jakewatto honestly, the S Plus variants are always so similar to the Notes that I don’t think it’s worth waiting 6 or 7 months for the Note of the year, specially this year with the S11 around the corner.
The hole punch in my s10+ doesnt annoy me and never will not like all of my friends that have X or up Series of Iphone and have that horrible Notch taking too much space in the display
So far, the one thing I don't like about the Note is that is does feel pointy in your hands. This would be alleviated with a good case. Any recommends?

I had originally got the smaller note bc the bigger one just looked so intimidating especially coming from the iphone. but I literally exchanged for the bigger one the next day & I'm glad i did. its doesn't feel big in the hands at all. it's very comfortable & lightweight. and its better to write on with the pen too compared to the smaller model.

From someone who's used both, the notes screen is just better for content. The symmetrical hole punch is way better. No headphone jack which is kinda annoying but no matter which you choose, both great choices
I upgraded from the iphone 7 which didn't have a headphone Jack. To me headphone jack is dead. I always connect my phones to their port for CarPlay/AA. I have bluetooth speakers and headphones.... so headphone jack is useless to me thankfully. I got the Note 10 plus which was on sale and cheaper than the S10+

I have the Aura White, it's amazing, I haven't yet gotten into taking good pics with the Note 10+ yet but will get there, this phone is truly Amazing and the Note 11+ that's being talked about now is going to be even more exciting.
I still do not understand why the would remove the health sensor, its a small dot, they could have easily added it to rest of the sensors in the back, and removing the headphone jack is another mistake, they say they listen to customers and remove it. Nice job samsung.
I guess I'm 3 years in late to this but it's better late than never. I currently own both Note 10 plus and s10 plus. Hands down both phones are great, nothing negative but all love towards them.
S10+ fits my hand perfectly, the only problem with it is the unusually high power button placement, dont get me wrong the Note10+ is no doubt a great phone but I almost never use the S pen tbh and the screen is too large for me.
I traded my iphone x for galaxy s10 plus and i can say that difference between that both phones are huge,iphone is bored and nothing new they make in last few years but this s10+ is booooooomb 💣 Also greetings from 🇭🇷
Have had my S10+ for over a week now. Had an Apple before. The phone is magnificent. The Jack is a deal breaker. The curved corners are much nicer. I am sure the S10 could be adjusted to use the s pen.
If you want a phone to play shooting games like fortnite or PUBG,Note 10 plus is for you. If you want to send your pictures instantly to Instagram and have a more comfortable and lazy feel,S10 plus is for you.

Get a galaxy watch and galaxy buds. Its very handy if you have accessories, you have your Galaxy... but you have yet to explore the uh universe ;) you can charge your phone, and your watch, at the same time.... or your headphones. That's dope as fuck I dont care who you are 🤣
@@ann.samuel I think you're a bit confused with power share. If I'm not mistaken, only the note 10 and s10 have this function. Its where the s10 or note 10 acts as a wireless charger by charging another device with wireless charging capabilities. So for example a note 10 plus could wirelessly charge an s9. But a s9 cant charge a note 10. Does this make sense?
Nice review, I use the s10+ & I have no need for the pen. To me there's very little difference between the two. Plus I luv using wired headphones. I'm gonna wait for the s11+ & the 865processer. But the note10+ is an excellent purchase. It's still the best offering to date!

Put them side by side. Take a good look. Pick them up. Touch them all over. Then and only then will you realize that the S10+ is a premium quality phone, but the Note 10+ is a luxury phone. If luxury doesn't mean much to you, then neither will the phone. The specs alone do not justify the price difference. P.S. The Note 10+ is bigger than it seems. Basic jeans pockets don't cut it for this bad boy.
I am TOTALLY agree with you on the front camera placement, why did Samsung made such a bad choice placing it in the middle of the screen? Sure it looks "symmetrical" for all the perfectionists out there, but practically it's worse than the corner placement!

It's better than placing the hole wherever they feel like just because they can. Plus there's something unique about that right corner cutout lol. Now the note just looks like it's got a teardrop notch.
Personally, I completely agree with you. I think it's more for the average consumer who might not be especially tech savvy would find it confusing to choose between two models looking so similar. But now they have a centred front camera, a corner-placed rear camera and the S10+ is the opposite way round...oh well!

