#VOICEPLAY "Skyrim, the Dragonborn Comes" is absolutely worth reacting to 😊 geoff is amazing in that song as he is in all other voiceplay songs or covers ❤😊
This is Geoff's arrangement. The featured artist was supposed to sing the part that Eli sang, but Covid travel restrictions stopped him from coming. Jose stepped in, but his voice was not suitable for the rocking beast. Eli had already recorded his part, so had to do another recording. We knew he was amazing, but this performance had all of our chins on the floor. Jose came back for another sailing adventure a few months ago when they did Drunken Sailor. I promise, you will love it!!
Rock on! VoicePlay, amazing Acapella group! I think you might like their rendition of Skyrim The Dragon born comes, it’s a great theatrical performance of the original and you hear most of what they can do [including some of the Dovahzul (Dragonish) language], it’s a great performance! 🌹
This song had VoicePlay as a bunch of pirates. If you'd like to see them as a bunch of Vikings, check out My Mother Told Me and Valhalla Calling (that's the order they dropped the videos). The first one has Jose Rosario Jr. again as the featured artist, as he was here, and J. None as a regular member of VoicePlay; the second one has J. None as the featured artist, since he had left VoicePlay to sing with the US Navy in between the two videos!
Wonderful reaction! You were already among my favorite reactors ever, but then you became the only one I've ever seen appreciate the word "sepulchral" :) Very nice!
This song was a reactor slayer when it first came out, causing even people who were famiiar with VoicePlay's talents to simply end their videos, speechless and awed. It's nice to see that it can still elicit that same response even now. It really is a powerfully good arrangement, one of Geoff's real triumphs (he has *quite* a few of those). He's so good at (among other things) adding drive and movement to songs, and the feel of a ship riding the waves is brilliantly maintained throughout the entire piece.
Wonderful reaction. "Who put that word in a song?" Hans Zimmer. This video probably has the most hilarious reactions and trail of broken reactors of any...ever.
Thanks for your reaction! As the other Voice Players have said in the comments this one is from Disney's "Pirates Of The Caribbean". Their "Little Mermaid Medley" is also stunning and their Viking themed "Valhalla Calling" is epic! Rick Underwood, their long time friend and makeup artist from back in the days when they worked as performers in the "Beetlejuice Rock&Roll Graveyard Review" and the annual 'Halloween Horror Nights' at Universal theme park does the intricate makeup for Voice Play.
One of my favourite VoicePlay arrangements, hearing Eli really let lose was brilliant and it is always fun to watch people react and nearly fall off their chairs to Geoff's voice....deeper than the Mariana Trench.
The way that they bring the swells and waves of the ocean into the musicality is AMAZING! It can almost make a person seasick. Between 20 fathoms of Geoff and Rockstar Eli, it makes me want to be a pirate!!! Then Geoff does ... THAT! Climbs into the crowsnest for that note and drops below decks.
Rick Underwood does his makeup magic on the guys. He is a friend of theirs from Universal Studios theme park. The rest they did themselves sets, props, costumes, lighting, arrangement, and editing. They do it all. I love watching how they do all this in the patron BTS videos.
While you were practically speechless at the end, this song broke several reactors. They literally got up and walked away, then came back to finish it. And one of them forgot he wasn’t wearing pants when he got up! There’s a video of another reactor reacting to his reaction, and one of another reactor reacting to that reaction to the reaction, and I think the original reactor reacting to others reacting to him.
If you go below the vid on your computer it tells who on voice play arrangement lighty make up and they pretty much have there own studio that part of ehat makes them so awsome
Voiceplay was the best rabbithole I fell into, they never fail to impress me. Each member has their own strength and together they make each others better
Hi Red, Geoff Castellucci is the bass singer for Voice Play. Now while I'm not really a fan, I am a huge fan of Geoff Castellucci! Please react to 16 Tons, Ain't No Sunshine When She's Gone, House Of The Rising Sun, and Misty Mountains! Thank You, hope you're well!
