Damn man, this video deserves a thousand likes from every person watching it. I've been using premiere pro for over 2 years now but at this very moment after watching the video, I'm wondering how come I didn't know about this till today & that you get to learn something new everyday no matter how experienced you are. Like this goes to show how much can be done with audio itself in premiere as well.
Yours was the third video I watched on this subject to figure out why in the heck my mixer levels were changing on their own. (Turns out I had accidentally messed with the Write, Read drop-downs.) Thanks for explaining that! I was going crazy!
Thank god for this tutorial! Was about to loose my mind at 1am trying to figure out why the slider on one track kept moving and why I couldn't reset it back to 0!
thank you for this video, for people that actually want to learn about the audio side of editing, this is honestly a great start! Thanks for this!! Upgrading my edits to ANOTHER level!
Thanks for this. Honestly, I think it is easier to explain to first time users by making keyframes on the audio tracks themselves. I've worked with audio for 40 years now and the whole latch/write/read automation thing has always confused me. Also the whole track and clip mixer adds an additional layer of confusion. Just do keyframes on the tracks at first.
This was PERFECT! It was clear and got directly to what does what. I spent 2 hours looking for a video (THIS ONE) that would give me a run down of what I need. This was short and covered everything I needed. YAY!
Ok but I have the problem (which I also saw happening in the video, yet wasn't adressed) that once I adjust my audio levels and hit play, the programm just resets them. It happens in your video as well but somehow you seemed to ignore it. At 4:04 you adjust the volume to -5,02db and when you play the clip at 4:24 you can clearly see that it's back at 0. So you didn't adjust it at all
Hi! You must delete all "track keyframes", after that you can change volume without problems, watch this video on 8:07 Also you need switch on "static peaks" in Audio Track Mixer (right button on indicator)
Good tutorial for newbies in audio track mixer, really will help many people. There is one missing ability in Premiere Pro Audio Track Mixer - you can not save preset of customized settings for the effect in track. It makes real trouubles, when you made complex effect or effect rack setting and can't use it second time for anoher track by pair of clicks. Or maybe I don' know some secret? Thank You for you great channel!
Jo, great tutorial... The only Thing what you don't coverd is, that you also can use Mono/5.1 adaptiv tracks etc... select the Sequence in the Projectwindow, rightclick and select Modify -> Audiotracks I still don't know what e Adaptiv track does, but it's nice to know if you need Monotracks
11:04 thank you so much for this but after sitting through 11 mins of this, I realise it's not going to talk about the 1 thing I came here for, which is how to edit the options for FX I add to tracks. It seems to offer extremely crude / limited options for FX if I add them to the track. For example, 30 band EQ is completely unusable in track audio panel FX. It's just a hopeless user experience, I don't understand why it's so different / so much worse than when you edit an effect applied to a clip.
I just found the answer! (I also partially came for this) - just need to double click on the effect in the audio track mixer and it gives you the same editing dialogue as usual!
Would appreciate a video on recommended levels for dialogue, foley, music, etc. Or any tips on managing audio levels in a short film. I have 80+ tracks alone in 3 minute short film alone.
I am the only one who came to find the music in the video? great video man I'll be back to learn more just upload the video after you edit the music please... I love it
Sometimes when you've just rebuilt your system and you're in a rush to get work done, you need a friendly voice to explain the difference between track mixer and clip mixer, even though you've been using it for years. Thank you.
Thanks for the video. I have an icon under the left and right panning dial that, when hovered over says “ set track output channel assignments”. Do you have any videos that cover this aspect of the track mixer?
Can I use it for podcast, like I have 3 audio files(3 speakers) and you can hear the other's voice from the other speaker's mic/audio? So I can save time from cutting each file for almost every second.
Yes Vegas isn't professional level, but it does so many things just intuitively and not pointlessly complex. My problem now is: I have to work on multiple sequences in one Project, so I finished cutting one video and edited the audio in the audiotrack mixer. Now when I go to the next Sequence, of course the Audiotrack mixer is empty again. How to I copy the settings from one Sequence to the other? Why is there not simply a "Create Preset" "Load Preset" on all the stuff you can adjust? I guess I'll move onto trying Resolve, the Workflow in Premiere is just not well thought of. Not just because of me not having learned it well, but so many things just need so much more clicks to do than any other Programm, and sometimes the most logical features are hidden in some stupid menu. No way in hell I'll pay 24€ a month for never being to able a programm that I hate using anyways.
I have same problem. I just reuse same sequence from previous project cleared it from previus content and saved as 'template' blank. It seems to be the only way to repeat the whole track mixer with all settings. Problem comes when you need to create same sttings for new track using one already sat. You need to manually recreate all the settings in each effect aplied to the track.
How do you disable all effects for a track? I can't locate that ability anywhere? I want to hear the difference between the effects I applied for a track and how it was before the effects. I don't see a toggle button for this.
A teacher is a person who can explain a complicated topic in the simplest way which you are the typical example. Thanks for this

Thanks so much Maxim! You're correct as far as we know that this feature is absent. We would love to see it introduced as well
@@MotionArrayTutorials I hope for this too. Thank You!

Luke Flegg I had to log in to like your comment. I don’t understand this either and I wish Jordan had this written in his script for us.
I just found the answer! (I also partially came for this) - just need to double click on the effect in the audio track mixer and it gives you the same editing dialogue as usual!
@@HongKongBlog Thanks for following up, finally an answer.
subscribed and thanks for the tutorial
Awesome, thank you so much!
thanks bro🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much for this extremely helpful and well-presented tutorial! I learned what I was looking for and a lot more as well!
hahaha that big smile .. I subscribed and liked the video for it 😁😂🤣
thank you! ive been trying to figure out how to limit the master channel for so long.
Hey thank you so much! I just know how to set keyframe to bypass my audio fx. It helps a lot!
Thanks!
Once I got a mix that I really like, how do I save it as a preset for the audio track mixer? Btw thank you for the tutorial. It was incredibly helpful
Would appreciate a video on recommended levels for dialogue, foley, music, etc. Or any tips on managing audio levels in a short film. I have 80+ tracks alone in 3 minute short film alone.
That's a great idea. Wow, good luck with the short film, that sounds incredibly complex!
You are awesome people!
Great tutorial! Learned something very important and helpful within 14 Minutes!
Well done, thank you! :-)
Дякую, допоміг!!!
Ми дуже раді почути!
thanks. could you perhaps teach me how to preset each audio track to be at certain decibels by default?
I am the only one who came to find the music in the video?
great video man I'll be back to learn more
just upload the video after you edit the music please... I love it
Sometimes when you've just rebuilt your system and you're in a rush to get work done, you need a friendly voice to explain the difference between track mixer and clip mixer, even though you've been using it for years. Thank you.

very good
amazing
Mega! You da man! Nice one :o)
Thanks!
That smile....damn.
Cheers!
Great Vid! - any chance Adobe will let us control volume with percent instead of decibels like in the old days? we are not acoustic scientists!
What resolution are you using on your desktop? That looks bigger than 1920x1080
Yes we are actually using a monitor (and capturing screen recordings) at 2560 x 1440
Can I use it for podcast, like I have 3 audio files(3 speakers) and you can hear the other's voice from the other speaker's mic/audio? So I can save time from cutting each file for almost every second.
Can we add saved preset (effects) in the Audio Track Mixer?

is there a limit of 5 vsts you can put on the master channel?!
how can we use audi presets present inside specific effects using audio track mixer
