Great guest, bring him back every new core set imo
Have never heard of this guy before this, but I totally agree. He was really pleasant, funny, and had great insights.
I know this guy because of the sky striker Maliss
It was sad hearing from him that the deck may not be viable anymore 😢
Absolutely more Jib please, this man is the absolute goat and is an awesome person on this podcast
It's me, I'm the kid who cried when OSS got banned 😢
1% of pendulum player's pain
Cries in rescue ace
Only just picked it up
We do not feel sorry lad
@@xyz-dharak I don't either 😆😂
Finally someone with a proper yugioh haircut.
Great episode and guest. Other than the discussions about the new set, I also found the conversation about the differences between tournaments in Europe and US very insightful. A podcast with competitive players that focuses on the differences between each region could be great.
Love the podcast keep em coming
Generic topical idea: The current rise/trend of economically high stake money matches and constant push of spreadsheets and masterclass.
I hear many points including:
“Do I need this to play competitively?”
“I’m supporting a yugituber I like.”
“Is it worth it compared to playing the deck or any other free content?”
“Are decklists no longer free and a fun aspect of the game?”
“What happened to just playing the deck?”
“This paywall list didn’t even top.”
Ect. ect. I’m sure there are pros, cons, opinions that more folks in community collectively may have and shared though I don’t think there’s been a long-form content piece done thus modern era.
his recap of his shaddoll years was hilarious
52:30 That's exactly the reason why I play Maliss. You sometimes (actually reasonablky often) have these hands that just push through Ash + Imperm + Nib like it's nothing. It just requires a lot of time spending on the deck so that you figure out the weird spots where you could get handtrapped and what to do in that specific scenario. Ash, Imperm, Belle, Ogre, Nib all get played, all can be activated at multiple different points in the combos and they all require different answers. Feels really rewarding when you nail it though
Hey why is this episode not on spotify?
Chimera always gets skipped. Not only did I have to have RUclips open on my drives to work this week because you forgot to put this on Spotify, but also when talking about the new elzette azamina, the biggest deal is that I get to cope on chimera because you can search elzette off of any of your illusion searchers, use it to fuse with fusion berfomet to make moe regina, then use moe to revive elzette to make chaos angel and search the fusion quickplay, which now you can go into fs and make a bao and revive main deck berf into the hand rip using the extra bodies and you can use the quickplay fusion outside of the main phase on opps turn for guardian chimera. In the azamina variant, now chimera can bridge into both azamina and fiendsmith in the same go. I can't actually be mad at you guys, love the podcast, can't wait for more.
Is this getting uploaded to Spotify?
This episode is still not up on spotify 😢
Crazy how often Farfa tries to use Naturia as an example of legacy support changing a deck when Naturia was always a control deck. All of it's negates are from old Naturia (Sunflower from 2010), as are it's bosses (Beast and Barkion in 2010), and it's resource loop (Sacred Tree in 2014). Expanding further than that they had Horneedle and Vein as interrupts that tribute like Sunflower, swarming with Hydrangea, Antjaw, and Cherries, and Stinkbug to stall.
They didn't change it's gameplan. They just made support that didn't suck lol. Honestly, some stuff like Antjaw and Hydrangea aren't even that unplayable these days (Antjaw + any protection is a board by itself even). You have GOT to find a better example than this deck.
Rank 4 spam deck.... josh did we forget about zodiac lunalight? Or the raidraptor variant?
Maliss not being a trap/control oriented deck still hurts me. It has all the tools for it, but because they're cyberse they just devolved into yet another cyberse pile and lost all kind of identity
It's always funny hearing people talk about the game using fan translated ocg card names
59:40 meowls is the corkscrew in the pocket knife
Jib is the GOAT.
Mitsu Ryzeal is actually cracked as hell!
I already hate playing against it lmao
@@alexanderbatterbee8369 it made me not care about yugioh for probably the entirety of 2025
@@NinthSettler felt
Its crazy that they didnt talk about the support that is literally on the cover and is one of the most popular fan-favorite archetypes.
Aar·Kuh·Tipe
Gladiator beasts is my favorite arch type in all of yuigioh and this new support made me so happy. Idk what Josh is on about. The deck is significantly better
you guys should have gage on for next guest, he is always so energetic!
What would be the topic?
@ i honestly wouldn’t care what topic, perhaps maybe how he’s part of every yugioh series? he’s just a fun ball of energy just yapping with him for an hour and a half would fun with or without topic😂
@@KixMusaid yeah, Yugioh series are really interesting, I wish a future season of Hardleg's Chaos Draft had Josh as cohost.
