While I agree, this is something that has come about with many games. Players have FOMO and with good reason, if you fall behind even for just a small amount your made to suffer because of the mob mentality which now is only taking the most geared and experienced people into every content. No longer do players think " I'll just take average players with average gear and see how it goes". Instead everyone thinks "who's the highest geared and best player, only they will do" mentality. Hence people don't like to fall behind even for just a week especially at season start.

I’ve struggled a bit with delves too pissed as a msucker when I get one shotted by an elite. But I have also found it’s usually based from mechanics I’m not familiar with. Most of the time even when your cc is on cool down you just need to move out from the attack areas lol! Great video and well needed explanation for casuals, who still exist by the way

I'm focusing on the campaign for now, doing some world quests, delves, and other stuff on the way for gear and renown. I'll shift the focus to gearing and leveling alts, once the campaign is complete.
One very important thing you can get from Delves is the rare Delver's Bounty drop which gives you a guaranteed piece of 610 Hero track loot at the end of the next 8+ Delve (scales down for lower level Delves). It's unknown exactly how rare it is but it seems like it's ~4% from each of the small chests at the end of a Delve and if Zekvir shows up and you defeat him then he also has a chance to drop it. I don't know if there's any kind of limits such as it only dropping once per day, or if it can only drop out of Bountiful Delves or anything like that.
Completed T8 solo with my il 572 fury war and Bran as healer! Looking forward to my il 616 vault gear today!! Fungal folly is an easy solo, just grab the mobs into the spore blast radius and it will do major damage to mobs!
To people who have been struggling in tier 8 delves, doing it as a party is as easy as doing a heroic dungeon. And you still get the guaranteed loot when you finish it.
@TheBigdaddydude it is not. That's why it has the option to do it as 2s, 3s, 4s, or 5s. It's just a more flexible version of a dungeon where you have the option to do it solo.
@TheBigdaddydude the whole concept of the delves was not to push solo content more, it was to push "outdoor" activities more that are not time based, group size based like mythic+ and raiding. You can go watch the war within pannel videos and they'll say the same.
@9:50 If I am not mistaken, Once you upgrade to a certain ilvl, the requirement of some of those resources will be removed if you want to upgrade a different items to the same ilvl. The game pushes you to not keep hording the resources and wants you to actually use it at any time
That is true, but how often are you going to upgrade an item and then later on upgrade another lower level item to that same item level? I was glad I hoarded at least some valor stones for when I started getting T8 delve items.

Quest rewards with lower vendor value. Maybe one or two WQ with 800 gold up at once and maybe all week

I've never gotten any loot from the vault. This expansion made is so easy to do, that I maxed out everything to get the most chances. I thought all of these years that you get to choose one piece of gear from each type of content. I was pretty disappointed to see you only get to choose ONE of the 9 options. I think this week I'm just going to get one in each category and not go nuts.
Three weeks into the expansion and I am already overwhelmed with the god damned undocumented systems. Delves, dungeons, crests, coffer keys, dailies within dailies, valorstones, world soul quests, planning your gear upgrades, figuring out if you should replace a bit of gear instead of upgrading it, HOW to upgrade gear, wakening machines, pack the azhkahet? Literally there is no way to keep up with WTAF I’m supposed to be doing.
Exactly…I been saying new players are never going to stick around and eventually vets are gonna move on. These systems are just to much and overwhelming. A game with like 600 different currencies is beyond dumb. I basically live on google and I’m over it.
Let me summarize all of these systems: "Do content, get appropriate gear and the relevant currency you need." But Bellular is describing all these different ways.. doesn't matter this video is aimed at people familiar with many of these systems already and looking for OPTIMAL efficiency. If you primarily do world content you get restored keys doing the things you do. These keys are then used in one of the world content things to do, delves, and if you actively do world content then delves are on your map and the ones to spend keys in are even bright and glowy. How to upgrade gear? Well, its a good thing there is literally a quest that walks you through it step by step. If you are more serious about gearing then you end up running raid and M+ (next week) and then ALL of those myriad of ways to gear in the video are mostly obsolete, just do the thing you want to do (raids/dungeons) and you get appropriate gear.
Can't even begin to understand how some people are angry/upset/confused that tier 8 delves are not as easy as killing packs of mobs out in the over world.

