The Wasp Zapper Extreme !! 5600 Volts !! [part 2]

- Опубликовано: 8 янв 2016
- Follow up on the wasp nest finding in my previous video from last week, I decided to upgrade the design.
Standard 2 kV MOT with voltage duplexer yields in 5.6 kV DC.
Working better then expected.
Please note ! Wasps are a declared pest in New Zealand as they destroy our native insects like bees and butterflies.
This device needs to be monitored during operation.
21Mar2017 - The Wasp Zapper was placed over the nest entrance at night.
The grid sits at a voltage 5.6 kV DC and Earth plate at mid point.
The Wasp Zapper Extreme device can only be used under direct supervision.
Caution !! High Voltage device
A small modification is pending due to the ± 2.8 KV active grids leaking to the ground through the wooden base. ( see part 3 , to be published over the next 2 days ). an incandescent leakage point is visible at 5:45
Wasp Zapping starts at 4:00 - Наука
As someone who has been attacked (while working aloft on a telephone pole) I find these videos quite satisfying!
wow sad life but yep it is really satisfiying
mark k while working aloof a telephone pole?
You're probably the only one here who has a genuine reason to be angry at wasps and satistied at their being toasted. For the normal dude, they are annoying, but no reason to hate them; they are animals, good grief, and quite sophisticated ones at that.
Ewalds Eiland they're insects not animals. Also they serve no purpose to human beings.
***** some species of wasps are active hunters of spiders or cockroaches
I love when he says, " the wasp are actually exploding. it's fantastic." lol
my favorite part
😂
The great wasp massacre
I read this just as he was saying that lol
I read this while the video was playing and he said it as soon as I finished
"Honey, what's that crackling noise coming from our garden?" "That's the sweet noise of revenge!"
Hell yeah
🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪😁😁😁😁😁🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🖕
Revenge is a dish best served cold :-)
Save the bees, but screw the wasps.
Nemopolymer
Yes, but bees produce honey, which never goes bad/expires. It's our one long-term food source as long as we don't let them go extinct.
Most bees don't make honey though
not in those numbers
Wasps are great predators. They will get rid of your tomato worms etc. That said, I put wasp traps around my house.
@@boiledsheep what the fuck does black people have do to with this?
“The wasps are actually exploding. It’s fantastic” 😂
Lmfao
Need the slow mo guys for this.
Oh fuck yes... that would be kick ass
YES close up slo mo would be bad ass
sorry, RUclips's bitch new censorship rules won't allow "graphic" videos
They wouldn't get involved in this....sadly.
Peter Peter or just put your playback speed to a 1/4 of a second 🤷🏽♂️
All these dislikes due to "cruelty" yet this is probably the most humane way possible to kill an insect. Do people actually think poisoning insects is any more humane than burning, crushing, or electrifying them? Poison generally makes for a slow, painful death.
100 % agreed, insect killer makes the wasps suffer for a long time.
nobody cares... I once drowned one in spit. I know they serve a purpose, I even know full well what it is and where they fit in the eco system. ... still I hate them. I know they are a life form just as I am, yet they sting me when I mean them no harm. so I hate them.
that is probably wrong on the level that it is THE thing that will get me sent straight to hell. but I dont care. I hate them.
How do you know the dislikes are due to "cruelty"? I disliked because i couldn't see the little bitches getting zapped, only random flashes of light.. My point is, stop assuming and step down off your high horse
ease up there coral reefer!.... haddent thought of that option my self, I was thinking peta members or something myself. but my point is, the snowflakes who dont like this (your crowd excepted, I understand you) are people put here for our entrtainment. sort of like video's of people killing wasps.
so enjoy those people, make them cry man!! you saw that part of clerks 2 where whats-his-mane made the one kid so mad he barfed? thats what we are supposed to do with 'those' people right? so ease into it bro.....

A medal that shocks you. He should enjoy the irony.
"The wasps are actually exploding, that's fantastic" I laughed at that... am I going to hell?
No, wasps deserve to die.
All wasps go to hell, like the boiler room of hell, so no
No... They are!
So therapeutic. Thanks. Love the sound of those little monsters frying.
You should sell plans on how to make your own.
