jorgestramusic Thank you Jorge. When my mother passed in 2016, I found your posting by chance and listened to it over and over again....I had forgotten Lyle had written this. I’ve listened to it many, many times now since my mother’s passing. Maybe over a hundred times. It is probably my favorite Lyle Mays piece now. Only rarely are we gifted with such great talent. Lyle was like that shooting star that passes through the cold dark of night. In that moment, so brilliant and yet so quick to pass. Never to be seen again, never to be forgotten.
Lyle Mays knew how to travel across the unverse, his inspiration by playing his keyboards was out of this world. I will be missing your executions for long time. To listen to your keyboards was so relaxing and wonderful. Rest in peace Lyle my friend.
The melody Bonnie Herman sings from 2:16 to 2:28 is the kind of grace note that finds the weak spot in my armor and makes my heart soar while simultaneously reducing me to tears. Even better is when Lyle comes in at the 2:43 mark and gently restates that same melody in a way that comforts and reassures. As far as musical genius goes, it just doesn’t get any better than this. A million thanks for posting this forgotten gem, jorgestramusic.
OO Bonnie Herman, your voice, your appearance, you are so Beautiful! The Singers Unlimited was the ultimate Choir/gruop/singers/ensemble, "Indian Summer" "Like someone in love" "Clair" "Girl talk" and many other tunes, it brings back memories from my youth, the summer of `76, love you Always! God Bless You and God Bless Lyle Mays!
This is a hauntingly beautiful masterpiece. I was always transfixed by Kyle's' s music. Seeing him live in concert takes your breath away. The Pat Metheny Group sound was never the same after his departure.
They didn’t record as the Pat Metheny Group without Lyle. He didn’t ever leave the band, Pat just travelled in a different musical direction working with other musicians. They were the best of musical friends and now there will never be another PMG album. Thankfully we still have some beautiful music to listen to.
This is my very favorite instrumental of all times, and I do listen to a lot of instrumental jazz and classical etc. but I love the title, Moses the lawgiver, it tells me every day that that which is written in the Bible is much more important than secular humanism which never seems to arise or anything or arrive I should say
I will be patiently and prayerfully awaiting that day when I can hear all 25 minutes of the story, and Ben Kingsley is an amazing narrator and powerful in spiritual things. With great expectation I look forward to hearing it!

And I want creamation and 2 hymns and those three songs for my memorial service. These folks down here will think I’m hethen😉but that’s alright. They think I “different “ anyway. Especially since I taught Art to their middle schoolers. And artists are weird
And most of us are a bit strange, and we are. And it’s okay. I have friends had a wonderful principal who always gave me top ratings. Sorry I went on !!
BEAUTÉ ET PAIX, MERVEILLE DES MERVEILLES QUE CETTE MUSIQUE QUI NOUS EMMÈNE PLUS LOIN QUE NOUS
This sounds a lot more melancholy now that he’s gone
Can't quench this spirit
Father in Heaven, Thank YOU
for Lyle Mays and your GLORIOUS Gifts YOU gave to Lyle to share with US, the world.
Linda obra una musica muy inspirada en la palabra de dios y el artista debe de estar bien.espiritualmente con una inspiración muy profunda.
First heard Lyle with The Woody Herman Orchestra back in the 70's ... thought then what a Genius he was ....RIP Lyle .
Whenever I need my body and soul cleansed,
I always return here
Rest In Peace my friend
Simplemente mágico
Immenso!
Only rarely are we gifted with such great talent. Lyle was like that shooting star that passes through the cold dark of night. In that moment, so brilliant and yet so quick to pass. Never to be seen again, never to be forgotten.
Very nice. I fell in love with this tune ❗️
Great song,my 1rst time hearing this.
Now, this take on a even deeper meaning to me. Love & miss you Lyle.

Lyle was a superior expressive genius. His style and nuances were perfection in every aspect.

no words for such beautiful music...
They will put me down, to this song...and the I will join you, Lyle. Such sweetness, personified, in this beautiful melody,
I am sure Lyle is in paradise now... He left us with such divine music to listen Grazie Mille
Lyle I'm so thankful that you knew the LORD. I'll say hey brother when Jesus calls HIS children home 🏘️ and listen to you play
Lyle Mays knew how to travel across the unverse, his inspiration by playing his keyboards was out of this world. I will be missing your executions for long time. To listen to your keyboards was so relaxing and wonderful. Rest in peace Lyle my friend.
How, exactly, did "Lyle Mays know how to travel across the universe?"
@@lovebaja Through the relaxation by listening his music, along with Pat and the rest of the guys. My personal opinion,. Lovebaja. Greetings.
Non riesco sono sicuro che mr lyle è ancora qui con noi
OO Bonnie Herman, your voice, your appearance, you are so Beautiful! The Singers Unlimited was the ultimate Choir/gruop/singers/ensemble, "Indian Summer" "Like someone in love" "Clair" "Girl talk" and many other tunes, it brings back memories from my youth, the summer of `76, love you Always! God Bless You and God Bless Lyle Mays!
Lyle May's the true liberace of jazz piano..his music will last within me forever R.I.P
This is like No Other
If there is a higher life
I hope they realise we do have some beautiful traits such as
This beautiful music.
This is a hauntingly beautiful masterpiece. I was always transfixed by Kyle's' s music. Seeing him live in concert takes your breath away. The Pat Metheny Group sound was never the same after his departure.
Lyle
They didn’t record as the Pat Metheny Group without Lyle. He didn’t ever leave the band, Pat just travelled in a different musical direction working with other musicians. They were the best of musical friends and now there will never be another PMG album. Thankfully we still have some beautiful music to listen to.
@@markyates8399Unfortunately you're right. There will never be PMG again. It was so hard to write this.
This is my very favorite instrumental of all times, and I do listen to a lot of instrumental jazz and classical etc. but I love the title, Moses the lawgiver, it tells me every day that that which is written in the Bible is much more important than secular humanism which never seems to arise or anything or arrive I should say
Excellent!
I will be patiently and prayerfully awaiting that day when I can hear all 25 minutes of the story, and Ben Kingsley is an amazing narrator and powerful in spiritual things. With great expectation I look forward to hearing it!
Oleskool55 you can listen the whole thing right here in my channel, check my videos.
@@jorgestramusic Will do, thx!

Dear Lyle, I love you and appreciate you. I have always loved your music and genius and how precious your hands are to you as a gift from the Father GOD. This music is so beautiful and truly shows your heart and composing genius. It touches my heart and brings tears to my eyes. I have prayed for you Lyle Mays for years that you would come to know how much GOD truly loves you and how much Jesus loves you and died for you. You are so blessed!!
Seeing and hearing this, I know that my prayers did not fall on deaf ears. GOD is not deaf. Thank You God. PRAISE YOU FATHER GOD, LORD GOD JESUS CHRIST.
God bless all who watch and listen to this
musical and video masterpiece. SHALOM.