Rogues might not need to skip longer delves. Multi blind and vanish make it so you can do objectives without killing anything except the boss at the end. Very handy.
Fyi i was doing tier 8 on a ilvl 563ish blood dk and it was hard and a little slow but doable. Wife and i did 8s with me tank her dps and healer bran and they were super easy so duo is the way to go if you have a bud and a tank

I don’t get this save your crest.Isn’t it the case that you only need to spend crests once per slot?After that you just need to spend valorstones to upgrade to the max level you had. So what is the point in saving crests till reset when most people are swimming in valorstones?
Lets say you upgraded a veteran gear to 600 (6/8) by spending 2x15 weathered crests, and then you get a champion gear 2/8, with the same ilevel (600). You just “wasted” 30 crests. I would not worry about it all that much outside a weekly basis though, unless you trying to get geared asap and push m+ starting next week

I mean just break it down to do delves at tier 8 with keys, do lfr and normal if you can, and get your vault ready for next week pretty easy to get down
That screen was for week one when we had a choice. Week two was to open the archives, and this week is just world quests. I bet the weekly rotates for a few weeks then it goes back to us choosing.

In terms of "re-crafting" can you have a puece made using a spatk but then upgrade it later wuth a crest when you have one? Or would u need another spark to remake the whole thing
You only ever need one spark for one piece. It will never tell you to put another spark for recrafting. And yes what you're saying works like that. If you want to upgrade it in a few days, just put it on recraft with a crest and it's done. (Normal mats are required)
i dont like the reset mechanics of the vault. i'm pretty new to the game and did a lot of dungeons and delves but didnt know about the vault. now it all reset and my progress from the last week is lost. :(
I totally agree! Since vanilla I did every prof every expansion. I stopped that in dragonflight. It was way too complicated and my attention span too short to figure it out . I loved profs before 😭
Disagree, I've always been a fan of crafting but ever since doing the same things since 4ever makes every profession boring as he'll. The way it is now give a lot more of flavor to it and makes it more difficult and slow-paced, making it a lot more meaningful. It's good to see professions being a part of the character as much as your class skills are for a change.
Another way of saying " I dont care about crafting being interesting, its a means to an end to me" - crafting was redesigned to - be - interesting in its own right
This didn’t age well. Blizz hotfix’d delves to the point you need to out gear the tier to do them in group and solo for most specs. The feature is effectively dead.
I was doing a lvl 8 Delve. All good... got to a room where waves of spiders spawns and you gotta survive them. I had done that on my hunter previously, and i thought i may be able to survive it on my warlock too (both ilvl 588) At the start of the waves the secret boss Zerkvir spawned....and killed me of course.... I got an achievement for being killed woohoo... and he left loot after he despawned wtf... Still kinda shitty
This is nothing compared to past expansions. The time investment is significantly lower and because it's over a week, there isn't an issue with it being DAILIES. That used to absolutely suck, missing dailies and losing progress.
Optional,not SL type of content where basicslly everything was mandatory or ull lose a lot.But ye wow playerbase now complains when there is bunch of stuff to do
I like the idea of delves, but it's terribly scaled. It should not be 10x easier as a group, because then it's really just another dungeon format. If you're a solo healer, maybe Brann should do a lot more damage to balance it? If you're a solo dps, maybe Brann should be able to heal a lot more? They say it's designed for solo content, but in reality? Not so much
I've never heard of warcraft logs before and looking through it kinda made me sick to my stomach. The idea of judging people based on data collected about them that they might not even be aware of is horrifically dystopian. I once had some rando bullying me about not even showing up on the "parse" and now I know what they were talking about. Screw all that and I find it sickening to see someone advising others to use these tools to judge people. I will never play WoW endgame again. It's apparent that when you get to that level of the game it isn't even about having fun anymore.
So, higher tier delves released as a failure. It was supposed to be solo content, but they're so overtuned you're better off making a group and breezing through it. Some specs and classes can definitely solo, I managed to solo some as ret 585 ilvl, but there are some like waterworks that are borderline impossible, especially the last boss (Waxface)
That doesn't really make sense since Blizzard even recommends 600+ ilevel for T8 delves. Just because people are doing it in worse gear doesn't mean it's overtuned.
I'm loving Delves. They're really incredible for scratching the wow gameplay itch with some strong rewards. Kinda wish I didn't have to do get keys for bountiful but I guess it gets you out into the world. Some things do feel a bit overtuned at times but that's probably because I'm doing 8s at sub 580
@@CosmicClericthey were never only solo content. It’s content you CAN do solo if you want. But right now the recommended ilvl for it is almost 15-20 above what people were capping out at going into the release of the higher ranks. So to do the highest version for the best gear it’s a lot easier to just do a 5 man group and get them done quickly. But for anyone else who wants to explore that content as a solo player they can, they will get to it at their pace
Have you tried flip-flopping with Brann's role? If you set him to Damage, change him to Heal. If you set him to heal, change him to damage. This sometimes works with my Shadow Priest. Hope it helps!😊
I really dislike the fact that the loot of delves is way lower than the required/recommended ilvl. How is this a good idea? (I finished the delve season boss already so don't come at me with "git gud") But its just sooo slooooow as shadow priest.