"They're actually exploding.. It's fantastic!" he said...
I love it! And yes it is, completely satisfying wish it was longer. I could watch for hours... Great video!
I love the smell of burning wasp in the morning. ;)
BRILLIANT!
"Exploding wasps, beautiful!" 👍 you may be the first human on earth that has uttered those words 👏
But it's oh so true!!!!
But not the first one to feel the meaning of those words.
He ain't the last my friend
I was typing the comment “so satisfying” then you said “very pleasing” and I knew I was watching a man of class
Don’t ya just love it when a man truly enjoys his work??
His hatred for these creatures was born when an army of wasps murdered his family in cold blood. Now he is out for justice.
You have no proof sir you weren't even there
But maybe he was.
How do you like your wasps?
Extra crispy please.
Double dead to 100% disintegration
Hopefully when I'm an old man these will be my kind of hobbies !! PMSL !
Being stung several times this past summer by yellow jackets, I could watch this all day.
Man look at the wasp on 5:05 - 5:06 .It exploded!!!! wow
+Commander Riley Hell yeah they do! Gotta love watching these nasty insects explode.
Ame Nightcore Me too!I hate wasps....
Progressive You are kidding me right?
Progressive Hmmm.I have to say 1 word to you.BOURDAKA
Commander Riley Iwow
this video gives me satisfaction and i don't know why
Spartan le ikr
Because they're a pest and inconvenience at times.
I'm an old surveyor, I get plenty of satisfaction and I DO know why.
its like popping bubble wrap thats why spartan!
James Lecren ewe
Not sure why, but this makes me smile :)
I suggest having the power unit remote from the grid and then it can simply be placed over the nest entrance as a stacked pair of grids. A couple of UV lights would enhance the attraction.
How much $ per kiloWasp XD
+BUNCHofxs LOL, I will meter the usage over a period of time.
+BUNCHofxs No, it spelled KillaWasp hour
+Progressive hahaha
thats funny on so many levels lofl and am still laughing
It's free...................................if you use a tesla coil.
Nice work - would smearing it with jam help attract more "customers"?
"customers" haha
these comments kill me lol
the grill cannot be smeared with jam as it would probably combust due to the very high voltage
He needs to catch a few, uncooked, and smash them underneath the grate, the pheromones will attract the others
wasps attack bee hives and kill all the bees for the honey, and eat the baby bees and grubs for food. A few drops of watered down honey would increase the interest 10 fold by the wasps.
You good sir, have climbed to the pinnacle of science...and tumbled into madness, down the other side. Brilliant BWAHAHA!
"The wasps are actually exploring it's actually fantastic" lol!
EXCELLENT job Ray! Useful, and entertaining at the same time. I applaud you sir.
Hahahaha, this is fantastic. I haven't made it past the device build box yet but I had to give praise to you desiring this so much that you actually finally built a modified contraption and mounted in a special box for the specific purpose. Dude this is wonderful!! Cheers! Ok now I can watch this video 👍
Hands down one of the best videos I came across at 2am.
These are just great, What a service you provide to us folks who consider this entertainment. Stay safe my electro-bro!

You mean double kill, ultra kill and rampage, or are you talking about Dota 2 tutorial?
Well done Ray, excellent improvement on the original design, Mrs Rodalco will be pleased with it! Excellent Wasp explosions when they cross the HV, looking forward to the SloMo action.
Sweet! I needed a smile and this little 6-minute was a pleasant break from work. Blinky blue lights and zapping noises are very satisfying!
After watching paper wasps blown up by M80s and the black powder demise of a nest of yellow jackets. This slow annihilation of the same pest was intellectually stimulating. 😂
You are the best. SO satisfying.

Thank you.
Appears a lot of them are dying from step potential/fields too, like how they enter then just go and do a harlem shake of death :D. Though need more energy! should shake the house everytime one wasp heads off to meet it's maker :D
+Max Bainrot "harlem shake of death' LMAO!
