omfg man the amount of people that invaded me to preceed to one shot back stab me when im facing the opposite direction. THE PAIN. I went into offline mode tbh.
Aight im gonna be that guy: first off, your opening move was to retreat with your shield up. This signals to the invader that 1) you are intimidated by the encounter 2) you reflexively guard with your shield even when you're at a safe distance. Although the Havel's armour and Zweihander would initially signal otherwise, the invader now knows that you're not a pro (who would've immediately attacked him or, if guarding with shield, continued forwards to either counterbackstab or mess with their relative positioning). Next you stayed locked on while he ran in free-mode, a sure sign that he wants to backstab you and you're gonna get backstabbed. A pro would've locked off and turned around at a sharp angle towards the imminent trajectory of the invader (the back) to completely nullify the impending violation (the stab), possibly counterattacking because again, if a pro sees an unarmoured (except for a dank helmet) sweaty invader walking right past him he will instantly hit R1 like a venus fly trap. If your uninfused flyswatter was at least upgraded properly, a single swat probably would've ended him. On that topic, your HP wasn't very prepared to deal with the upcoming boss battle even in BiS armour (presumably unupgraded), you were bound to have a hard time with well under 30 vitality. Finally, you actually brought knives to a backstab fight, ofc you were gonna lose. Use that 180° zwei hitbox, you have more range than a katana both in reach and in spread
i was expecting a sprinting power attack i planned to parry i probably should have put the joint i was smoking down instead of playing one handed with my controller in my lap. i have never cared for souls pvp and was just doing a casual playthrough for nostalgia and had relatively little issues with most of the bosses say for a couple i had to repeat a few times to remember how the fights go.
DS2 got the best pvp combat wise but is held back by soul memory. Still best overall. But as FecalMatador said all got shit netcode and from never learns. Not gonna go in to weapons because every souls game got something that is completely degenerate.
There was something really off putting about how he never stopped sprinting at you. It had the same energy as one of those horror games where a png moves at you and kills you on contact.
i did later fairly certain i was going for fifty strength for a shield i wanted to use my stats were weird because i kept changing my mind on how i wanted to play
SKILL ISSUE DETECTED Bro's name is "crit boi" what did you think he was gonna do lmao. Also you play like a bot, it looks like I'm watching a Darkroot Garden NPC POV lol
@Just_Carver Nah I'm just trolling, the backstab hitbox is jank and even if he didn't oneshot you he can stand behind you and parry above your body on the ground and then press R1 to buffer the attack and backstab you on the first available frame😫
I’ll be honest trolling or not there’s people who DO make these arguments as if this shit is winnable for someone who hasn’t chugged 800 hours of pvp content before even playing the game. Thats why invasions just don’t work, they’re playing a fighting game and you’re playing an RPG.
@ i honestly thought i was gonna parry him but i haven't played the first ds game for over a decade forgot how janky it really was. still a wonderfully crafted game regardless of the fact

Ds1 fans be like: the gameplay is 🔥

I like your choice of shield though. Classy

Those chonky footsteps are so iconic
when i saw "crit boi" , understood that u have no chance
straight to the point
People actually said DS1 had better PVP than DS3 🤣
Some say that DS1's pvp is better than DS2's , I don't know what's in their minds if there is any
While true, they all have dogshit pvp due to the horrible netcode.
@@FecalMatador it frustrates me because using poor internet to gain an advantage is essentially cheating but cannot be punished the same way.
I had way more fun with mi FUGS in DS3 than getting backstabbed to death in DS1

Gotta love the Lag-Stab meta of DS1
“Git gud!!” At unplugging my router when I get invaded because it’s a laggy mess? Sure!
That’s why i play offline😂 I don’t run away like that but i still get rocked every time
lol the disrespect at the end
How much vigor?
i did later fairly certain i was going for fifty strength for a shield i wanted to use my stats were weird because i kept changing my mind on how i wanted to play
What I would give to have shitty backstabs once more and the ds1 emotes. Especially the well what is it emote.
Its a lag i think 🤔
Wtf was that
Fat rolling? 0 spacing in remastered. Complains about getting backstabbed? 😂
skill issue

@@jaksn8082 I am very bad it's true I should have just fat rolled at him while he teleported through me and proceeded to one hit me.
