    Haha that’s funny. In the group of 30 or so machines I ride with it’s always the RZR’s that make it easy and the Can Ams get stuck or struggle with a hill or mudhole.

    I love Polaris, Ive owned a few, they are great bikes, the maverick is 99% different than the commander. totally different suspension, today was the first time I had mine in the rocks, no problems, if I had one complaint it would be that it almost makes to much power at times in sport mode. it can get away from you real fast. we rode in a limestone quarry today, not one problem.

    I'm not a huge fan of the 4 seater side by sides but you can definitely tell in this video that the longer wheelbase helps them walk through and out of the ruts

    • @AdrenalineJunkieProd
      @AdrenalineJunkieProd  7 лет назад

      Ya JACjeeper, I agree. Steep descents are also a huge advantage of the longer wheelbase. The 2 seaters can't go down ledges as steep as the 4 seaters. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Ya, we noticed that too, its as if the belt exhaust is even lower then on the 900. We rode some deep water this past weekend and the 1000s did fine, no slipping belts. Haven't had the cover off though to see if anything got in.

    Did anyone else realize that this is not what the XP 900 and XP 1000 were intended for? Polaris said both of these were built to take on the dunes/desert terrains. The trail RZR was the 800 series. They all did good, the Can-Am included.

    • @AdrenalineJunkieProd
      @AdrenalineJunkieProd  10 лет назад +2

      I beg to differ. A few of us have upgraded from XP 800s to XP 900s and now to the XP1000s. The 900XP has proven itself to be a solid all around machine no matter what you throw at it and I believe most will agree with my statement. The 1000XP will most likely prove a similar point.
      I believe Polaris provides consumers with a solid all around platform which is meant to be used as is or individualized to suit specific genre's of riding. A Mudder will build a different RZR than a Duner or a Trail Rider. They can be built to suit any purpose.
      That is of course my opinion.

    I live the idea of a RZR 570 trail LE for my wife and son . That's perfect for them . They are used to doubling up on a Honda recon. I want a big . Bad. Beast. Either a can am Mav or rzr xp900. Still trying to decide

    The xp1000 has been tested by UTV Underground and ATV/UTV Magazine and the XP won in most instances. Polaris made a damn beast. I don't mind Can-Am im not one of those polaris fan boys but I personally would take the XP any time any day.

    how many 50" wide trails do you run down, I would suspect not many. ive not found a trail yet that my mav at 64" couldn't get down. I hardly ever see any 50" rzrs that have not been modified in some way to be wider.

    they are both equally reliable and capable for that matter, either one is a great choice. they all have some issues. there are vids of both beating each other, the can am does better on dirt where as the Polaris does beat it on the pavement, I own the mav, and know that the suspension on it is amazing it soaks up whoops and rough spots, I have a raptor 660 that cannot keep up with it with a very experienced rider. there is not 9K dollars worth of difference. I don't ride mine on pavement much.

    The X xc version of the Mav is 60". So its still wider than the Commander, and 10" wider than a base model RZR. That doesn't do much for 50" wide trails.

    i love can am don't get me wrong it has out beat all other side x sides but i seen a drag race of the maverick against the 2014 1000 xp and the Polaris did beat it. I wanna know which one is more reliable.

    your right that they've been around since '08, and your once again almost correct in that can am is almost the last major manufacturer to come out with a sxs, and BOTH of them have put Polaris on its heels, so much so that they had to redesign its whole rzr platform to compete. I didn't say that there aren't Polaris's out there or that they weren't good bikes, but yall act like can am is some cut rate bike, when in fact they are Polaris's direct competition.

    I haven't been in a Maverick yet, but from the other Can-Ams that I've driven- I have 3 complaints on them- Gear whine, too much body roll and their Visco-lock sucks in rocks. They have good power, apparently the SS2 frame issues are fixed and I haven't heard about the 1000 still having water pump problems.
    They're good, but I like Polaris better.

    I think your wrong, there hasn't been another choice, but now there is. the rhino, teryx and big red are utility bikes, the rzr has been the only choice for a true sport sxs, that has changed, can am for 2014 has made a narrow version of the mav for real tight trails, just like the 50" rzr.

    your right they have been tested against one another, hell they've even been raced in a four hour race against each other, when they are on the PAVEMENT the xp wins the drag race, when they are in the dirt or on trails the xp gets spanked. just know this, that the mav is the first sport utv can am has made, Polaris has been doing it since 08, id say Polaris is gonna have a hard time keeping up, especially if its gonna cost 25k for the rzr to compete with the 17k mav. just sayin.

    yeah, can am bikes arent worth shit, that's why their sales are dominating the market, why is Polaris having to compete with them for their market share if the can am is junk? your arguments are stupid, youll invest in axles, trust me. do you ride anywhere other than your back yard? check out the atx parks. can ams everywhere. and running, imagine that. there are rzr's too they are just dwindling in numbers.
