Haha if it’s a long flight would it be considered doing nothing for 95 percent of the flight 😂. Apart from being prepared to take over in the event something bad happens you’re right. There isn’t much to do. But if being a pilot makes you happy I would say it’s a good occupation to have

Since an airplane is technically in flight from the time it lifts off to the time it lands I’m not sure how else I can label it 😂

Beautiful video. Honestly it is really encouraging to see a captain of Afro descent flying in East Asia. Not that I thought there are any limits on such things, I just thought I would be the first 😂 I hope to be in your position far into the future, but first gotta get through ground school.
Just a question, what is the roundish handle in your left hand while you are taxying? Is it related to the rudder pedals in any way
I have been an expat for over half my flying career and without it would have never been able to accomplish such rank in modern widebody fleets at a young age. It’s such a safe and beautiful world so I prefer to be a part of it instead of being told what to believe about others. Sometimes I may feel like Big Bird in a storm trooper line but it’s been the most spiritually satisfying life I could ever have and it fits me personally. As we are all on our own individual divine paths to happiness I suggest if it’s something you’re interested in experiencing to do it as well. Cultural adjustments are a normal part of the process which are the the gems I find in the haystack

I have had the pleasure of experiencing that side of the world, living there for various reasons, and agree that there can be reward in adjusting to a culture that is remarkably different to the one you were raised in. It is often worth listening to the call of adventure inside you if the opportunity presents itself (or you can seek it out). More often than not it is an overwhelmingly positive experience, more so than your fears would have you think. I haven't started my flying career yet so will probably aim to begin that closer to home, but if I can find a way to bridge that career to Asia in the future I would definitely consider it. En general, la posición del piloto en la cabina de un avión no se elige en función de la preferencia de mano. Tradicionalmente, el capitán se sienta en el asiento izquierdo y el primer oficial o copiloto en el asiento derecho

On flight, I find out what the problem! Airplane parking is still taking times for landing and ready and stopping spots.
International airport and local airport are complex now.
Throttle controller is good.
Tail wind over body and side is too slim to closely approaches hard.
Safe zones
I've flown this flight probably more times than I can count but first time seeing it from a Boeing cockpit and not my much more comfortable Airbus

In Vietnam they don’t use seniority. They just throw out what they want and we don’t get any choice. No bidding system nothing. But with a bag full of money can come maybe a couple flights I really want