It’ll be a yapping cast lol but I’m all down for the hang out
Gage, as in nhymnim?
Can we give haripes a new synchro before we decide to stop supporting legacy decks?
Why is this not on Spotify yet 😭😭
Spotify?
Great guest
I just went up against a full Orcust board with the new support cards. I'm not excited to play them at all
Maliss traps are spells in disguise
Loosing to lancea and shifter?
I felt that.. ( a orcust player )
Materiactor is a deck that gets bodied by Nibiru, but if you're allowed to play you will end on 10+ interruptions.
Spotify when?
Fitting guest for supreme darkness ngl
It wasn’t mentioned but does Crystron use Genex Undine?
No
@@payfloo7008Thank you
Not anymore, no. You've got better starters now
It's weird that y'all are apparently ignoring the fact that White Forest Azamina Fiendsmith (without snake eyes) is a deck that has gotten a decent number of ocg tops. The power boost from SUDA is very significant, propelling the deck to a level where it could get a YCS top even in the current landscape
Nah man, I'm hoping elzzet drops to 20 usd so I'm hoping no one does anything with it
Nobody is ignoring. It's been tried in DB ladder and it ain't it. Mitsurugi Ogdoadic more viable and it just came out 😭. Reminder that OCG =/= TCG cuz we have full power Fiendsmith meta and no Maxx C like how Unchained was best deck in 2023
It doesn’t have appolusa to fall back on when it gets drolled like it does in the OCG. That’s why.
The endboard is insane. Issue is i dont think it can play brilliantky into boards.
People are ignoring the deck simply because Ryzeal is easier to and Maliss has a bunch of degenerate cyberse bs. That's all it is. Once blue eyes comes out as well, I believe the format will be diverse again.
Konami if you see this, DONT YOU DARE MESS UP THE BA LEGACY SUPPORT!
Noo Jib please tell me I can still make sky striker Maliss work 😢
Thats Jib
Hay, you should bring casual cooper to the podcast to talk about old yugioh games in the early days collection
Idc what anyone says, farfa streaming the LCSes back in the day was PEAK
kage level duelist
1:42:50 he knows
Best Version of Crystron is hands down Azamina + Kashtira Variant right now. One weakness that is prevalent with the pure build is that high crystron count hands tend to have diminishing returns and they don't really have much they can do if they get lancea'd, the Azamina Kashtira build intentionally inflates the deck count to increase the possibility of drawing an optimal number of crystron cards by pairing it with two engines that don't really run any proper bricks (Kashtira Birth is a hard brick and Deception can be a brick but it also gives you a handtrap resistant line to the full crystron combo if you open it with any crystron starter). These two engines also put up some sort of board presence alongside a tristalos if you get hit with Lancea and can even circumvent to need the need draw any crystron cards in your opener thanks to an old but gold rank-7 XYZ in Dracossak who makes Cherubini through its tokens and then gives you enough mats to make S:P little knight to protect your crystron combo.
"Hallowed Azamina" is also a hard brick in that Version.
what is ironmanning?
playing for money
3v3 but each team plays one deck together
Ar (ch)> (k) itype
The glad beast disrespect...
Love how they didn't even mention the Hero stuff. Like I get it's not great but they at least mentioned Argostars and those are arguably worse. Plus it's the set's cover card. Come on guys
Joshua always talking as a konami rep
Farfa just doesn’t know maliss is the most ignorant deck in the format when it comes to playing through HTs. And can also play 20+ non engine.
rthats EVERY top tier meta deck, if u dont play 20+ non engine its not a playable deck most of the time.
My son. Type shiii
SUDA made yugioh worse
but this is no surprise, yugioh gets worse every time new cards release
Jib is a street name for meth
*Mitsurugi is a ritual archetype*
Ew... Yeah no thanks 😅
Only good ritual deck was nekroz on 2015, and not since then (i guess voiceless voice was OK.....)
@benvarley2927 And? Doesn't mean I have to care about ritual decks. Also lets not pretend Drytron and Voiceless weren't good. Just because they weren't tier zero doesn't mean they were bad lmao.
Also I just hate rituals because they are rituals in name only. Constantly cheating their own mechanic while having busted support for said mechanic BECAUSE its so ass. Just leads to bad card design
@@sammydray5919bro I'm pretty sure you showed your spaz for no reason. Think he was just agreeing ritual decks aren't based.