Thanks for the review. Not one mention of their abilities and performance as phones... reception, call quality, speaker placement and background noise cancellation. Ahhhhh what a day and age we live in, where it is more important in a phone review to review cameras and pens than it is to review the actual phone characteristics. I have yet to see a phone review in 2019/2020 that talks about clarity, reception, antennas, codecs, jitter etc. for audio communication. Not a complaint, just an observation. I'm not sure if all phones are just assumed to be indistinguishable in that manner, or if it simply doesn't matter because nobody uses a phone for voice communications any more.
It is interesting isn't it? I don't often mention the phone call performance since this is largely dictated by the carrier. Cellular traffic, network availability, location, weather etc all factor - and are specific to each person, so it's not useful to review my own experiences. Only if the hardware/software of the phone affects the call quality in a noteworthy way would I mention it - nothing noteworthy to say here. But you're so right. It's interesting how far down the pecking order 'phone calls' are in terms of smartphone features now!

I have the S10 plus and I did not like the big punch hole in the top but seeing it has a significant quality boost in pictures, I don't mind at all. It's an ugly hole in the corner that I can't tolerate but it provides amazing selfies. And I always take selfies, especially with livefocus. 😂
This is my first Note purchase. Always preferred the S Series. BUT... This year the S Series didn't offer a much bigger screen or any faster charging than my S8 Plus so I waited for the Note 10. Am very glad I did due to the faster charging and much bigger screen 6.8" vs my 6.2" on my S8 Plus. Don't need the SPen but found it useful on a few occasions. It's the charging speed and gorgeous display on the Note 10 Plus that sold me on the Note this year. Thanks for your video!

Everyone stop whining about the headphone jack, first of all, if you can afford those phones, then you can also get galaxy buds. And Headphones are stereo. Note 10 plus already has stereo sound. And it has better Performance. Although if you want to save money. That would be a good reason to pick the s10+
I was planning to have Note 10 but after thy removed headphone jack I canceled note 10 & keep the S10 plus just because S10 plus have a headphone jack, it is an big advantage, so why Samsung did this huge mistake?
I got a great deal on the S10+ by being part of a membership at my local phone dealer. I had the choice of getting the S10, discounted to around $805 USD (roughly, since i'm just exchanging my country's currency). Then the shop waved a doggy treat in front of me by offering an S10+ for only USD$833!! What a steal! That's almost a $170 discount from the original $999 price tag! With only a 25 dollar difference from the base model, its to no surprise which one i purchased...no regrets
I’m SHOCKED. I watched a 16:49 video about a phone. Kept waiting for the moment where the reviewer would say something, anything, a mention, a nod, about phone and speakerphone quality. Why would I care about all the other features if I can’t make a friggin phone call? WHY, OH WHY did you not mention call quality? IT IS A PHONE!
Quite a few reasons really. Mainly it's because call quality is determined by the carrier - this will be different for each location, network traffic and other uncontrolled factors. Any tests would be applicable only to me at one specific time and in one specific location (and the same applies to the call receiver at the other end) and these results wouldn't be useful for viewers. "Can't make a phone call" is kind of the idea here - i'd essentially only dedicate a section of the video to phone calls if there were any noteworthy points to highlight e.g. phone calls don't work, mic quality is terrible, speaker quality is terrible etc. No such noteworthy points arose so they weren't part of the video. Yes, these are phones at their core. But smartphones are so much more than this now, to the point where phone calls often take a backseat in daily use. If there's something important to say about it though, I will!
I'd be curious to see some live focus comparison photos between the s10+ and the Note 10+ since the Note has the depth vision camera. Does the Note 10+ offer better depth of vision and edge detail??
I have no interest in any pone that doesn't have a headphone jack. And any "flagship phone" without one is no "flagship" to me. It's a bullshit way for companies to get you to buy their bluetooth ear buds. It's dirty business. Blutooth also sucks your battery.
I think the S10+ is better. And i like the S10+s rounded corners, it gives me a friendlier feel. And the camere cutout is looks so special. The N10+s camera cutout looks like a dot and it's always bothering me, i feel like i have to remove with my finger, as if it would be there a dust in this phone. I don't know, it's just my opinion. However I don't need the S pen, but i want it. It's just entangle the peoples in their decisions to choose the best phone...

It's really down to personal preference. I personally prefer the S10+ design because of the more rounded edges - I find the Note a little bit too boxy

The Note extends further to the edges - bezels appear ever so slightly thinner but it causes more problems with accidental screen presses

Differentiating the phones must be the main reason - otherwise the S10s would have been centred to start with - it's a shame!

