- My arrangement of "Au Lait" , an original composition by Lyle Mays (1953-2020) is my humble tribute to this great musician who, together with Metheny, was the creative core of the Pat Metheny Group for 30 years

Of all the songs that I have ever heard in my lifetime, "Au Lait" is undoubtedly and unequivocally my favorite. I absolutely LOVE this song and this is by far and wide one of the BEST covers I've heard of it with a wonderful twist of your very own. Thank you.

All I can say is incredible 😊!! I've been listening to this track since it's release in 1982. I'm 57 wonderful rendition of the music. Lyle will be missed and I'm sure he'd be proud of your redition.

Beautiful work and a very thoughtful arrangement. Why did you choose this particular track if you don’t mind me asking? It is my favorite in the album though probably most people think of James when Off Ramp is mentioned. Au Lait feels like a study in how to build and release musical tension. For some reason the Falling Water house always came to mind when I heard this composition… now I know Lyle Mays was apparently a fan of Frank Llloyd Wright.
