Looks like you're a good mechanic man. I'm getting a slight rattle when starting the car but it goes away on its own. A couple of times the rattle was slightly loud but stopped as soon as I put it in drive from park. I'm thinking it may be the onset of this. I'm hoping to get a few more months out of it before having to do anything and then just trading it in or selling it.
Thank you! And rattles on startup are kinda hard to solve. It could be a cheap oil filter, crappy oil, valve train noise, piston slap, timing belt tensioner, or any other host of issues. Trade it in for an Si!!

How do I reuse the tensioner
You really shouldn’t… they are only designed to last as long as the timing belt. If that sucker lets loose, your belt will slip off and your valves Will hit your pistons and you’ll need a new motor.
Guys, I’m so upset. I got hit by a drunk driver and he completely fucked my back body up!!! HOW DO I SAVE THIS CIVIC???
Oh man… we are so sorry to hear that! Honestly, take the insurance money, and buy another civic and just transfer your mods! Or maybe if you get a little extra from insurance, buy an si from the same year range!
