Only reason the sheet is behind the net is because it was windy that day and the sheet kept flapping too much, that’s why I flipped it over to the back 👍🏻
😎 I have an outdoor setup. What you use as a screen? I had one of those screens that is for a canopy. It's just big enough for the projector to fill but it bleeds through.
Please link me to your net and projector setup!! I want to create this at my house. I think this could FINALLY be a projector that will work at my house! Thanks
I use my Epson EH-TW5650 projector that I already had for outdoor cinema nights, it’s a 3lcd colour HD so you don’t get that weird flicker that some projectors have. It’s a good investment. The net is just £50 off Amazon and a extra large cotton dust sheet £10, perfect for the projector

Hello mate, been looking at sims and they have just been a dream forever as they seem to be thousands but this set up in my head can be sub 1k. Am I right in saying that?! You have the garmin launch then all you need is the net a computer and a projector!? Does the garmin launch monitor come with the software for this or does it require some extra software!?
So it can be done on the cheap: £500 for the garmin r10 £100-250 for a home made frame £100 if you want a baffle net (get an archery net they are the same but cheaper!) or stick with a cheap net and use a dust sheet to project onto. I just use the garmin software, think it’s about £8.99 a month? I’d love awesome golf but that’s a huge upfront cost when on a budget. Garmin app works fine for your average golfer wanting to play some games or just hit the range, direction is really only want counts in a budget sim, just wanna see where the Bala gone. Check eBay for a used projector - buy the best you can afford but make sure it has Aux output so you can just plug in any speaker with a jack input (very handy). And that’s it! Oh you will need a way of getting what’s on your phone or tablet onto the projector, I use an iPhone so just have the little hdmi output adapter with a super long hdmi cable to reach the projector. Simples! P.s if you build the frame yourself (I used a scaffold metal website - none rust thin poles) you can means to your own specs, height width ect..
Just the garmin software and the screen is a paint dust cloth - biggest they have, you can then just swap out if they get dirty. I do have a 3m x3 m archery screen as well,
It’s honestly so easy! The net was only £50 of Amazon, get the smallest scaffold polls and build/ design your own frame, you def don’t need to go 3m up, 2m - 2.5 is fine, just don’t go getting the 60° out if you go lower then 3m in height 😂
It’s down at the moment but when the weather gets better I’ll do a vid for sure, wish I could have it indoors but you need subs high ceilings, i may build a wooden rain cover for it?
That hitting mat is doing you no favors - you’re basically hitting all your shots off of a tee. If you start skulling shots on the course this could be why
I do, but depends on which way the wind is blowing, if the wind is into then the screen blows around too much. Sometimes I tie it down as well, just need to be careful as it can ack like a giant sail 😂
Excellent set up mate .. this is my next project .. thanks for uploading 👍
Thanks! I just bought an R10 and will set it up this winter. Right now, using it at the range.
How do you like it? I’m thinking about buying one.
@@myles5868 love it so far. Just using at the range. Will set up as simulator this winter.
now that this comment is a year old do you have your simulator set up? and are you still liking the r10?
Hiya, what balls have the best reading on the R10?
How accurate is the carry distances and such?
Old free trampoline frames re arranged make for good golf net frames. Plus tramp mats x strong for sides and hit net.
Dig a section for your mat to sit in to avoid it from shifting. Your grass will grow around it and kinda fuse together.
Or get a bigger mat you can also stand on like at ranges
Where is the projector setup behind you? Is on a stand or hanging from something?
its behind camera off to right a little … he walks in front of it
Nice setup
Great set up!
Nice swing!
❤Your projector🎥📽 is amazing..😲❤
Thank you, but budget but works
What projector are you using?
@@josepaniagua3193 also wanna know this
I got a big enough mat so my feet are level with my ball. Also e6 app is way better imo. Cant beat the value tho
Have you tried the sheet in front of the net instead? (Asking because I'm about to set mine up in a similar fashion )
Only reason the sheet is behind the net is because it was windy that day and the sheet kept flapping too much, that’s why I flipped it over to the back 👍🏻
What kind of projector are u using? Can u show the rest of the set up
Just a normal Epsom projector, using iPhone hdmi connection and the Garmin app 👍🏻
Hey what size is this net you build please also do you not leave it out through winter?
Just a 3x4 meter off Amazon with a cheap £20 dust sheet over it 👍🏻
@@TeeShotsOnly did you buy the frame for the net on amazon too?
@@rlevene I built the frame myself just using small scaffold poles from a metal website 👍🏻
this is awesome
How’d you build that set up?
I have a video on it in my channel 👍🏻
whered u get the wooden plank from?
Just a random bit of wood from the shed 👍🏻
Awesome setup. Where is the projector located?
In the house looking out 👍🏻
Can you make a video on your setup and how you connected everything plus the cost?
I’d love to but sadly sold my Garmin a week ago, needed the cash 😢
How did you get the R10 to project on the screen?
Just connect my phone to a projector using the apple cable 👍🏻
What software do you use to project the image? Is it part of the Garmin unit?
Yeah just the Garmin app that you can use with the r10 👍🏻
Where's your projector at?
To the right side at an angle
It’s in my house, looking through a window just off to the right, I have an extra long cable to connect my iPhone/ipad to it via hdmi 👍🏻

Set up looks great, I don’t see any wires out of R10. Are you Air playing it to a projector?
You connect the r10 to your iPhone and then I connect the iPhone to the projector with cables 👍🏻 nice and easy
How far does the ball have to travel before it hits the net with the r10?
Roughly 8 foot 👍🏻
How much do you have invested in the whole set up?
£500 for garmin, £250-£300 for net and frame, £700 for projector - but I’ve had that for a few years, I use it for home cinema nights
Now you just need a proper hitting mat. 😊
My thoughts

Hey what is this net called or who makes it? Been trying to find a bigger one and they all seem to come back as the same 10x7 or 10x10 max
Golf practice barrier net 10x15foot on Amazon 👍🏻
Made by Finger Ten 👍🏻
@@TeeShotsOnlycan you show how to build the frame
How far is the ball from the net?
8 foot 👍🏻👍🏻
Doesn’t the R10 need at least 8ft in front of the ball?
It does, I have just under 10 foot to the net (angle makes it look closer)
Where did you put the projector?
In the house - pointing through a window
What the distance from screen to the launch monitor?
Just the distance garmin suggest - 10 foot from net, r10 7-8 foot behind me 👍🏻
Mate how did u get it vertical, i thought it was horizontal via app?
My phone is connected to the projector so what ever my phone is it will change on the projector
@@TeeShotsOnly Can you adjust the aspect ratio on the projector so that it fills the screen?
@@scottcraig2569 not 100% sure? I’d say yes if I car it from a iPad or computer rather then my phone as they have wider aspects

Why not throw the sheet in front of the net for better view
I do but the wind that day was blowing towards me so the sheet kept blowing up in the air, needed the net in front to keep it down 👍🏻
