I used to work in a coffee shop where they often played the INXS song "Suicide Blonde" and one of my co-workers always got so mad about it because they chose that of all songs after the lead singer had committed suicide.
Because the song was named that after Kylie Minogue told Michael Hutchence that's what you call it when someone dyes their own hair blonde. (dye by my own hand). It has nothing to do with actual suicide despite what the title says.

I always thought that bands like INXS that did more upbeat music ended up doing ballads at this time in part because of the proliferation and success hair bands were having with ballads at the time. This song is so much better than 90% of the hair band ballads though.
One of the best groups that came out of the 80s! There will never be another Michael Hutchence with that powerful incredible soothing voice.
