If you put two sheets in the embossing folder at once you can print both sides, saves a bit of time, you can also use a brayer if you have one. Nice straightforward demo.
Oh WOW!, I love them all, but if I have to choose a couple faves, I choose the wood grain, and the crumpled paper. Those two would work very well for masculine cards, and I make tons of those for my family! TFS! I love your two colors of distress oxides. Distress Oxides are my favorite inks, although I have lots of other brands. I even use them for stamping sentiments. Distress Oxides are just so versatile, and there are SO many techniques that can be done with them!A couple other Distress Oxide inks I might try are: Vintage Photo and a green, such as Rustic Wilderness.
The scrunched up and woodgrain are my faves although I am intrigued by the ombre butterfly paper too. Purple and blue or purple and bright pinks are my favorite combinations. Going to do this tomorrow I think. TY.
I love your videos ❤ You used my favorite color combination today. And you showed so many creative ways for using oxide inks and making cool backgrounds! Thanks for the inspiration!❤
Wow what an amazing super quick video with tonnes of brilliant content,I love quick videos as time is short All of them are great you’re an incredibly talented teacher ❤thank you for sharing your knowledge
What a terrific video Lou. Gorgeous papers created by using so many different things already in your stash. Absolutely love the colours you used. Thanks so much once again for an amazing tutorial. 🥰
Wow Lou, these are so amazing. I think I especially would like to try the scrunched up one with reds and pinks ... perhaps a nice Valentine background. Thanks so much. ❤ 🇨🇦 😊
Fabulous ideas!! Really liked the stencil and it’s negative, as well as the butterfly stamped. I think I will try this with some sage green combos!🧑🏼🎨
Fantastic tutorial, Lou. I have the Gel plate but not been brave enough to try it yet. These techniques are the perfect reason to have a go. Thank you, lovely. X
Great ideas. I do like the scrunched up texture one. Have done this a few times for mens cards. Like all the others too and think ill try some using tattered rose and scorched timber... or a grey and yellow mix. Thanks Lou x
I love these papers, Lou! If you don't have a cardstock that you need, just create your own. Coordinating colors to match your project is wonderful. These turned out really nice. I'm just wondering if you have ever created your own patterned cardstock by stamping different images all over the page? I've seen some beautiful results.
I’ve embossing folders I barely use because of getting big shot out of….im getting inks out tomorrow and use misting as I’ve plenty of oxide inks thank you xxx
Love them all. I love your colours too. Such a great idea to use the same colours but with different patterns to build a selection of papers to use together. So much nicer than bought papers where you only like a few and end up wasting the rest. May I ask LOU, WHAT PAPER DO YOU USE
This is a great way to get a heap of different papers for a journal! Could you please tell me the name of the embossing folder it is gorgeous? thank you
Great ideas! I am wondering if your craft table is wood or is that a pad on it. I just bought a white craft table and need to cover it as it is textured. Thanks!
If you would like to use these as paper (folding etc) then no more than 190gsm. If you are just going to mat and layer with them then you can use anything up to heavyweight cardstock. If using water and ink best to keep above the 190gsm weight though x

I am wondering if your craft table is wood or is that a pad on it.
I just bought a white craft table and need to cover it as it is textured.
Thanks!
I have a self healing craft mat (a really big one) and this is covered with adhesive vinyl, the sort people cover kitchen countertops in x
Love the variety of techniques. Went in search of your embossing folder. Do you know if it is no longer available?
Let me check for you x
Great ideas! What weight paper do you recommend?
If you would like to use these as paper (folding etc) then no more than 190gsm. If you are just going to mat and layer with them then you can use anything up to heavyweight cardstock. If using water and ink best to keep above the 190gsm weight though x
@@LouCollins thank you so much!
Are you using printer paper or a heavier weight?
NIce
Crinkle with brown paper bag?
