A friend of mine was vacationing in Mexico a few years ago. He was by the pool at a resort. He sees Dave Grohl by himself at the pool. He goes tell Dave 'hi' and Dave just hung out with him for the rest of the day by the pool. He said Dave was a great sport and they were taking pics and playing like they had passed out on the chairs together and everything. At the end of the day, Dave just said 'see you later' and left. Never saw him again. GREAT story about a great dude. Dave is awesome.
Jayveetv: The volume's kind of low. Me: Oh, just wait. The Foo Fighters are legendary! Back in 1995, no one expected them to have the success and longevity that they've enjoyed for the last 25 years. If you dig this, you should definitely try listening to "Everlong," "Learn to Fly," "I'll Stick Around," "Big Me," and, one of my personal favorites, "The Last Song."
I like everylong, even though ironically as good as it is, I like the acoustic version that came on the radio more than the initial everlong song. I like the acoustic version more than electric guitar one that was original.
I’m a 63 year old disabled woman, and The Foo Fighters song “Times Like These” is my anthem when I get to feeling so depressed about lost love, lost lives, lost mobility and anything that brings me or anyone down. I like all the versions, but there are many live large arena performances where you can see so many people singing and rocking out together, and feel hopeful to get through difficult “Times Like These” together! It’s uplifting and highly charged ROCK!! Everyone of the members are perfection! (But I’ve been loving Dave Grohl from the early days of Nirvana!) I hope your side is feeling better! 🙏🏼
Hi Cat I'm the same age and am disabled. I know how hard it can get. Sending prayers and love. By the way the Foos literally saved my life. I got septicemia a couple of weeks after One By One came out. I was delerious for 3 days. The whole time I heard that cd in my head. Made up videos for the songs. I was a singer/keyboard player. Anyway, when I got back to reality drs and nurses kept coming in telling me how lucky I was. I only had 30% chance of surviving
Dave grohl singing fell off the stage once in a concert and severely fractured his ankle. But he would not disappoint his fans since they had just started the concert. The doctor who attended him told him he needed to go to hospital and he said no. The doctor ended up on stage for the whole concert keeping his ankle stable while he performed sitting down on a chair. That's appreciation for his fans 👏
Your reaction was priceless! That's exactly why they are so successful. Their songs pull you in the first time you hear them. Nobody can write a hook like them.
I hope you do another Foo Fighters song, "Best of You". Most importantly, the original video version. The director's wife had just died before they made it, and he used the creation of the video to express the state of mind he was in. (Also, the song, itself, is very good). Some other good Foo Fighters songs (with great original videos) are , "My Hero" and , "Learn to Fly".
Best of You is the only one that will satisfy after hearing Pretender, that or Everlong. I adore the FF's but I'm not a hardcore fan, hardcore fans always suggest other tracks they have learnt to love from repeated play and dont realise it isn't the the same genius as thd groups best songs. For example Learn to Fly isn't in the same league as Pretender, I hope he listens to Best of you next, it's brilliant credit where it's due, it's something special 💕
YES!!!!! I was so focused on My hero, I forgot Best of you. Both my top songs, along with The Pretender, but how can you choose? They’re ALL STRAIGHT FIRE!!
The Foo Fighters are a great band! In my top 5 all time favs. Dave Grohl used to be the drummer for Nirvana. Check out Everlong, All my life; Breakout; Bridge burning; Walk; Learn to fly; This is a call; I’ll stick around; DOA; Best of you
One of my favorite songs of all time!! The Foo Fighters have so many great songs. I hope you will consider doing more of theirs like Learning to Fly, Everlong, or Walk. The lead singer David Grohl used to be the drummer for Nirvana. He's so talented. Actually for something different maybe you could react to when they were on Carpool Karaoke with James Corden. It's highly entertaining!
I got to meet Dave & the band backstage at a concert in Chicago once. Everything they say about him is 100% true. Such a nice guy. Taylor Hawkins, however, was surprisingly not. Maybe having an off day or something. But he was in an adjacent room sitting on a couch. I popped my head in & just said Hi Taylor.... and nothing... not even an acknowledgement. I was surprised because what I’ve seen and heard of him didn’t match my experience. Still - I❤️Foo.
@@danelleb.8149 I’ve met them a few times at the Bridgeport beneficial concert in California backstage and actually had dinner with them once and every time Taylor was such a nice guy so maybe you’re right he was having a bad day

Jayvee: "Volume is a bit low..." Me: "Hold on to your hat, Jay! It's about to get REAL!" What an AMAZING reaction to an AMAZING song! Keep up your reactions, Jay, you are SUPERB!!!!
Jay, Foo Fighters, Learn to Fly, much more uplifting in these angry times, check out the entire group of Italians from Messina , asking for the Foo Fighters to come and play, ( it will blow your mind). Yes, over a thousand musicians from all over Italy played this tune hoping the Foo Fighters would respond...and they did!
I was at their first gig in the UK. It was at the Reading Festival in 95. The organisers put them in the tent and not on the main stage. Wrong move. The tent nearly got pulled down. One of the most crazy gigs I've ever been too. It was awesome.
Foto Fighters concerts have been some of the best concerts I have ever been to! The energy is unreal. If anyone gets the chance to see them live - do it - hands down the best time of your life!
You've listened to Dave Grohl if you listened to Nirvana ;) (although not singing) Also, he played an entire concert once with a broken ankle/leg. (Which he broke at the start of the concert by falling off stage)
Foo Fighters are my favorite! Dave Grohl has an amazing voice and is easy on the eyes!!! 😍😍 Listen to Everlong, Learn to fly, Monkey Wrench, Hero, Times like theses!! So many can't go wrong!!

Hey Jay!! Don't forget that you called this song EPIC & wanted more Foo Fighters. They bring the same intensity to every song. OMG you should see them in concert. 3 straight hours of high power excellent songs. Dave Grohl (lead singer & guitartist) & Taylor Hawkins (drums) are the real deal. Dave was the drummer of Nirvana & when he started Foo Fighters he played every instrument himself then put it together for their first album. Insane talent. Sometimes in concert Taylor & Dave will switch places. Dave is well known as the nicest guy in Rock & Roll. "Everlong" from their second album is one of the greatest and highest-energy songs about falling in love ever. (The video is pretty goofy. I'm almost certain I've seen a completely different, less goofy video for it before, but I can't find any evidence of its existence on these inter-webs..)
It's a love song too . Yaaaaaay. So good I blast this!!!!! Add the band to your own playlist, J. As someone else said, there is no bad foo fighters song. Dave is an amazing talent!

Saw them when Dave had broken his leg and he rocked harder sitting down than most singers can standing up.
You want more energy? Feast and the Famine and DOA. And for a f*cking awesome laugh check out "low" with Jack Black. ummm this is late....

Cranked to 100, I wish I could turn it up more. So Foo Fighters.
"Monkey Wrench" "Let it Die" , the video of 1000 people in Cesena Italy playing "Learn to Fly"...
here checking out your Foo fighters videos again after Taylor just died. rip buddy. it was awesome watching you do this one. you went from energy zero to energy 300 by the end of the song. you definitely need to hit more of their stuff.
