The engineering and miniaturization of this thing is just impressive
Dude
Look up the moto z projector
this is nothing some mobile phones have laser projectors built in
Not yet
@@M_a_r_ke That was ages ago it was called galaxy beam
It's important for people to understand what they're getting into with the Capsule 3. It's portable first, and a projector second. For $800 you can get a 1080p non-portable projector with 10x the brightness of the Capsule 3. The portability of the Capsule 3 isn't just a "nice to have" feature, it's the main and basically only feature.
That's good to know! Thanks.
So it is not a good projektor for 800$
Yep, you're right! I bought a Capsule II for $400 and mounted it in the bedroom ceiling though.
For $400, the size, speakers and Android TV it's hard to beat. I did not want a big noisy projector in there, just for watching some TV.
An actual TV would and not fit and destroy the look of the whole room.
And most projectors for $400 are loud, big, no speakers and no built in Android TV.
Basically I wanted something almost invisible and cheap.
@@Very_Grumpy_Cat It's one of the best PORTABLE projectors.
The fact that it uses a laser is also a "feature "
Its a super high power blue (450nm) laser diode firing into a spinning diffuse disk that has three sections: a transparent one to leave blue light through and two sections coated with a red and green luminophore (substance that flouresces under blue light). the uneven distribution of those sections is due to the different efficiencies, especially of the green conversion.
this gives you somewhere around 50-70% efficiency producing the colors, while a standard white led with filter setup gives you about 30% at best.
Awesome! Good to know!
Looks like a NUBM08 can, 455nm
Yes, looks like phosphorus based coating that fluoresces into different colour when hit with blue light at a specific wavelength. I would have preferred a more professional setup with 3 separate laser diodes, but this would have probably required prisms and extra drivers adding more bulk probably.
The title succeed in bringing me here, well done Zack 😭👍🏾

That's not a teardown, that's a rearjerker destruction xD
Glad to see that your sponsored videos are as honest as your reviews !
This was one of the very few times I’ve been sad to see a device taken apart by you. What a great projector. Thanks for the details!
Thanks for your inspection and information. It does look like a solid build. And good quality projection.
That "warranty ship sailed long ago" 🤣😆😄😁
That was quite the borderline violent tear down. A testament to a well built little device I should say.
@U.S Central what makes them highly illegal? I think I've seen them on many devices in my 65 years, I live in NY. Just curious.
9:14 - I made it that far! :) My current favorite movie is Entrapment - Also loving the literal tear down and tear apart, this is how I do things if I don't care. Thank you for taking the time to document and share.
I don't think I have ever seen Zac brute force anything. it was interesting to see you basically just destroy something because the copany was sneaky with their hiding screws . that drives me nutty lol
He's done that quite a few times, actually.
Steel is steel, it can cut. Sorry for the cuts on thumbs. For that, you deserve a thumbs up.
It was way to expensive for me😂. But it is so satisfying watching you ripping it apart! The learning curve in your videos is steep but so much more valuable than what school is to me
what
@@lordzuzu6437 I learn everything by doing. Have problems when teachers are explaining using the blackboard to explain what they want us to do. "Monkey see, monkey do" is the way I learn. I actually learned how to fix my own phone just by watching Mr. Jerry
yea i was really expecting a £300-500 price tag. but £800 jesus
@@blazez4fun he doesn't explain how or why the pieces do what they do. You can learn that in school though
@@blazez4fun Mr. Zack*
definitely one of the gadgets of all time
Just one of the gadgets of all time. One.
Thanks for tearing and showing us on the insides Zack. 😁
“Extenuating circumstances” has got to be the best way to say I absolutely destroyed it 😂
Ads really have evolved, imagine making a 9 minute ad a few years ago, now people enjoy watching it
Cool gadget, will be fun to see how small projectors with decent quality in the future will be.
idk if you took the battery and speaker aspect away it's already pretty dang small lol
It uses a blue laser which excites something (phosphors or nanospheres) to produce the light that gets projected. That is a really cool trick and it will allow better colors as better nanospheres are developed. It also makes it more efficient because you only need one laser power supply and one modulation control. Very slick design.
I was wondering what kind of laser, thanks for the info.
Who needs a favorite movie when you have Jerry doing teardowns like this.
