    I think those “twinzers” will go great in the Seaside. Even faster, more control. Will feel a lot more stable

      Im hopeful they will be ok because I have seen what Kookapinto has been doing with small fins on mid-lengths. I didn't like the Machado (version 1) quad set so there is a chance this works well. I wont fault it if it's not ideal because they are for good waves. I will let you know how it goes!

    I did put (by mistake ) the bigger fins back on my board fcs2 and it worked fine for me. Than everybody tell me it was the other way around and it work fine too

      Thank you for verifying this. I suspected it was possible to do. It would be good to test more and see what you ultimately prefer. Im sure the fin design will contribute to this.

    Until these become readily available here in Australia... especially in futures... could you recommend a fin combination, such as front & rear sizings to achieve the same results?
    Eg. Perhaps large rears and side bites running in the forward slots!
    Are there fins existing that would achieve that??
    Also, are there any places here that can make / replicate ... either Glassing or 3d printing this setup... as I saw the dimensions shared on the MFC site??

    For the wave at 2:09 , It seems that you didn’t even get to the wave face and of course no maneuvers at all. I would say you might need proper wave and skills to test “big wave fins”. Cheers.

      that was filmed the next day and the swell had dropped a lot overnight. Kai Lenny says he tested these fins from 2 feet to 80 feet and they blew his mind. I agree they can be surfed in all sized waves. ruclips.net/video/LioKLOpBlLs/видео.htmlsi=KQbhpLouevIAb3nd&t=15 Have a nice day.

      @@blinksurf My point is you were saying “6ft, fast, smooth” with the footage of you stuck in the whitewater. That really bugs me whether it’s the wave or the skill level.
      As for Kai Lenny’s video, he showed the exact footage of what he was talking about. No problem to me.

    • @blinksurf
      @blinksurf  5 месяцев назад

      I get what you are saying@@sway8938 YOu can relax because that footage was not from that particular wave i was describing . Its the only footage I had and I thought it might make the video more interesting to watch. I filmed the footage the day after because my GoPro jammed up the first day. That bugged me too at the time since we don't get large waves that often where I surf. I'm just sharing my own experience with the fins and in my opinion as an intermediate (at best) surfer, the fins felt really good for me. Take it for what it's worth. Hopefully next cyclone swell I'll get better footage and make more videos. Take care.

      @blinksurf  5 месяцев назад

      FWIW I know the videos need footage. So, I paid a guy to film me and he missed 2/3 of the wave I caught on another board test I was doing. Very frustrating, Thats why I bought a GoPro. Expect better footage in the future. I'm working specifically on solving this.@@sway8938 Thanks for your feedback.

      @@blinksurf No worries. I reckon surfing footage is crucial for gear reviews. Filming on shore is even more important than GoPro POV, so good luck on the next filmer.

      Just out of curiosity, what is it about the mach ado fins that you found terrible? I'm not an advance surfer (more intermediate) and I have been using the 2nd gen machado fins on my pod mod and I really am enjoying them. Perhaps, due to my current journey in learning turns I am not sensitive enough to the idiosyncrasies of fins.

      @christophegautier1294 I tried them in FIrewire seaside, seaside and beyond, a Christenson Nautilus, a SMTH Humanoid and what I found was they were very stiff and felt slow compared to other fins. Important to note - I am talking about generation 1 version and I noticed they have scrapped those fins and replaced them with a newer gen 2 version in 2022. Obvs Rob is a legend and can surf well on anything. In this video he talks about trimming some surface area off the front fins and making them curvier ruclips.net/video/GD2rAdzUXns/видео.html

    • @adambane1719
      @adambane1719 6 месяцев назад

      Not one single bit bro. You're riding the wrong type of surfboards if you think your fins are the part thats "holding you back".@@joeblow1942

    • @blinksurf
      @blinksurf  6 месяцев назад +4

      This may be your truth and that's cool. It's been the opposite in my experience. Different fins can dramatically change how some surfboards feel to me. That in turn has helped me surf better. When you lock in on the perfect fins for the board everything becomes easier. In my other video about fins, many of the commenters came back to say they changed fins and experienced better surfing.
