Thank you for this reaction, John! For me, the last image is a commentary on how life is. The artist mostly puts his heart and soul into their creation but once they put it out there, the audience can either value it or treat it as just a background to their immediate activity. Our Namjoon is deep, deep. His whole album is so multi-layered and accepting of whatever meaning we wish to assign.
I always wait through the credits. I think it was just the way I was brought up. Mum always waited - and read - the credits. She said so many people had worked had to make the movie, and the deserve recognition and respect. And it was always fun when you recognized a name you recognized from other movies.
By the same token, I always sit through game credits. And I often feel happy when I recognize the names of the people who worked on things.
Now a lot of movies are following Marvel's lead, and having scenes hidden in the credits. And, of course, Jackie Chan always had, in essence, a blooper reel during the credits. I think even the Lethel Weapon movies had out takes, and behind the scenes photos during the credits.
I always look at it as they are part of the movie. It doesn't actually finish until the screen goes black.
I once attended a special screening of a movie I can no longer remember and was told not to get up during the credits because it’s disrespectful to the staff and filmmakers, but now it’s become a habit to let the credits finish.
I always stay for credits, read everything, enjoy tge closing soundtrack....also the MV and song is asking people if they truly appreciate all that a person does further, all the hard work that goes on " behind the scenes" in a relationship do u notice, or do u just taje it fir granted and not even realize what/ who really matters us in front of you( RM).
RM is brillant in so many ways. This song/MV are simple but not really. I agree with you the MV gets the message across so well. This album like Indigo gets better with each listen. Thank you for reacting.
I am non kpop, but I admire this man so much, I think nobody in kpop has this much brilliant thought just like this man namjoon.. Just admired him a lot, day by day became a fan of him
I love they are dining while he is on the screen singing the credits rolls. I watch them, because in life we need to recognize and honor those who have had great in put in our lives.
I also didn’t expect a MV for Credit Roll but this album has honestly been the gift that keeps on giving 😭 maybe we’ll even get something for the Interlude at this point
For me it depends on the movie honestly and if I like the end credits song I definitely stay. Like I remember in the movie "Venom" I stayed because the song was by Eminem who happens to be my favorite rapper 😁
I really like what RM did here though it's my first time seeing an artist address something like that and make a song about it, but then again BTS have always been different and unique with their concepts.
A group that have hilarious credits is Dirty Loops. This almost sounds "Zappaesque".
that's the simplest set yet so on point! I got exactly what you described!!!!! it's like everyone watches the whole show, when the credit rolls, people look/walk away, the screen's still on but no one pays attention to it. Also, it's so real, the audiences included all skin colours, males/females, and different ages - that's ARMY from all different backgrounds!!
He’s the background he n others loves but for front of Army’s minds. It’s a mind blowing concept that’s very meta.
So I looked at the time of the video and laughed and thought how's he gonna draw that out to almost 5 whole minutes!! It is totally RM! Spoilers in the credits and in older stuff actors in small parts I went to school with. 🤣🤣🤣
I always wanted to stay until the credits finish, but sometimes my family or my friend don't have a patience during the credits roll, they want to get out quickly..
You know that sometimes the movie give us a bonus scene at the end of the credits..