Tier 8 delves are not that easy. I was getting hit for over a million damage just from basic melee hits

Solo content shouldn't require a group
@satyrsak it's not strictly a solo content. But yeah, it can be tuned down a bit for solo runs.
It is content you can solo. That said, in order to do an 8 you should have put in some effort on your gear. I stomped it but my gear was 589

My priest struggles with T5, and I can't get anyone to group with me >.> You'd think offering to heal would bring SOMEone in, but nooooo.
Have done tier 10 on my 592 IL Destro Lock. Much easier than my melee classes. Even my 604 Prot Paladin has it harder than the Lock.
I've also been having the worst time soloing bountiful delves. Everything hits like a truck at tier 8+

Having a tank for T8 delves makes things soooo much smoother/easier, man. Beware the casters. Especially in groups. They pack a wallop!

Worth mentioning you can VIEW the items in the vault without having to chose them, and come back later to pick it.

ive yet to see the screen at 0:34 when i go the weekly vendors there is no choices. and I dont use addons. So where do you see this?
They changed it. There are quests in the same location now. I think they had to fix something
That screen was for week one when we had a choice. Week two was to open the archives, and this week is just world quests. I bet the weekly rotates for a few weeks then it goes back to us choosing.

Actually tier 8 delves drop Runed Harbinger Crests, so it's not the same as tier 7.

@@brandonwalker5011 because new players are gonna be overwhelmed af. Confusing new players too much with a shitton of pretty pointless gearing systems and currencies i'd say its one of the quickest ways of losing new or old returning players
@@Azrezel How is it overwhelming? You have solo gearing (delves), small group gearing (M+) and large group gearing (raid).
Sorry Mike, keybinds are only as good as the player that uses them, if you don't understand your abilities synergies, you'll still fall behind others.
Why would you need a macro to leave the delve when you can just right click your portrait and click Leave Delve?
In terms of "re-crafting" can you have a puece made using a spatk but then upgrade it later wuth a crest when you have one? Or would u need another spark to remake the whole thing
You can add the enchanted crest on a recraft later, you're safe to use the spark
You only ever need one spark for one piece. It will never tell you to put another spark for recrafting.
And yes what you're saying works like that. If you want to upgrade it in a few days, just put it on recraft with a crest and it's done. (Normal mats are required)
Torghast 2.0 == Delves, technically not obligatory but if you want to get gear....well it kinda is xD shady Bliz.

Doing higher then t8 will eventually unlock 616 hero gear in your vault.

i dont like the reset mechanics of the vault. i'm pretty new to the game and did a lot of dungeons and delves but didnt know about the vault. now it all reset and my progress from the last week is lost. :(
I really hope they don't nerf high teir delves because it's the only content that's vaguely challenging and yes I'm doing them solo.

