The SxS race at Hog Wild was short and sweet, but had the potential for major air and major breakage. Some racers managed to get both! This is the full length race from Saturday at Hog Wild - 2/23/2013 - Superlift ORV - Hot Springs, Ark.

Given your experiences, what SxS would you say is the more durable/reliable one, the polaris or the can-am?
Are these basically stock RZRs? If not what kind of mods are usually added on?

I've only seen a couple of mavericks but every one that I've been around has had the same "grinding" problem come up like the one at 8:36. obviously can am, polaris, and arctic cat still need people to put thier machines through REAL tests. great vid man

Yo Nathan, I have a rzr 800s and been trail riding and mudding for over 2000 miles without one issue...these guys are prolly working the crap out of these machines ALL the time. I would NEVER take a jeep over my RZR! Best 10k ive spent in a while!!

They seem like scooters of the off road world. They're cheap, and easier to operate. They're pretty awesome though, I want one.

the xp 1000 has some beefy axles on them compared to any UTV I have seen.
its a sad sight to see just how ez these seem to break,, and for the cost of a new jeep i think the jeep would hold up much better to be honest,,, these utv's sure look fun though,, just thought they were better built given the extreme price tag on them

One thing's for sure- they have a ladder out there.
A couple sounded like they had turbos, some, like the one who broke on the first drop, had aftermarket suspensions, and there were a few aftermarket cages, other than the turbos they are all easy bolt on's from what I can see.

i've had both and both as about the same as far as reliable. i like the rzr more bc of the awd. can-am uses a 3wd crap. i have a 2012 commander for sale if you're interested. live in the memphis area.

Netzah Shem-Tov sincerely you are correct, if I had the money I would love to own one. I often drive by powersports dealerships and see these amazing atv's. If I won the lottery I would buy one. It just seems to me you could build one for less than what they sell for. I don't watch videos about quads so ..... sorry for being a douche

There is no way you could build one for less than what they are selling them for. Besides they aren't all that expensive. 20k for a quality off road vehicle is nothing. You have to pay to play.
walker newhouse, I do regret my negative comment about side by sides, I also took a moment to check out your you tube channel. Those are all very cool R/C cars you have! When you get older what kind of real car do you want? Also children shouldn't swear, words like D%$# and F@# are naughty and if your mommy sees you using them she'll probably ground you from your toy trucks. Stay in school little buddy and I'm sorry if my side by side comment hurt your feelings. I love the new RZR!

its not even that, when you jump anything 10 ft in the air and land on smaller tires i wouldn't expect it to last, you have to not beat on them to have them for a while
What are you talking about. The maverick has 20 more hp and weighs less so no shit. I was talking about reliability. Can-ams visco lock sucks, especially when you run bigger tires. Wish I would've bought the 900xp instead of my commander. Also, the maverick wasn't out when I bought mine
I don't know where your looking but there half the cost if that of a new jeep and if you jump a jeep like that it WILL brake believe me I know, we have done it before. Besides only one broke...

the atv's are a whole lot better built than the utv.s for the atv's they have a block of steel and call it a block of steel on utv's they bend up some sheet metal into a square shape and call it a block of steel.
