Wow! Can you imagine the networks today agreeing to 3:33 of end credits? They would never want to give up that much commercial and promotional time. I miss end credits when they were done like this!
It’s bad enough they stopped with closing credits with soaps which was the backbone to the show. And I believe Another World was the first to do it around 1994 or 1995.
@@a.b.s_productions Daytime TV gradually stopped doing end of show end credits, with I believe Price is Right being the last do to so in September 1999. Jeopardy did recently have a 90 second end of show credits, and that's quite unusual for any TV show these days
@@a.b.s_productions Correct. NBC started the trend of "split-screen" credits in fall 1994. All the networks eventually followed suit with their own style.
Wow! I’ve never seen this AW closing sequence with an alternative version of the 1981-87 theme before. Thank you for sharing this! I was going to ask if you have the AW episode from the same date containing this closing sequence but I’m sure (and I understand) that you probably do not have it. Also, thank you for sharing your new "Texas" content! I really appreciate it. - Greetings from Houston, Texas! Best regards, Edwyn.
@@myfilmz WHO-TV in Des Moines, IA had AW at 2 pm, pre-empting MG-HS and DOOL in favor of an afternoon movie and a kid's local programming called "The Floppy Show"

Guiding Light had closing credits still after 2000
I found a :59 ending credits for Guiding Light with the lighthouse background from 2001
My grandma loved this soap, rest her soul.
The first time I heard this theme with guitars. Nice
NBC staff announcers' voices:
0:04 + 3:15 - Bill Wolff ("AW" billboard + closing tag)
1:08 - Vic Roby (primetime promo)
I have never heard this closing theme, ever!
Three minutes of credits? That would never happen now... that's six commercials!
Someone should bring back Another World
This is pretty cool! The “Another World” theme with a country-western flare!
Nope.
We ♥️AW Soap Opera’s
I loved this opening and closing theme as a kid.
This was a far cry from the original "Another World" theme song.
I love this theme with the 'country western ' version. Ah, how i miss the days when soaps were extremely entertaining!
Neat last time i heard this version was when Rachel and Steve were trapped after his Building caved in
The Night Hawk Building
Great theme. Wow!
3:17 - “Join us each Weekday at this time for the continuing story of ANOTHER WORLD.”
I like when the credits is going slow
Ada was wonderful
