- At least we thought it was abandoned. The Alaskan gold rush has a long history that continues to this day. Come along as we go exploring in the mountains behind our cabin to check out a 120 year old gold claim and the many cabins and mine shafts that still exist today. The Alaskan alpine tundra is truly breathtaking and so are the many lakes and streams that we get to see on todays hike into the wilderness. Hope you enjoy!

Wonderful video. Wish I had done some of that when I was growing up there. 1960 to 1974, Wasilla and Anchorage .... Visited 3 times since but anymore I cannot tolerate the snow. Thank you for the views.

Great vid and trip. Beautiful place. I made a few like that when I was inspecting up there. Always interesting. A little color drives many a man wild. It is exciting to find. I'd like to set up camp a couple days out there. Didn't seem so crowded or buggy. Oh yeah. like ole Timmy but she's a lot prettier. Respectfully. Shoot some more vids. Hope the new rental is coming along well.
