Just upgraded from the 12 Pro Max to the 16 Pro Max 256 GB in white titanium. Definitely a big upgrade and so many welcome improvements. If you have a 12 or older, definitely consider upgrading. The 6.9 inch 120 hz screen with dynamic island and these tiny bezels looks amazing!
Jumped from the 15 Pro to the 16 Pro Max. Got about ~5-6 hours of screen on time with Always On Display and Background Refresh turned off on the 15 Pro. Now I’m getting 12+ hours of screen on time with the 16 Pro Max! It was worth the upgrade for me.

The battery on the 16 pro max is a monster. Had the 16 pro and was barley getting 5 hours of screen time (mainly Spotify podcast and some use of social media) returned it for the 16 pro max, the phone is also huge but well worth it just in battery life alone, I’ll go a 1.5 days without a charge.

I’m talking about installing custom ROMs to improve performance, using apps like Greenify, ROM Toolbox, Tasker, Xposed Framework, SuperSU, Disk Digger, etc., for automation. I got tired of all that time wasted on customizing, automating, and tinkering with the phone every day just to make it work 100%. That's why I decided to switch to iOS with an iPhone 16 Pro Max. I just want my phone to work, and work well, without worrying about pointless optimizations. I'm very happy with the device and don't plan to return to Android as long as my financial situation allows it. Of course, I’ll change my device every 4 or 5 years. No brand offers true innovations or useful changes in their current annual upgrade cycle, whether it's Apple, Xiaomi, Samsung, etc.
This ‘a day with the iphone’ format is really great where it gives an insight on what one can expect from the new iPhone in real world. Also great editing man! Really like effects that you add.

I upgraded from a Pacific Blue iPhone 12 Pro to a Black Titanium iPhone 16 Pro Max. I love the Dynamic Island, Action Button and Camera Control, and the bigger size feels great. I love Apple Intelligence as I am using iOS 18.2 Beta and it is useful but only from time to time. The rounded edges and titanium frame feels WAY better than the fingerprint-y stainless steel and sharp edges. The 8-15 hour battery life can get me through 1 and a half days, and the cameras with a 48 MP Main and Ultra-wide (which means better macro) is better than 12 MP cameras, but I’ll upgrade from the 16 Pro Max when Apple introduces a 24 or 48 MP telephoto camera.

Gotta admit this wasn’t a fair day. We shot a ton of videos and photos. I’m actually really impressed with the battery that day considering how much work it did.
I got the ESR screen protector and it is crazy easy to apply. Wasn’t a fan of the camera lens protectors though. My battery life on my 16 pro max is amazing. Full day battery life with lite gaming right now cause life is busy. Can’t wait to travel with it and really game.
I’m not sure if you figured it out yet, but to get on screen controls while using camera control button, you need to turn off “clear preview” in the camera settings

I have a 14 pro max 1tb with a shellrus screen protector and a pitaka mag ez case.. really tempted to return the 16pm and wait for the 17 because the changes are so very incremental. I only ordered it because my term was about to end but I think I’ll keep it. As a heavy photo/camera user I do like the 48 wa lens change and the 4k 120.
Every time you tried showing us the screen the reflection was so crazy made me think of the Samsung screen and that non reflective feature now I see why it's a thing

6:56 at that close range, even though you have 5x selected, you are effectively using the main lens, cropped at 5x times, because the telephoto lens cannot focus that close.
i switch to the new pro max each year, and since the 13 PM , this one feels more like just a little upgrade, so i'll keep my 15 PM , and send back my 16 PM to Apple. what i noticed is 16 PM is way better efficient even with AOD on , compared to the 15 PM , i did tests , and after hours of Kart Riders Rush + on both and the 15PM was at 50% after the test , but the 16 PM was at 72% ( my 15 PM battery health is 96% ) . + the bigger screen in height makes the phone feels more like a phablet than the regular 15 PM , the 16 PM is just a few mm taller, but it weird cos you notice it each time you switch to it . but the rest is meh, same screen, but yeah the 16 PM can do darker to 1 nit. speackers are same volume overall but a bit more depth in the 16 PM but it's anedoctal , same with camera control , not sure this button will stay long... imho the 16 PM is great if you come from a 12 PM or 13 PM or 14 PM , but compared to a 15 PM where Apple intelligence already works also on 18.1 the changes are minimal this year.
Lol iPhone users are not about to tell me a whole wireless pad stuck to the back of your phone, attached to a cable, is more convenient than me plugging in my phone for 30 mins and getting 100% lol

12:37 go into camera settings > camera controls and turn off clean preview. This will always show camera controls and won’t hide them.

You can turn the menu options back to always on in the camera settings.