Yes! You are becoming one of my favourite reactors for VP and Geoff, love watching them shock and surprise you, like they did me when I first discovered them a few years ago! This one was one of the best they'd done (until the next one, of course!) - they just keep moving that bar higher every time! ❤
The other thing that makes the line “can you hear its sepulchral tone” special is that it’s the only line sung in a major key. The rest of the song is sung in a minor key, making it sound melancholy. But that line is the only one that conveys hope
You paused on one of my favorite VoicePlay phrases (from ANY song)... "Can't you hear its sepulchral tone..." Between the words and the harmonies in that phrase, I used to shiver... but now I'm used to it, so I simply smile. GREAT line lyrically and musically! VoicePlay didn't write the lyrics (it's a cover from Pirates of the Carribean), but the arrangement is ALL VoicePlay! I'd say that if you have a smile on your face with your jaw hanging a little open, and your eyes kind of glazed... at the very end... I'd say you kinda LIKED it!!! Great reaction my friend!
And then Jose does the 'up and down' of the sepulchral tone, you watch his fingers as he goes up and down just after that line and you can hear him do it
_"Now some men have died, and some are alive, and others sail on the sea."_ That line always gets me. Like, usually we only think about those first two categories. Not in a spooky _Pirates_ movie, though.... 🏴☠
Subscribed! Your reaction during the back half of this song was pretty much identical to mine when I first heard it: I was almost out of breath and didn't realize it until after the song was over. This was a masterpiece, Geoff really nailed the arrangement. If I were to make a suggestion for another reaction, I would say "Valhalla Calling." I'd also recommend "Jack's Lament" from Geoff's channel: it's from The Nightmare Before Christmas. I've never seen it, but that does not take away from his performance. Great stuff, thanks Red!
I do binge watch VoicePlay and Geoff, they are my passion since I found them. I do sometimews watch other things but this is what I mostly watch now, including watching reactions to them. It's fun to share the pleasure. :) They do hire a makeup artist for some videos. This song was written for the movie Pirates of the Caribbean : At Worlds End. I don't know who wrote it. If you get round to watching their latest video of The Lion Sleeps Tonight you'll see them in a totally different light. It's the most fun thing they've ever done. Proving that they can cover anything.
once again.....absolutely wonderful reaction young lady! Thank you so much!! this one is one of my personal favorites!!....its great fun seeing you discover material like this for the first time!! Keep em coming lol!!!
It is time for you to check out their new one. "Lion Sleeps Tonight" cover. It is hilarious, lot of fun watching and seeing cgi animals in the back ground dancing to the music, or just walking around. And the song and voices are as usual fantastic. It's one of my favorite songs growing back in the 1960's.
And the whole thing (Lion) was filmed in the mall using an iPhone! They also covered this back before they were VoicePlay . Back in 1997 they issued their first album as 4:2Five, just out of high school. It’s on their album Time Machine. I wouldn’t have believed that they could’ve done it without earls trademark laser tenor, but between Eli and two baritones, they did a great job and made a hilarious video. J is really showing off his falsetto even though he’s been recast as a bass in the Navy.
If you really like this one, you need to view this Home Free original that they wrote and sang Skull and Bones.#SeaShanty #SkullandBones #homefree . Video game company hired them to write a song for their new video game Skull and Bones. Chance wrote it and they did an amazing job. Also you should take the time to listen to their Sea Shanty Melody LIVE and see that they sound just as good if not better life than their studio videos
According to Spotify, I listened to this song over 43,500 times last year. Or maybe it was 45,300. I sleep to this song on repeat. But the video still gives me goosebumps! This was my favorite song by them, until "Valhalla Calling" (which I listen to every other day on repeat for hours) came out. Now it's solidly in second place. So far.
Hi love seeing people react to voice play I have a strong recommendation for you to watch their take on wicked it’s one of my favourite covers they have done
This was such a rich yet light vocal performance with the high-range vocals. They are the best at theatrics for sure !! Home Free had Skull and Bones which they have done for an upcoming Pirate video game of the same name. They Also, do Sea Shanty Medley both are really good !! If you do the Home Free ones I am looking forward to seeing an eyepatch on ya !!🚣♂🚣♂🚣♂🚣♂ #voiceplayreaction #voiceplay #reaction #voiceplayreaction #voiceplay #reaction #redheadedneighbor

VoicePlay is amazing , you can't go wrong with any of their songs , truly a melding of awesome talents into one incredible group !
