HARD TO BELIEVE ANOTHER WORLD WAS ON TV 35 YEARS (1964-1999) & 8,891 EPISODES---THAT,S 600 SOME EPISODES MORE THEN ALEX TREBEK,S 36 YEARS ON JEOPARDY & 8,243 EPISODES (1984-2020-DEATH)!!
I.M SURPRISED THAT ANOTHER WORLD DIDN,T HAVE A SOUNDTRACK CASSETTE TAPE & OR CD OF THE PREVIOUS THEME BEFORE THIS THEME ALONG WITH THIS ONE ALONG WITH OTHER PREVIOUS THEMES BEFORE THESE 2!!
Oh wow! I didn't know that! I do barely remember Maggie Baird from my all-time fave soap As The World Turns. She was a contract cast member (they had about 40 at the time!! -- the budgets must have still been huge!) for only maybe a year and a half. Her character was a vixen who tried to come between Lyla Montgomery (Anne Sward) and her fiance Casey Peretti (Bill Shanks). I used to remember the character's name but long ago. She was closer in age to Casey than "cougar" Lyla was. But true love won out! Just a little trivia: the actress who played Katie Peretti for years (love you Terri Conn!!) is now a QVC program host on the weekdays! She was also very nice when I met her at the very last As The World Turns fan club event in 2008 or 2009.
cfs89, thank you so much for putting this version on here. In my opinion, this is the best theme Another World ever had! It is heavily orchestrated and dramatic, yet light at the same time. Perfect! Thank you!
Gosh I loved this music, and I was always so pleased when they played the full version at the end. I'm from Australia, and they stopped showing it here a while before it was cancelled in the US - I was really upset! I can always remember my Dad walking into the kitchen one morning and laughing out loud as I was sitting there open mouthed in shock at a particular scene! Was a great show...I'll always remember Another World :)
It was always a special treat when the entire theme, including the ending was played, which didn't happen very often. I would love to have the entire recording.
YAY! The FULL theme right to the end! Awesome. I used to spend every day in front of the TV with my tape recorder hoping to catch the full theme like this. I agree with zanderpup...that is a special treat! Thanks!
The 1975-1981 INTERLOCKING RINGS THEME & THIS 1981-1987 THEME ARE IN A TIE IN MY OPINION!!--2 OF THE BEST ANOTHER WORLD THEMES IN IT,S 35 YEAR HISTORY ON NBC 5-4-1964-6-25-1999.
MY LATE MOTHER LOIS ANN ROUTHIER 10-28-1934-5-6-1984 WATCHED THE DOCTORS & DAYS OF OUR LIVES & ANOTHER WORLD FROM LIVING IN ST.PAUL MN & BALTIMORE MD UNTIL HER 1984 CANCER ILLNESS/DEATH.
I like the Rubinstein Theme (“Interlocking Rings”) , This Theme, and The Gary Morris-Crystal Gayle Theme. I miss Bill Wolff’s voice too. I LOVE ANOTHER WORLD!!!!!!!!!!
loved this one mainly because it fit so well when they ran the "today on AW that they did for a year or two. But I truly don't think it stacks up to the 75-81 slower dramatic one for recognizability and originality. THAT was one haunting theme. The biggest thing is--the fast opening with the spinning faces stunk! It did NOT compare to the rings with the slow music. So, on that basis, this one pales imo
2 ABSOLUTELY PERFECT ANOTHER WORLD THEMES!!--1975-81 INTERLOCKING RINGS THEME & THIS ONE FROM 1981-87!!

such a beautiful , beautiful theme song and gives me goose bumps hearing it.

The 1981 theme sure brings some beautiful memories here.
This theme sounded lovely and beautiful.
The previous one was beyond beautiful Should have kept it with the rings.
@@m.e.d.7997 It's now on CTV since 1990 'cause the 1981 rousing theme stays
here until 1999 when AW canceled by NBC.
Fun fact: Maggie Baird (Rhonda Sadowsky), is Billie Eilish's (yes, THE Billie Eilish) mother in real life.

Marcel Parker I hope you will reply to this I love Billie Eilish
As I commented before, this was my favorite theme, and I wanted to add how I love the theme's ending.

It always soothed me.

It transferred to Foxtel (cable) in 1995 I think in Australia from its home on Channel 10
@@ThePolaroid669 Ah, I think you're right from memory! They actually had a soap opera channel on Foxtel when it was first came out here
Victoria Wyndham and Linda Dano will ALWAYS be Another World in my book

I absolutely agree. I loved this theme song. It was a wonderful melody which was very uplifting, yet dramatic.
YAY! The FULL theme right to the end! Awesome. I used to spend every day in front of the TV with my tape recorder hoping to catch the full theme like this.
I agree with zanderpup...that is a special treat! Thanks!
This was always my favorite theme. I don't know why shows had to change them. To me the change in themes was not for the better.
Soaps Golden Age -- you nailed it! NOTHING beat the 75-81 Rubenstein theme and that beautiful rings logo -- and nothing ever will!
TimsDale4ever you are right. The Interlocking Rings are golden. I wish those rings were still with us. Too bad AW got CA.NC.EL.ED
Agreed. My late grandmother loved all those soaps. What memories!

I am very much entranced by that sweet-looking blonde at the 1:29 mark! Name please?
Linda Borgeson, who played Alice Frame from 1981-82 & recurred as Sylvia Whitley on General Hospital from 1983-84
I like the Rubinstein Theme (“Interlocking Rings”) , This Theme, and The Gary Morris-Crystal Gayle Theme. I miss Bill Wolff’s voice too. I LOVE ANOTHER WORLD!!!!!!!!!!
I love the theme that was before this one much better. It's more prettier.

Great theme, and the very end at 2:42 is awesome!
Meanwhile Andreas Katsulas as Security Guard #3 was better known as Frederick Sykes, the one-armed man in the Harrison Ford version of THE FUGITIVE.
@hjmcgill You're absolutely right, a great theme.
Didn't they ever have any promos for "Texas" during any of these AW closing credits???
John Goodman as Security Guard # 2 - Love it!
Not that John Goodman.
WAIT. JOHN GOODMAN WAS ON AW. UN.BE.LI.EV.AB.LE
A bit slimmer.
That's John Goodman in his early role before Roseanne & the Conners.
I hope y’all will reply to this who liked the theme song to Another World sung by Gary Morris and Crystal Gayle???????!!!!!
Don't like this theme song...
+4021971 Which one did you like. I always enjoyed this theme, especially when they later played credits over live action from the week.
