For anyone interested, a group called "Blackmore's Night" put out an album in 1997 called "Shadow of the Moon" and it is simply unreal how many of the melodies and music were either inspired by or lifted, outright, from the works of this man.
Yes “Renaissance Faire” is credited to Susato directly. Ritchie Blackmore, always a legendary rock guitarist, is superbly skilled on Renaissance-era instruments and adores the music.
Когда задумывпешься сколько сотен лет прошло от написания этих шедевров и тут я в 21 веке слушаю то- дух захватывает! Люди которые были современниками этой музыки лежат уже бооее 500 лет .прахом земным!
Have you listened to the earlier album called "Two Renaissance Dance Bands" with the Early Music Consort of London, led by the late David Munrow? It would be interesting to hear your impressions or comparisons.
This is an absolutely magnificent recording of the wonderful music of Susato, played by an ensemble which fully understands how it is to be played. Whenever I play the CD of this music I stop anything else I have to do and just melt into it, wishing that I could be playing an instrument with this group.
A favorite album of mine since it was first released. Bought and distributed several copies to family and friends. So good to find it here for convenient anywhere listening. Thank you! Note: excellent coding music ;-)

Your comment was the first I knew of the block being lifted! I'm delighted because I don't have the original file anymore so I thought this video was gone forever.
@@telemachus53 I'm very sorry. It's not me who puts the ads on, it's the label that released the album. I'd highly recommend Newpipe or RUclips Vanced for ad-free listening without paying RUclips for the privilege.
@@fredbarker9201 I used iMovie on mac to make this. The whole process is just a lot more intuitive on mac rather than windows (which is what I have now.) I checked out your history playlist. Some good stuff on there.

Ah still enjoyed around 500 years later
Maravilloso, trasunta la confianza en el hombre de esa época dorada en muchos aspectos. Muy bello.
500 years later and its still blowing my mind, and in another 500 years it will be as beautiful
Mooi uitgevoerd en om vrolijk van te worden.
This is a wonderful compilation! I have played it every day since I discovered it a fortnight ago.

Blackmore did say that he got into medieval music in 74 through the works of Susato.

OK I JUST HAD A QUICK LISTEN AND THEY REMIND ME OF PENTANGLE A BRITISH GROUP FROM THE 1970S YOU WOULD LIKE THEM ,,, CHECK OUT CRUEL SISTER.

You're very welcome! More music coming soon.
Have you listened to the earlier album called "Two Renaissance Dance Bands" with the Early Music Consort of London, led by the late David Munrow? It would be interesting to hear your impressions or comparisons.
I used to have a cassette with these in VERY low quality. Thanks so much now I have heard them in good quality for the first time in 30 years.
Passé i medio at 2:05 is for me the best part. I love this peace. It is short but it let me dream of the old times. The renaissance!!
I adore Susato. The fanfare (first piece) always makes me imagine the court of Henry VIII and Queen Anne Boleyn before everything went very downhill…
This is an absolutely magnificent recording of the wonderful music of Susato, played by an ensemble which fully understands how it is to be played. What instrument plays at 21:00? Btw thanks for this upload it's amazingly beautiful
I think it's possibly a Consort of racketts.
That's actually a keyboard instrument called a Regal organ...bellows-powered; brass reeds. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regal_(instrument)
Someone really must start an early music group called A Consort Of Racketts.
Wow! The full Danserye! Not an abridged version!
Hi Jack, how u been?

What's the instrument at 26:30?!
Hello. There are two instruments playing here. A rommel pot and a hurdy gurdy.