Lmfao amazing+
I could watch this all day. I lit up by a nest of these monsters. They didn’t just sting and take off. I had to pull them off. I was just walking my dog and she got a away for a second, and when I reached down to pick up the leash POW! They got me lol
"Oh hey mark, what you doin' lying in there, having a comfy day? Huh, no response, ill go closer and, ZAAAAP"
There ought to be a Doctor Who's Dalek voice exclaiming "Exterminate!" :-D
This! This is what the world needs more of. Considering global warming resulting in warmer winters, I think you'll need to manufacture more of these "extreme zappers" in the future as we will get way more nasty insects because of this.
Mark Jamieson A one-degree global change is significant because it takes a vast amount of heat to warm all the oceans, atmosphere, and land by that much. In the past, a one to two degree drop was all it took to plunge the Earth into the Little Ice Age. A five-degree drop was enough to bury a large part of North America under a towering mass of ice 20,000 years ago.
SamC94 yo that's a fucking lie
Al Gore says global warming creates global cooling?? He did say this so it's true, right?
This restores my faith in humanity. Well done sir!
This guys was responsible for my neighbor house on fire last weekend! Very smart way to start a backyard fireworks.
5:56 is that an arc jumping to the plant at the bottom just to the right ?
Yes.
Owiko7 no
Did you not put a bleeder resistor?
No, the microwave Caps may have an internal bleeder R.
just curious do you know if photonic induction is making videos?
I award you the best golden charismatic zapper king 2021
I could watch this for hours
wow this is quite wonderful, set up some shielding around it to keep pets away and let it run for hours, that'll solve your problem :D
+Rinoa Super-Genius Yes, I be monitoring it when I pop the wasps, as we have 5 cats and won't have them electrocuted.
don't worry about the cats, they have 9 lives after all
Personally I wouldn't leave it running unattended as it is quite capable of starting a fire.
I built an almost identical zapper like this one but used a variac on the input lines so i could easily control the output as I was trying to educate raccoons to stay out of my kitchen. educating them didn't work, but it was pretty funny watching them leap a foot into the air when they stepped on an energized grid. they are fearless, and will take any risk, even if they know the outcome will be bad, to get food.
Is there a 'cat' frying video in the playlist?
Question: the upper mesh and the floor are at 5.6kv and the mid mesh is ground (correct), meaning if the wasp is in the first or second floor and touches up and down the cap discharge ? Am I correct ?
That was awesome and satisfying!!! Well built too. Thumbs up!
My nature loving side was like: "Oh my god... they explode when they touch it... YOU MONSTER! How could you!?"
My wasp hating side was like: "Whooo! Explode baby, explode! Mwhahahahahaha! That'll teach you to sting me!"
😂😂😂😂
@Kalicrowa Not a horrible way to go though lol pretty much instant
You sound like a bond villain 😂
Wish I had that skill level to build something like that, awesome! Love these clips. Adolph Zappperstein owns it!
i been watching wasp yellow jacket and hornet videos for a week. and you sir are the goat
I got stung by a wasp....then another....and another...then I realized that I was over a wasp nest then I went inside to grab raid then went outside and sprayed the shit out of that nest....got stung an extra 5 times by the fuckers but got rid of the nest. Moral of story go Rambo on the fuckers before they go Rambo on you
Wøłf Chainz lol! i poured meths on a wasps nest once and set it on fire.... they popped then too!
Wøłf Chainz lol. love the comment funny shit.
Would be neat to see a version of something like this put into a clear bucket with a sealed top, and connections for an inlet hose to suck in wasps and an outlet hose for the suction drawn by a shop vac. I'd bet it could do in a greater volume of wasps in a shorter amount of time.
The wasp's might get ejected while their still burning making a fire hazard.
Cool idea though.👍
That was the best video I have seen today. I could have watch that for hours.
You're a mad scientist man! Love it!
Awesome stuff, I've been looking forward to seeing this. Any chance of doing this with your MEGA cap bank? I think the evil little blighters would just vaporise as they approached in mid air lmao
+Green Silver The Mega Cap bank would destroy the grids. These is a compromise between Cap size and minimizing damage to the electrodes. At the moment the results are great, and if some wasp escaped and comes back for seconds, well so it be. The electrode grids are holding up well.
But does it work on Catholics as well?
Works better on atheists 😂
Very effective. You did a great job and it looks like so much fun.
