The combination of Tirunelveli and Tanjore has produced some great receipts too. The Kerala input adds to it. I don’t understand how people think it is boring to be a vegetarian. For the non veg there will never be a burst of flavours like in veg, instead of smothering it in onion garlic tomato, ginger
Aunty is a big source of inspiration in cooking for me. Ava pesaradha kettale manasukku 2 tumbler payasam kudicha maadiri themba irukku. Kudos to you both.
Recalling my time with my son,....years back, sitting on the medai, tasting sundakai vathal etc......only i wasn't so good a cook like Rama... God bless u both...Lalitha mani
Never knew that a gravy without onions, tomatoes and garlic would taste this great, tried this today and was very yummy, and everyone on my home liked it, thanks for sharing such an amazing recipe 🙏🏼
I totally agree! Indian cooking today has degenerated into tomato onion garlic ginger coriander that my helper feels lost if any of these ingredients are missing. Thakkali illamal Rasam eppidi! Sambarkku kothumalli illaye! Sambarkku thakkali podavendaama, yemma?
Naalu mentiyam kooda poduva illaya? Illennalum nanna dan irukkum My in-laws are. From Trichur; they add a little grated coconut too and call it pulingari! Naturally urad dal is cut out and kadalaparuppu is reduced I interpret it as sambarcminus cooked dal
I tried this today Rama - I have got some farm fresh chakkara valli and was pondering what to do with it. It came out really well and 2 picky kids ate it. so a big thumbs up from me and thanks.
I made this today came out well. Thanks to you and your Mom. Sweet potato is rarely used vegetable and this recipe makes a routine in my home from now on.