Personally, I completely agree with you. I think it's more for the average consumer who might not be especially tech savvy would find it confusing to choose between two models looking so similar. But now they have a centred front camera, a corner-placed rear camera and the S10+ is the opposite way round...oh well!

Not one mention of their abilities and performance as phones... reception, call quality, speaker placement and background noise cancellation. Ahhhhh what a day and age we live in, where it is more important in a phone review to review cameras and pens than it is to review the actual phone characteristics. I have yet to see a phone review in 2019/2020 that talks about clarity, reception, antennas, codecs, jitter etc. for audio communication. Not a complaint, just an observation. I'm not sure if all phones are just assumed to be indistinguishable in that manner, or if it simply doesn't matter because nobody uses a phone for voice communications any more.
It is interesting isn't it? I don't often mention the phone call performance since this is largely dictated by the carrier. Cellular traffic, network availability, location, weather etc all factor - and are specific to each person, so it's not useful to review my own experiences. Only if the hardware/software of the phone affects the call quality in a noteworthy way would I mention it - nothing noteworthy to say here.
But you're so right. It's interesting how far down the pecking order 'phone calls' are in terms of smartphone features now!

I have the S10 plus and I did not like the big punch hole in the top but seeing it has a significant quality boost in pictures, I don't mind at all. It's an ugly hole in the corner that I can't tolerate but it provides amazing selfies. And I always take selfies, especially with livefocus. 😂
Yes it's not ideal, but I think it's a lot better than having a thick bezel or huge notch, personally!
This is my first Note purchase. Always preferred the S Series. BUT... This year the S Series didn't offer a much bigger screen or any faster charging than my S8 Plus so I waited for the Note 10. Am very glad I did due to the faster charging and much bigger screen 6.8" vs my 6.2" on my S8 Plus. Don't need the SPen but found it useful on a few occasions. It's the charging speed and gorgeous display on the Note 10 Plus that sold me on the Note this year.

Everyone stop whining about the headphone jack, first of all, if you can afford those phones, then you can also get galaxy buds. And Headphones are stereo. Note 10 plus already has stereo sound. And it has better Performance. Although if you want to save money. That would be a good reason to pick the s10+

I was planning to have Note 10 but after thy removed headphone jack I canceled note 10 & keep the S10 plus just because S10 plus have a headphone jack, it is an big advantage, so why Samsung did this huge mistake?

I got a great deal on the S10+ by being part of a membership at my local phone dealer. I had the choice of getting the S10, discounted to around $805 USD (roughly, since i'm just exchanging my country's currency). Then the shop waved a doggy treat in front of me by offering an S10+ for only USD$833!! What a steal! That's almost a $170 discount from the original $999 price tag! With only a 25 dollar difference from the base model, its to no surprise which one i purchased...no regrets
I’m SHOCKED. I watched a 16:49 video about a phone. Kept waiting for the moment where the reviewer would say something, anything, a mention, a nod, about phone and speakerphone quality. Why would I care about all the other features if I can’t make a friggin phone call? WHY, OH WHY did you not mention call quality? IT IS A PHONE!
Quite a few reasons really. Mainly it's because call quality is determined by the carrier - this will be different for each location, network traffic and other uncontrolled factors. Any tests would be applicable only to me at one specific time and in one specific location (and the same applies to the call receiver at the other end) and these results wouldn't be useful for viewers. "Can't make a phone call" is kind of the idea here - i'd essentially only dedicate a section of the video to phone calls if there were any noteworthy points to highlight e.g. phone calls don't work, mic quality is terrible, speaker quality is terrible etc. No such noteworthy points arose so they weren't part of the video. Yes, these are phones at their core. But smartphones are so much more than this now, to the point where phone calls often take a backseat in daily use. If there's something important to say about it though, I will!

I have no interest in any pone that doesn't have a headphone jack. And any "flagship phone" without one is no "flagship" to me. It's a bullshit way for companies to get you to buy their bluetooth ear buds. It's dirty business. Blutooth also sucks your battery.

For me I love the s10plus it's awsome the top Conner two camera's you's I love it's picture it's classic over the note 10
I think the S10+ is better. And i like the S10+s rounded corners, it gives me a friendlier feel. And the camere cutout is looks so special. The N10+s camera cutout looks like a dot and it's always bothering me, i feel like i have to remove with my finger, as if it would be there a dust in this phone. I don't know, it's just my opinion.
However I don't need the S pen, but i want it. It's just entangle the peoples in their decisions to choose the best phone...
