Crocodile hits every 2 seconds dealing 10 pierce damage and 2 divine. That means every second (DPS) is half that, 5 pierce, 1 divine

Seems higher tho.... That can't be right. Consider most units have some pierce armor, that's less than 5 dmg per second overall then? No way that is right.

I'm shocked that you were shocked by the resignation! Divine had zero gold for five entire minutes and zero military production for five entire minutes while Matador's production queue was stacked and he had 45+ on gold, plus his own titan was just very close too.
Also that trumpet was fantastic.

@@FitzBro you're not wrong, at least pre-release the tooltip of that ability was reading that it was a chance to work, not 100% of the time, but it always double spawned for me so i think just a tooltip error, maybe already even fixed (too lazy to check myself)

I First got into Aoe2 as a kid and picked up AOM as my first rts as a adult, it’s amazing and I think it’s working to bring in a lot of new people myself included. Your videos have helped a lot in getting better at the game, I beat my first titan Ai today. Improving everyday, would love to see some more guide focused content, I think it’s what a lot of people want right now.

I kept expecting him to shifting sand his titan onto the enemy titan gate; you can see him train a roc and send it out to look for it. It sadly died before he found the gate though.
Does shifting sand work on titans? I feel like I tried that in a skirmish and it didn’t work but perhaps i just misclicked it

2:15 you cant make me stop picking ra. animals of set are too complicated, isis it a bit too boring, but the monument empowerment system they introduced in Retold is scratching a serious itch. it's not quite factorio levels of base building satisfaction, but it's as close as an Age game ever got
I don't know if they're actually competitive, but Ra + Sobek + Osiris Camels are my favorite units in the game right now, hilarious combination of fast and chunky.
I wish I knew how to make the most of Ra's abilities. I just tend to end up having the one pharoah in the base with everything clustered around it, empowering a monument, then priests going out to boost the gold mines.
That intro for "El matador" was 10/10 xD
The amount of times I saw SOO's attack canceled was enraging! A simple buff to him would be to lower the animation, or quicken how fast he can shoot and have the delay/cooldown afterwards.

I think I have to play it every time now.
I think the numbers are different because the UI shows damage per attack while the tooltip while hovering over shows DPS.
Also the "ch" in "petsuchos" is pronounced like in "choir", like all the "ch"s in AoM I think.

I feel like outposts should give a pre warning if they spot a enemy, only outposts/watchtowers and obelisks tho, not having it kind of defeats the purpose of a watchtower

That would be nice, but it it needs to be just right to not be obnoxious and fit the civ your playing, not being some generic sound or something uncool.

if he sended that titan directly to his titan gate building and stopped it , i dont think there is a chance for Matador killing it without suffering signifficant eco damage no ? why did he go for the town center

favorite eqyptian is set. Priests goes out to convert animals for safe hun near TC, and i always age up ptah, nephtys, horus. Massive bonusses for baracks units which as a group counter everything, and the flat 5 gold you get back is far better on a 60 resource unit than it is on a 250 resource elephant. also you get cheaper stronger priests vs myth. It's a build centered on basic units though, so i try to get mythic age for tornado spam since my favor isnt used on myth units much.

Damage is Not the Same as DPS my Guy.
Crocodiles only Attack every 2 Seconds, you need to read the Numbers by the >> arrows farther down saying 2. The lower the number the faster they attack

the attack numbers beside the icons shows the damage dealt by an attack, the tooltip when you hover with the mouse shows the damage per second calculation, which takes attack speed into account. I think.
a very confusing way to show damage. then again this is the game that uses "pierce" "hack" and "crush" instead of "ranged" "melee" and "siege" like a sane person would.
I don't even think it's the worst way to display damage, armor, attack speed, bonus damage and so on. I just wish you didn't have to hover over damage to show the damage per second, but maybe there's a setting for that I haven't found yet.
It doesn't mention that it's 40damage dealt over 1s(piercing) and 2 plus 8 over 1s (divine). The wiki knows.

The attack is a continuous attack for 2 seconds, dealing 5 ranged and 1 divine per second :P

It counts the atack speed as well. So it attacks every 2 seconds
Laser croc is 40 pierce and 10 divine DMG per laser. U can Check that at the latest patch notes

Ra seems so bad in 1 v 1 games, wouldn't it be better to not go all in on farms and save the gold for miltary units instead to push map control? The food advantage didnt seem to help that much and the new small empowered buff doesnt seem to really help either. I dont think ive seen people try to use the monument + pharaoh to boost like an array of towers(lol) and migdol firepower for turtling
This is a shame, i feel like AOM needs to do something about the resigning if it wants to be more entertaining. Although everyone with knowledge about the game probably already knew the outcome, for someone only familiar with the game from childhood, this kinda ending takes away a lot of a potentially very entertaining game.

For that ending I looked up Devine & blocked him! I don't want him as an enemy or teammate. That's like when a teammate quits in aoe4 & i have to fight harder to win. Just shows me even more how garbage they are

Man, pros are so LAME. Quitting a game with a Titan out. Soulless. He could have even took out the opponent's gate it was only at 67%. This is why I prefer watching non-pro games.
Priests and Slingers for red, could have helped, none were seen...

There was no way of winning for Divine, it was gonna be titan on titan and then the player with actual eco wins.
Couldn’t Ra send his Titan straight to the enemy Titan gate to stop its construction? It might’ve still been difficult but there was a chance for sure.
@@LambdaTF2 I dont know if he knew where it was. And even then it would have just been a matter of time. Without an army and eco behind it the titan is not an insta win. It can be eventually kited down and killed with heroes due to how slow it is.
@@juanfisi Yeah, I'm still relatively new to the game and have just suffered my fair share of defeats in a similar situation so I understand it a bit better now. I still would've liked to see the game played a bit more but these players probably can see the games decided far before I do.
I like Isis the most too, she's got son of osiris as well. Not a fan of Sets animals.

I have played Age Of Mythology since 2002 and absolutely loved it from the get go, but as with so many other games do we think the devs will try and milk every ounce of nostalgia out of this?
Like blizzard absolutely trashed SC2 post release, by introducing a span of units that shit on the original game, loot boxes, battle pass, micro transactions or something else?

Honestly the game works like garbage atm, cant even play a match without someone disconnecting and dont get me started on the unit pathing, im pretty disappointed like why they gotta switch up controls for every game
These tournaments are always bogus no real skill involved just spam whatever your best ranged unit is and go to town.