So much fun watching your videos!👍👍👍👍👍!
RODALCO 2 - WASPS 0
They're not wasp they are ground bees we call yellow jackets. They are pretty aggressive little buggers and it's quite satisfying to watch the zapping.
Yellow jackets are wasp my dude.
Having being chased twice as a kid by hives of wasps and stung around 3 billion times I find this vid so pleasing to watch I'm actually enjoying the fact that there is now fewer ginger ass holes flying around
This is exceedingly satisfying!
Why are the wasp drawn to it?
the high voltage electricy fucks with their tiny little minds. it makes them hallucinate and they think that the plate is a wasp strip club filled with slut wasps and they just cant resist trying to stick their wasp boners in it.
You found this out the Hard way?
Insects are drawn to electricity. Nobody really knows why
Alex Martinez I thought he put it over their nest opening in the ground
thise was a shocking video lol
You’re quite the inventor! And you put it to a good purpose!
*This is really satisfying, good job lol.*
Love this guy. He's the savage McGiver. Fuck with him and it's napalm or electrocution, take your pick.
This is absolutely shocking !!!
OG Vision *Ba dum tss *
Get the bug zapper 😂
Seeing this on my television from my cellphone it's fun love it the bugs die 😆 it's their deaths 😆 your pop 😆 you Rock man!
Those buggers are a pest!! Kill them 😆 pop and pop!!
i love your zapper . Great engineering job .
1. Get a Hazmat suit or similar beekeeping suit
2. Seal the outsides with sand and cement
3. Seal the sides of electrifying grid with glass or acrylic panel
4. Stomp on the ground, jump jump jump jump
5. ?????
6. Pop pop pop!
Very efficient device :) .. but there is a very simple solution when you have a wasp nest in the ground ... wait for the night (11.00 - 12.00 pm) to be sure that all wasps are sleeping in the nest .. prepare one or two gallons of sticky mud (sticky .. not too liquid) .. then put the mud in and over the hole .. finally, put a brick or large stone on top ... voilà ! Just forget it for 3 days .. all wasps will be dead from suffocation ... without using electricity, complicated device, chemicals or dangerous gasoline potions :)
You are missing the whole point, personally I delight in seeing them explode.
Enormously satisfying to watch! 💥 💥
What happened at 5:41? The case started arcing and smoking then you cut to a different clip. What shorted out?
How dare you burn those poor plants!
Goldenkitten1 funny comment
your energy bill must be quite high
It's been a long time since I've been stung by a Wasp. But you do not forget. Thanks for the Vid.
I laughed, I cried, I got back in line.. to see this OVER AND OVER
I nominate this guy to build our border wall😂👍or atleast electrify it for us
The troops are the wall
I should build that kind of stuff for the cats shitting in my yard :D
What he said.
excuse me for being pissed about a guy talking about literal crime, how about you fuck off.

this is SO satisfying to watch
Well done! This was great!
Install these on the entire american mexican border. Trump would gladly approve.
Trump needs one of those for the Mexicans
What if it starts raining?
This is just beautiful to watch!
Imagine having to explain this if wasps ever became sentient.
i love this guy! This is brilliant!
Are wasps attracted to electric currents? or what’s drawing them to the device?
I just dont know why its so entertaining to watch bees get toasted lol!
I don't get how this works. what causes them to complete the circuit if they fly/ can only touch one surface at a time. shouldn't the coil dead short across the air gap before selectively zapping a wasp?
With High Voltage there need to be a certain distance between conductors to avoid a flash over.
When the wasp enters it doesn't need to touch any conductor.
The wet body of the wasp is a conductor and a spark occurs from one grid to the other and the wasp is electrocuted.
Similar principle as your bug zappers they sell in Wallmart. This one just has a lot more power.
Still the most satisfying noise one can hear!
Wasp: *gets blown in half by trap*
Other Wasps: ...Yeah, this looks safe.
Watching your videos I am planning building such an apparatus myself. There is one question though. Do you have any particular reason not to put the plates closer together? Like half a centimeter or so?
You could put the plates a bit close but you don't want creating flashovers by itself. 5.6 kV does jump across when the plates are too close. The wasp forms the conducting part and pops.