Thank you. I love your tough lesson making it to the video.
the last starfighter. I love taking stuff apart and it will not fit back together. Zack, I got my Coin. it's really cool you should have put numbers on them. Also, the photo of you guys is really nice. I've been taking photos since I was about 13 & I was developing and printing my B&W photos by myself. My Dad was a Technical Sergeant (2nd Grade) in the Signal Corps as a Staff Photographer Station in Stuttgart, Germany at Allied Command. he took photos of Ike, Bradly, and Patton and they also photoed all the destruction around Germany & Poland. Also, my Dad met our Mom there. she was a Supervisor for all the women telephone operators at Allied Command. there were about 75 operators on duty each shift. they got married there and she made her dress from an out-of-spec parachute (after a certain number of jumps they cannot use them anymore). She was given away by a Full Bird Colonel because her father was in Poland.
Gotta have a huge pocket to fit something of that size 😂
On Any Sunday for me , an early seventy's motorcycle documentary with lot of heart and humor . Thanks again Jerry .
OMG Jerry, this one had me in stitches!
€900 😳
Man i thought i was about to impulse buy one but this takes some deliberation 😂
Oof was thinking of getting capsule 1 or 2 300 and 600 but 900 :(
a 75 inch tv also costs the same, a little less but this one is portable
Everyone else: "That laser projector has amazing tec! I wanna buy one!"
Me: Country Time Blueberry Lemonade is by far one of my favorite juices! I usually buy the bottles whenever I visit my local Walmarts.😆
I love how you tear it down and show the engineering and inside tech
Absolute Chaos. Love it.
The difference between this laser projector and the black view phone projector is also that the black view works more like a CRT tv in that each pixel is an individual laser dot that’s scanning across really quickly to make an image. So if you took a fast enough picture, you would only see one pixel illuminated, and the rest of the image would be black. The laser projector in this video works completely differently in that it is basically the same as any other DLP projector, but the light source is a laser.
We see some scratches and deeper grooves on Jerry's right thumb. He's like a lil child too inquisitive and more interested about the internals than the complete working package.
Tis but a scratch.
@@JerryRigEverything zack, are those level 6 scratches or level 7?
SLC Punk, it’s an oldie but a favorite. The tear down didn’t go as planned but super cool to see how it was all packed inside :).
That vivid color of the laser would fit the movie, "Pitch Black" staring Vin Diesel
Nice video. I built a laser tv back in the 90’s with a laser from an hp laser printer, the hard part was producing the vertical sweep. How does this laser produce the vertical sweep?
Love to support your Not a wheelchair and all your efforts. All your video content is quite interesting and entertaining. I salute you! In my mind I think of you as a friend. Go Zack!
Thank you friend!
Love the compact size and quality look of the build. Perfect for if and when I buy a Van or camper to travel and live in for a year or two and that way I still get to have a large screen tv without the space and weight of a large screen tv. Just a pull down screen.
Jerry: "Now we know for next time."
Nebula: "NEXT TIME?!?"
Damn this hurt to watch since I’ve been looking to buy it, just out of my budget for now! Cool the sit what goes into making these👍🏽🙌🏽 Thanks!
Well, this is truly a "teardown" holy smokes. Great review still and very informative as always.
I truly love the build, and how Jerry cracked the whole thing up,I felt my heart limped ❤
His name is Zack, not Jerry. 😂
Total carnage! Fascinating teardown.
Interesting to see the took DLP technology and use a laser as a light source.
Amazing video as always, Zach! The tech in these is just amazing.
I honestly always thought his name was Jerry
This is is the most brutal tear down this year!!
I am just impressed by how they made this so small
Always better than expected, this man is a great man
jerry never disappointed me where else makes me more excited when there is any teardown of any gadget, especially something like this...
great thanks for your jerry rig knifes 😘👍
As much as I love these videos, and really love our advancing tech, I'm ever so grateful that our tech, as of yet, is not self-aware. Can you imagine the sheer horror of a self-aware device being unboxed and the first person it sees is Zach? Even if Zach didn't tear it down, I doubt that the AI would ever recover. It'd be in therapy for the rest of its days.
Thanks again for another great teardown video, you monster...er...master disassembler.
You must have read that somewhere and now did everything you could to be the first one to post it? Did you even watch the video before you posted this?
@@realemonful Um, maybe you should go back to bed, and try getting out on the other side.
@@OGSontar 🤣Did I hit the nail right on the head?
This is why we got Terminator.
You fully cracked me up. Cracking that up.
JEEBUS KEERISTE JERRY! 🤣
'The Jerry Laser Projector Massacre"
Zack: Yours probably has a projected lifespan of thirty thousand hours.
