It is commonly thought that dropper posts are only helpful on steep and very technical terrain but it is not so. They are also not just there so that you can hide behind your rear axle without obstruction!

Yeah...... I like to drop the saddle during climbs and raise it up fully during downhill and jumps, especially the large jumps! It makes it exciting! If you want it to get more exciting, then take the saddle off the post! It'll secure you more!!!
