Yes I am on the fence on starting our garden for spring, we have not yet found someone to build on our land for a decent price. It's crazy expensive. We did get our fencing done but are still on our 5 acres so it may be that I have my garden here again. It is up in the air at this particular point.....Glad Pop is doing well. Will pray for Greg!
I live just northwest of you all between Mansfield and Rendon, and we have yet to have a “killing freeze” I still have green basil and impatients blooming in my planters out in my yard. We got a good 1 inch rain this morning. May God’s richest blessing be on you and your family in this coming new year.🙏🏻

Turkey soup sounds good! I reserved the remains of our Thanksgiving turkey in the freezer to haul it out for just that purpose. I need one day OFF from cooking, however. I made enough yesterday for a full left-overs repeat of Christmas dinner, lol!! Loved your holiday photos! Happy New Year!
Hey Jill, Happy belated Christmas. I am so surprised, I still have tomatoes, bell peppers, carrots, jalapenos, etc. growing. I don't have a green house, it's just a small area with a canopy pop up frame and shade cloth on top, and it's on the southside of the house, which probably helps as well.. I need to try and get out today and see what needs to be picked. I had a small cherry tomato the other day and it was so good. I love the taste of homegrown tomatoes.

I know it is incredible that we still have things growing on the outside as well. That may change second week of January.
