    My John Deere 135 needs a drive belt change but I don't have the equipment you have. Dealer wants $260 to replace it, lol. You do great work! 👍👍👍

      That seems steep for a belt... Kevlar belts run $45 here in Canada usually and it's usually like an hour or less to change them. Honestly it all depends on the machine thought.

      Love STENS belts! Kevlar "True Blue" belts are usually less money than regular OEM belts!

  • @waynestefinashen239
    @waynestefinashen239 5 лет назад +2

    Stens now warranties the TrueBlue belts for 2 years just too bad they only make them in whole inches. Another good video providing lots of information.

      @@philliphall5198 I understand that will work but the auger drive belt normally is raw edged for more bite and cogged will increase that even more.

    This belt replacement is pretty easy...once you take the rear sheet metal off which is pretty easy. It can be done with the mower deck in place. I appreciate that you got the job done, but any R & R job that requires bending things out of the way indicates it probably not the manner the manufacturer intended.

    Love the quality of your videos.
    Two things:1... Did I see a cheap eBay gas filter, beware they aren't sealed at the top and will let dirt by....take one apart.
    2: I learned the hard way to replace all the pulleys when I change the drive belt....then no come backs if one fails.. D,LA,E series JD ,both pulleys I sell for 27$ that I get from Stens. No worth not replacing...just my 2cents.
    Keep it up.

      Thanks Bill! And to answer your questions, no that was a STENS fuel filter!
      And also, the other pulley's seemed to be ok during inspection, I realize that replacing will prevent issues.
      But it's a hard sell when it's someone else's!
      If it were mine, I would've replaced them forsure!

    i need some advise. i am trying to replace this same belt but im having a hard time getting it on. its the right part number, M118048. I started on the fan pulley and had it wrapped around the way it should but i dont have enough slack to get it over the pulley above the clutch. do you have any advice or trick to get it over? everything i look up online from john deere and my local lawn repair company says that its the correct part so it should be right.. i havent mowed my lawn in 3 weeks.....
