I think mor ve ötesi is the best rock band in Turkey.Each member is very talented but especially the guitarist,Kerem Ožyeğen ist from another world.One of the most charismatic gutarists world wide.I also don't always get the lyrics since I am Greek and not fluent in Turkish yet but I enjoy most of their songs.I also like MaNga's older stuff.You could check more of their songs when you have the time.

I was in Mor ve Ötesi concerts several times and I can say that they are perfect on live, but maybe it can be boring for many people because they play just as in their recordings with zero fault :)
This song was released in 2004 by the "Dünya Yalan Söylüyor" album. One of my friend, just figured out that, there are some similarities on the intro of the song with the Finnish band Amorphis' song "Alone" which was released three years before it. We seriously listened those two intros many times and discussed a lot. Finally we played the both at the same time. Bingo! They were fitting perfectly! Maybe it was just a coincidence or maybe Mor ve Ötesi really inspired from it. But I am sure that, Mor ve Ötesi guys were listening that Finnish band.
Now when I’m thinking 🤔 that intro sounded familiar. Out of curiosity I need to listen to that song “Alone” everyone knows Amorphis in Finland. Thanks for watching 😊
This is their most popular song but they have a lot more interesting ones. I would recommend the following to get a broader idea of the band:

hello brother. This song is like the second National Anthem of the Turkish Nation. I think everyone knows his words by heart. I think the reason why this song is so popular in my country is because the Turkish Nation is extremely fed up with and hates the Arabic throat-tune that makes people sick when they listen to it. That's why the "flat sound" you mentioned had such an impact on everyone who listened to this song in my country. There were many bands that performed this kind of soft rock music, but in all of them, that damn Arabic throat definitely showed itself, they made "arabesque" music with guitar accompaniment and they did not last long. And it was very good. I'm glad they're gone. This and similar ''flat sound''; It is now the beginning of the transition from the damn Arabic voice to modern melodies in Turkey. A similar effect was experienced in the 90s, when the first Turkish rap music entered the country. The name of the group that did this was CARTEL. There was chaos in the country, CARTEL was playing in all the cars, you could understand it while walking on the pavement :) Those who couldn't think about the truth thought that "oh, Turks loved rap music so much." However, the biggest reason was the emergence of a different style of music from the damn Arab throat that I mentioned above. The youth of the country loves and listens to all kinds of music other than Arabic, thank God :)
