The Bane reference is older than Tom Hardy's portrayal in The Dark Knight Rises. In the comic series, Knightfall, Bane breaks Batman's back over his knee. That is what inspired the movie, and that's what inspired the reference in the game.
I’m aware of the Knightfall. I didn’t remember those being Bane’s exact words in the book though. Since The Dark Knight Rises came out a year before this game, I figured they just took the quote and reworded it.
I’m pretty sure the Alfred conversation is also referencing the Abramovici Twins as it was Thomas Elliot who performed their surgery
