@@TheRealAbraxas eh I would say 75% athleticism and 25% skill. As dunked over the last few years the height I have to get to finish the dunk is a lot lower especially with two hands. It’s a 50/50 because if you have bounce to get your head up there doesn’t mean it will go in because when I used to dunk on low rim in the past it was technique it would hit the backboard and go in or it would go in and out constantly it all about technique so it is 50/50 they’re both equally important.

Yezzir! Love the content. I'm 36, former ball player, personal trainer now and can still dunk. But, I'm trying to get that old bounce back. Gotta get the vert code. The results speak for themselves; this vert training is legit.
I would have loved this kind of training and advancement to get to finally being able to dunk the basketball when I was playing. I was so close but never fully got there on my own.

Since you only had 8 weeks and he was already quite athletic, what's the idea behind adding core/upper body exercises? Naively it seems like the most efficient way would've been to just focus on legs/plyo, is core a necessary part even if it's only an 8 week program?
Hey Paul, what do you think that 7inches came from? Was it technique? Was it that increase in explosive strength? Was it the tendon elasticity component? Because 7 inches in 8 weeks is ridiculous!
@@PTCPerformance He gained 6 inches from his standing vert alone. The increase came from shear power and the strength he built from the training, because jumping technique has little influence on standing verts. He mentions it at 9:49.

No matter how much dunking skill you have you will never be able to dunk on 10 feet if you have no athleticism
