This is probably the best teachable video to date. I hope you can do more of these.
All videos show you how-to but not why not to. This showed me how a failed result could’ve happened!
Thank you so much for this type of video! Please do more!

Nice tips! Especially about cleaning the brush. That explains why i have issues getting the color on and having to work so hard at it. I get frustrated and then think ink blending isn't for me.

Great tips, Lou! I have avoided watercolour paper for blending, but might have to give it a try. I usually stamp on top of my blending and haven't always had success stamping on watercolour paper, so I will need to work on that, too. 😊

I noticed that the color was slightly different when you use the watercolor paper and seedless preserves - is that the norm based on paper gsm or texture?

Thanks for this vid! How often do you clean the brushes with soap and water? In between the soap cleanings how do you "clean" them so they don't get gunked up with the ink? I found that to be my prob even after washing them thoroughly. I watched your previous vid about ways to wash them too. Even after washing I just can't get them to work for me ;(

I heard a tip from one of the ladies at pink fresh. They spray a little isopropyl alcohol on a microfibre cloth and scrub them on the cloth. As it's alcohol it's dry almost immediately. I only clean my brushes this way now and it works brilliantly

I’ve found some are just better quality than others and clean up and blend better. These ones seem to be some of the best for me x

Also I use fabric softener in my final rinse…this is for oxide only though… I find the other inks clean up with morning fresh dish detergent.

This was really helpful! When using blending brushes, is it ok to use the same brush for distress inks and distress oxides or do I need two separate brushes?

    • @LouCollins
