Growing oxalis bulbs how to plant is super easy. butterfly plant we are growing since last year & the starting was so amazing with one bulb that I borrow from a sister who use to do a balcony gardening. This plant has lot of names as Oxalis triangularis or Purple Shamrock or Butterfly plant. Oxalis plant care is easy if you are known which place the plant should keep & when it needs watering.
My first shamrock plant (Oxalis bulbs to plant ) leaves curling was a big issue which I found the reason for keeping it under direct sunlight for 4 to 5 hours in every day. oxalis plant varieties & an oxalis plant only can survive grow well in shades area where indirect sunlight’s comes. “Very carefully remove bulb” proceeds to smack that poor wilted stem around 🤣🤣🤦🏽‍♀️ I said “AAAH!” And scared my husband. Nice video I like it! Great job! ☺️

Also question! Does Oxalis like rocky soil like this? I have bulbs coming in the mail. Purple and green varieties. I’m excited since we don’t get many shamrocks or bulbs for sale up here in Alaska. I’ve wanted one for years. I figure if I can care for an orchid I can probably manage a shamrock.

@@akhoneybee9076 ha ha sounds interesting your stories with your hubby. Ah yes I do use rocky soil as the bulbs easy to remove sometimes.

Thank you so much! My boyfriend's grandma gave him an oxalis. She's no longer with us and the plant is suddenly sick, so I was looking exactly for this kind of content. I don't want his grandma's plant to die or to disappear. Thank you!

They do go into dormancy, even if it looks like it's dead - don't throw it away, it might spring back to life after its rested!

The plant may be going dormant especially if it’s an older plant. A lot of people throw it away thinking it died when it just went into dormancy

@@rushiaj1222 we discovered the problem! There were some parasites eating the plant but we didn't notice until it almost died. Thankfully, now she's safe again xD

A couple of years ago I was amending my potting soil w/ compost in a very large pot. I decided to divide my 4 yr old purple shamrock n did so over my potting mix. . I now have shamrocks showing up in my coral bell, lavender even hanging baskets. Wish you could take what I'm trying to take out.
Loved your video . Concerned about the looks of your potting mix. Looks a little like concrete mix. Worthy video
    Thank you again
