Thank you for the great narration and stats / trivia. I just love the 963... Only got a cheap Bburago model for now. Will check out the 1:16 review maybe it will get on next year's wishlist
They are great models no matter what scale or manufacturer. Wait until after Christmas when retailers such as Toronto Motorsports have great sales. If I can help in any other war feel free to reach out to: markzebr@gmail.com.
@@markzebr6463 In Germany CK Model cars is the place where I get my models. I have a 917 K from the Porsche museum (sadly the 963 was not shown there at the time) and a Ford GT40 both in 1:43 scale. I also saw that there are 963 1/64 models on the market for a few bucks. They have the 2023 Le mans livery on them but I have not found a video of them so far. Next on my list would be Grello 911 and Rexy 911 GT3 or RSR depending on year / championship.
@@Gerodon I suspect that you are German...how cool. I would love to visit the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart someday. When I was at the NA Porsche HQ in Atlanta back in October, their selection of Dealer Editions was thin as hell. You would suspect that they would keep making more as older models sell out. The 1/64 models are great and inexpensive, I did a video on them. I have the "Rexy" IMSA Porsche GT3. Hot wheels made a million of terrible models in 1/64, I wouldn't touch them. I have seen the Hot Wheels "RoxY" Porsche, a chase car, for well over 150.00 USD and still going...What idiots. The Spark and Sparky Porsche 911 GT3 R are replicas of the Le Mans entry. AO racing never had a Porsche 911 RSR as they only came out with Rexy at Sebring 2023, I was there.
@@markzebr6463 You assumed correctly :) True AO never had an RSR I forgot that Project 1 -AO was running Rexy at le mans in 2023 as an RSR. Spark and IXO both made models of that car. I was lucky to see the 50 years of the Porsche 917 exhibition when I was there in 2022 and saw the first 917, the Pig and many others. Really cool were the 919 and 919 tribute both uncleaned with dirt and rocks still in the diffuser. If you are in Stuttgard someday be sure to check out the Mercedes Museum as well. It had far more cars and in my opinion a better concept of showing the different years of automobiles. The Porsche Museum shop was alright in terms of selection but there were a lot of "standard" cars and only a few Race Car models
We share a desire for the Mustang Sampling Proton 963. I think it is by far the best looking of the bunch. Have the Jota in 1:43 and this video convinced me i need more.
I love the white and green Proton 963 and can't wait for Spark to produce it, you know they will. My favorite however is the Hertz. There was the "Goodbye" Porsche 911 RSR from the last race of the WEC 2022 season. They only made 2022 cars of both the #91 and #92 car. My favorite Porsche ever. It wasn't available at my local Porsche dealer. Daily, I looked to see when Spark would make it and a year later, they did. Still available from Porsche Design for 95.00 USD plus shipping (from Atlanta). Check out my fantastic video on it. Spark also made the IMSA Porsche 911 RSR "Thank You" edition. This one is still widely available on Ebay. Also have a video on that.
My video of the "Good Bye" edition was called" A legacy from livery. An excellent video of both cars. It can also b found through the Porsche 911 RSR playlist.

A bit odd the photos are going a different direction to the cars in the box. Good catch on that. Okay so i learned a new term.. Pitot Tube? Is that the big aerial on top of the car? Never heard that term so that was cool to learn. What does it do? Again thanks for the mention I need to put out my follow up on the 963 LeMans version. Will check out your review first so it is not to much overlap. I have a concept I want to try on it related to the livery but will see if your video already covers that first.
You would be correct about the pitot tube. It is a devise that measures air speed going through its opening. Almost every big budget team in F1 and in Sports car racing that have the engineers and, equipment to make use of it. As GPS is not reliable at high speeds, teams use this. I also believe that they can be used to determine wind velocity as well, an important tool particularly in long distance racing when direction and speed of wind change over time. This is yet another innovation that racing has made use from the aerospace industry as every airliner make use of them.
