It is so hilariously predictable that a series about building "casual archetype decks" immediately devolved into arguing over what counts as too tryhard
maybe not 3 but yeah I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't last super long, like broke boy or master of faster, at a point you'd just run out of guests
Unfortunately this series is unbelievably unfair because MBT can pull completely wacky deck ideas out of his ass with cards you have never even heard of in like 30 seconds flat lmao
Legitimately crying laughing on this, from how Farfa just stirred the pot so hard MBT couldn't stop corpsing, to Doug coming in between with the perfectly timed back to back quips, to Gage just going quiet for a solid ten minutes before finally reaching his limit and going postal... only to hit the perfect punchline when he finally gets his chance for vindication. Actually fantastic, and with no shade on the deckbuilding; Gage's idea was fine, he just didn't anticipate how easy a target the 20 spellbook activations you have to make in between would be. You gotta have someone ripping into the chefs on this kinda thing anyway, it's part of the genre.
I like the concept of joseph, gage and doug trying to elaborate decks with the thematic cards and farfa just trying to improve his food jokes for the rest of the series

Honestly I love this series already just for the constant roasting between these four. Like the gimmick is fun, but making them play a series about creativity and having them just shit on each other honestly makes this so much fun.
It is neat how they all had different approaches to the deck theme (read more for spoilers): MBT made a dualtaining-esque combo to just force the opponent to attack Chocolate magician girl. Gage saw they were spell casters but wanted a more viable deck, so he stuffed them into a spellbook deck. Farfa wanted to meme with cards with food related names Dzeff made a draft/cube-esque deck combining the magician girls and charmers.
I was hiking up a mountain and found a guide along the way. I asked "how close am I to the peak?" He replied "Gage's combo missing timing" At that moment I knew... I'd found peak
1:05:45 my own anecdote to add onto there: my friend used to normal summon Relinquished. Nothing on the card said it needed to be ritual summoned, it just said that it CAN be ritual summoned with whatever relinquished needed.
Just had the thought that I could start a proper counter for all this and call it "Wheel Shit.png" as a play on "Real Shit.jpg" (It's just the face Doug makes in this whenever he heard the word "Wheel" at 0:44)
This series has a lot of potential! In the future like on the show Chopped, I would love to see cards that you don’t normally see together. In the show chopped you would get ingredients that you rarely see used together in a dish at a restaurant and must come up with something on the fly. Speaking to f Chopped I think using their format as well would be a good idea. Using their format will allow us to see 3 different mystery boxes full of ingredients to be used but you’ll probably have to use another program so you aren’t wasting your ur on something you’ll probably never use again. It was a great first episode and new content is always exciting!!! I can’t wait to see what yall cook up next!
doug may be right about the reason why that prophecy monster missed timing being the attack reduction but it could also be the attack redirection because the same thing will happen if you revive felgrand with decoy dragon and redirect the attack...it won't be able to banish anything
Going off of Farfa's idea of sending Magician Girls to the GY, I randomly remembered the effect of "Royal Straight Slasher" where you could send 5 monsters from Level 1 to 5 from deck to GY to nuke the opponents board, then Magicalized Fusion Quintet to nuke the board again. 😂 Such an ass idea, but I figured it'd be funny to bring up.