Also Zack: Mine's lifespan was about 30 minutes before running into some ✨ *extenuating circumstances* ✨
What's your point?
I’ve thought for a while that small projectors on phones could be a great idea. Obviously poor quality to start with but quickly upgrading along with the other gadgets on our phones like cameras etc. Imagine the potential though, being able to use it as a bigger screen or portable monitor, especially if able to connect it to a computer or laptop!
well in 2013-ish i had a samsung beam that had a projector it wasnt the best projector but also not the worst ,the biggest problem was the battery drain of it so i always had a charging cable and an replacemant battery with me ......but sadly it was later abandoned and there arent many projector phones now it they even are any
Awesome Jerry, u really make the videos fun too watch...👍🏽
The gentle voice is so nice 🥰
I am sure they were completely surprised they sponsored a JerryRig video, sent the device, and the video featured a teardown.
Almost as surprising as scratches at level 6, with deeper grooves at level 7.
Jerry, most of your teardowns are difficult to watch... This one was painful! But nevertheless, enjoyable and enlightening. 👍
It is a bit uncomfortable to see all the waste isn't it, I try to think about all the people who will not tear one down now that there's a video doing it for them.
@@Voltaic_Fire Indeed, as the fan will need replacing at some time in the not too distant future, let's hope it is user-serviceable with the knowledge.
the build quality is very solid
omg! what an impressive piece of tech 🤯
to blend in with your accolade, you should do a mohs' hardness test on the screen onto which you're projecting. And see where you'll get scratches and deeper grooves.
Thank you so much zack I was looking for this device
From very long time
Love your videos, keep it up king ❤🙌🏻
Greatest!
Thanks for the review and a little bit of specifications.
We keep watching and waiting for the new gadgets and their reviews.

Super cool presentation.

good that jerry always bruteforces into something so we dont have to
Great Video Jerry .
Amazing video bro
Such a strong @WhatsInside vibe. 😂

Awesome video.
Great video ❤. Sorry for the injury 😢
Love Your Videos Jerry . Great Video Jerry .
His name is Zack 😉
Been watching alot of "top gun maverick " I like the original and maverick did it justice not alot of ppl think the same but I did thoroughly enjoy it
That is a satisfying amount of organized chaos at the end.
I build an off grid camper a couple years ago - been living in it ever since.. bought one of these instead of a tv. Only uses 2-3amps at 12V. Was a pretty damn great purchase
Perfect timing. I was just looking into this model. Now I just need your review of the Anker Powerhouse 767 and maybe compare size and specs to the 757.
Wow, its solid.
I have watched your videos and enjoyed the teardowns ,but i must say i am hurt with the way this one went.i guess its literal “tear down” !!
Awesome video. One of the best, and unique channel on RUclips. 📽️👏
Very interesting and cool tech. Awesome that they provided you a unit to review. Hopefully next time they'll know to also provide some disassembly instructions 😆
I have the original Nebula Capsule! I didn't knew they released the third one!
I'm an the intro and already loving the prospects!
Favorite video about the Nebula 3 in a sea of sponsored videos out there. A lot of power in a small package, was surprised to see how small the actual laser source is, very interesting. Now we know to look more for hidden screws hehe
Finally teardown in my style
I've recently purchased a Samsung Freestyle and optional battery which makes it portable and its been my favourite piece of tech in years, connected to my steam deck or surface pro with game pass its epic, its nice to see other options too, and tbf this Nebula seems more portable still 🙌
Wow, you just killed it......OMG $800.00 DOWN THE DRAIN! But you'll make more off this video, probably, to buy 100 of these little amazing wireless projectors/blue tooth speakers.
If you decide to buy that many & gifting them to wonderful people, as myself, to say Thanks for watching my tear down videos, especially how I destroyed this amazing projector, I would love to have one....... lol.....
Thanks Zac for keeping it real. Have a wonderful day, God bless,
Chris from Missouri
This must be one of the most damaging teardown, loved it :D "That ship has sailed a long time ago"
I have on of these nebulas they are great for outdoor movie nights ❤
I think your favorites change as you get older and change but, ultimate classic, would probably be The Goonies! 😂
TECH101 with Zack would really be a cool series.
Amazing technology👌
Amazing
a bleeding teardown! :D This was brutal to watch :D
Wow ..liked it.
I like this vid. This was a messy one. Good insight.
Amazing to see him wracking every piece of technology he comes close by! I still love Fight Club!