I totally agree! Since vanilla I did every prof every expansion. I stopped that in dragonflight. It was way too complicated and my attention span too short to figure it out . I loved profs before 😭
Agree...It's just so over the top. I've literally given up on crafting professions due to how overwhelming it is.
Yeah the new crafting system is not it.
Disagree, I've always been a fan of crafting but ever since doing the same things since 4ever makes every profession boring as he'll. The way it is now give a lot more of flavor to it and makes it more difficult and slow-paced, making it a lot more meaningful. It's good to see professions being a part of the character as much as your class skills are for a change.
Another way of saying " I dont care about crafting being interesting, its a means to an end to me" - crafting was redesigned to - be - interesting in its own right

This didn’t age well. Blizz hotfix’d delves to the point you need to out gear the tier to do them in group and solo for most specs. The feature is effectively dead.
I was doing a lvl 8 Delve. All good... got to a room where waves of spiders spawns and you gotta survive them. I had done that on my hunter previously, and i thought i may be able to survive it on my warlock too (both ilvl 588)
At the start of the waves the secret boss Zerkvir spawned....and killed me of course.... I got an achievement for being killed woohoo... and he left loot after he despawned wtf... Still kinda shitty

This is nothing compared to past expansions. The time investment is significantly lower and because it's over a week, there isn't an issue with it being DAILIES. That used to absolutely suck, missing dailies and losing progress.
Optional,not SL type of content where basicslly everything was mandatory or ull lose a lot.But ye wow playerbase now complains when there is bunch of stuff to do

I like the idea of delves, but it's terribly scaled. It should not be 10x easier as a group, because then it's really just another dungeon format. If you're a solo healer, maybe Brann should do a lot more damage to balance it? If you're a solo dps, maybe Brann should be able to heal a lot more? They say it's designed for solo content, but in reality? Not so much

I've never heard of warcraft logs before and looking through it kinda made me sick to my stomach. The idea of judging people based on data collected about them that they might not even be aware of is horrifically dystopian. I once had some rando bullying me about not even showing up on the "parse" and now I know what they were talking about. Screw all that and I find it sickening to see someone advising others to use these tools to judge people. I will never play WoW endgame again. It's apparent that when you get to that level of the game it isn't even about having fun anymore.
So, higher tier delves released as a failure. It was supposed to be solo content, but they're so overtuned you're better off making a group and breezing through it. Some specs and classes can definitely solo, I managed to solo some as ret 585 ilvl, but there are some like waterworks that are borderline impossible, especially the last boss (Waxface)
That doesn't really make sense since Blizzard even recommends 600+ ilevel for T8 delves. Just because people are doing it in worse gear doesn't mean it's overtuned.
T8 says 610+ which if you have it's not borderline impossible.

I'm loving Delves. They're really incredible for scratching the wow gameplay itch with some strong rewards. Kinda wish I didn't have to do get keys for bountiful but I guess it gets you out into the world.
Some things do feel a bit overtuned at times but that's probably because I'm doing 8s at sub 580
So they made solo content (delves) that is basically designed to do as a group because solo it's insanely hard/impossible. GG Blizzard.
I think for solo the intention is that they want you to progress through the tiers over the next few weeks as you gear, not rush to 8 lol
If you want solo content thats one button while you watch RUclips go do world quests. People like you will never be happy though

@@CosmicClericthey were never only solo content. It’s content you CAN do solo if you want. But right now the recommended ilvl for it is almost 15-20 above what people were capping out at going into the release of the higher ranks. So to do the highest version for the best gear it’s a lot easier to just do a 5 man group and get them done quickly. But for anyone else who wants to explore that content as a solo player they can, they will get to it at their pace

Have you tried flip-flopping with Brann's role? If you set him to Damage, change him to Heal. If you set him to heal, change him to damage. This sometimes works with my Shadow Priest. Hope it helps!😊
Maybe you just need a bit more gear or different spec/ build? I'm also wl main and looking forward to trying the higher delves 👍🏻
Try to get some gear from crafting, or other means. Dont forget Tier 8 bountiful is designed for 600+ ilvl. With a bit of gear it gets much easier.
