Always such a pleasure to watch you work, sir. You have such an amazing talent, well done!! Thank you for sharing your behind the scenes adventure, so peaceful and relaxing. Looking forward towards you next video and piece or art!! Stay safe and be well!
👋Hi Richard, wonderful continuation of yesterday's video and previous events - no matter when it is presented and in what order, we keep watching. Yes, the large painting is excellent, but the smaller snapshots are just as good. Gorgeous colors, pure nature and a hearty meal, this is the way to live and work. What do we say about this ? Fantastic !👍❤
3 for 1. Great video! For me is pleasure to watch the reference landscape that you’re painting, by watching those colors that you translate them with paint. Thanks for sharing the beautiful Outback’s perspective.
Definitely living the dream Richard; camping, bushcraft, campfires and painting our beautiful landscape. Love your passion and talents. I am just starting my own painting of Mount Sonder from my hike of the Larapinta trail in May. I have a different style to you but I hope my passion for the country shines like yours does.
G'day Richard, always enjoy the behind the scenes video of meal preparation and painting. It looks a great lifestyle mate, well done on living the dream, cheers Rich
Great video Richard! Your road trips are always so enjoyable and how fulfilling it must be to follow your passion full time! Also, I admire you for getting up in the cold to paint the beautiful morning light, it is a beautiful little painting (as are the other two). You set a great example of discipline and skill!
THANK YOU for sharing your process! I actually watch your videos EVERY single night until I fall asleep, LOL! I love hearing the pallet knife on the canvas! I love hearing the mixing and feel I am absorbing your inspiration as you call out the colors you mix and now I should add COOKING to that list! Amazing sounds and beautiful scenery! 💝 Yes, I posted this on another one of your videos tonight but it deserves saying again! I look forward to you doing an online course! Would you or have you ever considered doing that? I would be first in line to sign up!
Hi Richard! Good morning from Texas USA! It's early morn here in the states and not a better thing to do than sip on some ice coffee and watch an Australian outdoor excursion and the making of another beautiful masterpiece. I bet those veggies over that campfire is delish! I always look to buy one of those French easels but there are so many out there and I never can decide which one. Any suggestions? I also love your camp set up. I adore the coastlines and that would be a great campfire on a crisp cool night on a stretch of beach overlooking the moonlit ocean. If you go far enough down coast, you can see the milky way and so many stars. Anyway, loved watching, absolutely beautiful painting! And love that cold morning sunrise painting!! How cold is it there? lol, how to paint so pretty in that cold? I would be dropping my pallet knife! :)
Really enjoyed that Richard, looks great to be able to set up camp and light a fire to cook, unfortunately we're pretty restricted here in England but they haven't made any rules about plein air painting YET! 🤣 Some great work there as usual, lovely stuff. Look forward to your next video.
I still follow you out on those dusty plains of Australia. I really like when you boil your Billy for a cup of tea. My uncle John Leonard left Ireland in 1950, he travelled all over Australia as a diamond driller. Sometimes when I see the vast plains you paint I wonder are his footprints near where you are. I live in Ireland and I have a small framing shop, I’m very interested in art and in particular how you go about your work. This brings me to another artist. His name is Christian Jacquel, a french man from Provence in the south of France. I watched him paint a seascape somewhere on the Mediterranean. His pallet is as interesting and as beautiful as his paintings. I saw him take some scabs of dry paint from his pallet and with the dry paint he created the shore and the land where it meets the sea. It was brilliant and the end result was magnificent. Thought you might like my thoughts. Good luck for the future. John Leonard
Richard your work is giving you a lot of satistaction, because your skill and your humility, they support you and make you heppy....good work then!!!! Always!!! Ciao 👍🎨😘
Morning Richard from South Africa .Love your work and video presentation and your camping. You are an inspiration. Keep on putting your love for nature on canvas. Hope we see you here in S A for painting the Karoo , Kalahari , Eastern Free State , Westcoast and my most beloved Kruger National Park
That was pretty cool. A day in the outback. Brilliant and very enjoyable. Good to see you look after yourself out there. That's good. Must be tough going back to the city... haha, Bill NZ
Amazing how cold it gets out there...frosted Windshield! But a nice Cup of Tea always helps against the cold. There are some very paintable Rockformations around there too. The Paintings look great. Seems to be good Spot to paint.
Campfire thoughts Red ground and sand A painter explores Isolaton of the land His thoughts and more Vistas await Shimmering colors at dawn Not a moment to late Otherwise the moment is gone Walking the outback No wind to feel All in his carring pack And an early morning chill Food from a tri The flames aglow Darkning of the ski Thoughts unfold Campfire thoughts A painter's soliloquy Hiking and short walks And nature's Majesty
I have a question. When finished with the palette knife painting, can the blenting be made with a brush ? Is there a difference between blending with a brush or with a palette knife ?
I was led to understand some time ago that almond milk was one on the worst ecological disasters mankind is currently perpetuating? It is a major cause of bee deaths, or has that problem since been solved? I was led to understand it was not very ethical to support the continued growth of the almond industry due to its consequential destruction of the honey bee. Am I to be encouraged into thinking this may no longer be the case...? Lovely spot you found this time. Thanks for sharing it.

All right now Richard !!! Come on . Do you make decisions about putting out these video's ??? Really??? Come on now. I think maybe you've got a new "main squeeze" as they say. You know ~ Someone who says. "Gonna be trying a little different marketing and you can not complain." Your editor. I don't know. I guess I'm a little overwhelmed. That great Tree. But then the sunset, the sunrise, your cooking pot collection, your timed work. It would be really cool if you had a stopwatch going for those first moments. You could promote a "15 minute painting tidy". So for every effort, time for 15 minutes and see what you can get done. There's more going on here. Hmmm. I know some people in Portsmouth NH ~ has gotten to be millionaire row. Lots of galleries doing well. I am not in a place where I can talk about sort of you know, that question ~. "how much $." ? Those (kind of) smaller paintings are what you run into in Portsmouth tho. Anyway. Marketing. What comes to mind for me. But on You Tube. Just post some "15 minute" timed paintings. To damn what people think. A really bad ass approach toward getting it in place and showing off your skills. Heck. Add five minutes. Call it something. "A Twenty Minute Olympic Sprint." But with a stop watch right there. Whatever ~~~ Boo yea!!! Whoo Wee. Thank you for sharing all that you do. Just great. ~~~ New Hampshire.
I really enjoy watching your life style and your artwork

I have a question. When finished with the palette knife painting, can the blenting be made with a brush ? Is there a difference between blending with a brush or with a palette knife ?
Yes, a brush gives a softer look!
