  • Welcome to episode 4 of Stupid Simple Bike Chat!
#SSBC is exactly as it sounds. I am more of an enduro bro, who cares more about riding my bike, than tinkering with my bike. My friend Matt, from Bootleggers Bikes in Jeffersonville, Vermont is definitely more of an engineer, who loves to tinker. Together, we are going to break down complicated bike subjects into a simple chat that will help you learn more and enhance your riding. Every episode will be a new and exciting subject, and there are no limits to what we can discuss.
On this episode, we talk all things dropper posts. Dropper post are arguably one of the best things to happen to a bikes in the last 10 years, so get on board or get left behind!
If you have any added information or insights on a subject, want to shred our opinions or facts, or any suggestions for future videos, don't hesitate to comment below and share. We want this to be a community discussion and welcome all perspectives!

Back in the day, back in my day we didn't even have suspension. Amazing the difference from 1984 to what bikes are now.

I've got an aventon ramblas, I'm an old guy and don't do much schredding these days, I want to completely remove the dropper and cable and go with a suspesion seat post, is that possible w/o too much hassle? Thanks

I haven't had a bike for quite some years now, some of these new features are awesome! This is one I definitely want as with the last bike I had I kept the seat down all day (and my knees grew strong AF, yes xD)

I'm running one of the cheapest things you can get.. Zoom Tequila... and after 2.5 years, still going strong (though I did have to clean up the activator pin at the top as it was sticking).

Thank you, helpful video. How many mm of travel do you have? I'm 6' 3" and have a dropper with 150mm on my XL trail bike but am considering getting a dropper with 200mm.
