    I replaced the control valve without removal of the wiper assembly on my CLS55. Its a bit more fiddly, but doable. Good video 👍

      How did you do it? You replaced it from the bottom?

      @@dadokum1No, all from the top. It helps if you have smaller hands (which I do haha 😁)

      This will fix hot air blowing out rear vents and semi cold out front vents. 2 shops told me this was not the problem so i did it myself. Make sure you bleed air out after you replace valve.

      Yes, I completely forgot to order one, but not difficult to do so I'll order once this week most likely, and yes also a good idea to replace worry blades while you have them off, I'll pay a link to them on FCP euro! Appreciate you watching and your feedback as well!

    Thanks for the video, it was a big help.
    Two things... I didnt have to remove the intake to get that front hose off/on. Getting those metal clips off the heater control valve was a nightmare. They do not come off easily and the rear bottom one was very difficult to reach. Every video I saw made it seem as if getting these clips off was trivial.

      Yeah I wish I could have filmed the way I pulled the clips off, I just needed both hands because I do remember struggling with it for a good 5 minutes lol

    My cls550 is leaking water to the passenger floor I think is because my cowl is missing the side hoses... any idea where those hoses are supposed to drain the water?

    305 is the best for the rear and use a aftermarket suspension control unit

      Yeah currently running 305s on my other cls55, love them!

    All plastic parts on a mercedes that has coolant going through them becomes brittle and breaks easily after about 7 years, so keep an eye on your other coolant plastic parts.

    Hello I have a cls55, and I think I need to do this job. I woke up today and all of sudden I have no heat! I don’t think it’s heater core related to having cold A/C, no swampy/sweet smell, and my heat worked great one day and didn’t the next. My question is, did you happen to notice any symptoms before it went out? I also noticed I can’t seem to find much info on a heater core replacement online… or a video.

    • @thiccls3948
      @thiccls3948  Год назад +1

      My symptoms were cold air blasting when setting it to heat and the center console would blow out hot air to rear passengers when the ac was on

      @@thiccls3948 good note. In my case it’s just cold air when I decide to use the heat. Its just stays at a temperature cold AF. I’ll be ordering the part, hopefully it solves my issue. Thanks for the quick reply.

      So ended up doing this job today. Ended up only having a bit of hard time removing the lower hose pin, but after that it was a breeze. At first, it didn’t work, but after driving the car, it indeed solved my issue. Thanks so much for this video 🤩 helped big time.

      I test fitted a 10 and felt like it wasn't enough, definitely gonna try a 20, work case it doesn't work out and I use the 20 for my drag pack instead
