I don’t even care about 5G data speeds. A local major phone carrier doesn’t sell the 5G phones because there is no 5G in the area even though it’s available on their website. They lost a sale from me because the s10 5g has better specs.
I viewed these both but couldnt resist the larger screen size of the S10-5G and larger battery life. On paper the size difference didnt seem as drastic as the more noticeable size difference I experienced when in hand.

Hmmm, I'd probably rather go for a 2020 mid-ranger at this point - anything with a Snapdragon 765G will have similar performance to S10 5G, but you'll get better software support. Though on camera S10 will probably still hold its own tbf. Nice phones and last of the galaxy flagship head phone jack models it seems , i find it weird and it pisses me off that samsungs recent 3 A peasant models have the headphone jack , and the high end Note models are not getting the dam head 3.5 mm headphone jack , no SD on the smaller note either , no proper notification light , heart rate sensor gone ! I`m tempted to get the S10 5G model as i like big phones , and i have largish hands so it should be better for typing too , on the other hand , february ish 2020 the new S models will be released , also tempting to wait and see if the newey`s are keepers or not , On the plus side waiting for a bit the S10/5G variants should come down in price a tad .

Now that the s20 has been released, last years models are super cheap. Go to samsung.com and check out some of the deals they have on the 2019 Samsung lineup between the S series and Note series. Most of last years flagships are nearly half price from their release date.
Nah buy a second hand phone (in good condition) since tech savvy are going to upgrade to s20. S10 5g is around £550 on eBay perfect condition. If u want to wait u can find a deal by some next seller. I got my s10 5g for £460
