I would not wear a bra, because I figured "Hey, boys don't have to wear bras, so I won't either." Now I can't go anywhere without feeling uncomfortable if im not wearing one. I don't think I need a binder yet, but I would probably feel more comfortable. Also, I relate to the hugging thing. Have a good day!
yeah I feel you. try finding a good sports bra, they’re compressing but more comfortable and easier to get your parents to be okay with :)

We have a lot in common. I'm 5'3 and have a naturally large chest because of my unfortunate genes. I can't bind for long because I'm severely asthmatic. Even when I bind I get bad dysphoria because no binder can compress my chest enough for me to pass as well as I want to. I've had countless breakdowns over chest dysphoria alone. Then there's my voice, hips and the shape of my face. I'm 16 and I've not been able to start T yet but have an appointment coming up at the gender clinic. Honestly living for the day I can take hormones and eventually get surgery

I had those nightmares too. Internet hugs!! I don't have the money to get rid of my chesticles. I'm huge also, I'm 5' 2" was a 32 DDD. They only gave me a REDUCTION, not complete removal because my insurance didn't cover it. I would give ANYTHING to get it all gone 34 DD now since.i gained more weight, I NEED THEM GONE. I hope you can get what I can't! Please enjoy it for me if you get that far!!!!

Love the MCR flag. This was a really insightful video. I also had bra nightmares OMG! I had a dream that one was chasing me and like dragging my chest down into like this sinking pit! I also used to wear 2 sports bras that were a size too small. I was also a large C/small D and I have asthma. The binding struggle was real. I had migraines and bruising and it was the worst. I went to see Fall Out Boy while binding and felt like I was gonna die and then saw Maraiana's Trench and almost fainted. I am almost a year post op and it has been the most freeing part of my transition. Happy it's "off mah chest" (sorry had to). Hugging is much better now :) -Thumb
I feel you about the bra thing. I’m 15 and I got top surgery three days ago, but when I was 5th-7th grade, I would refuse to wear a bra and I hated my chest and would wear clothes that made my chest look flat. When I was in between 7th-8th I tried to be more “normal” and wear a bra but when I realized I was trans in the beginning of 8th I bound my chest ever since. Right now I’m about to be a sophomore for comparison

You absolutely could :) check out Celeste M, they went on T for a few months and then stopped T, and they got top surgery two months ago!!

Have you been thinking about bottom surgery? Or at least getting something to stop a period?
I’m not comfy with the current procedures for bottom surgery, and I’m not all that dysphoric about my genitals in the first place, so no on that. T is supposed to stop my period it just hasn’t yet.

How long did it take you once you found a surgeon? I’m planning on top surgery when I’m 17 and I heard some people say it takes 0.5-1 years I can not wait untill I’m 18 so should I start the process now? Or is it okay to wait untill 4 ish months before my bday?

it really depends on your surgeon and how long their waiting list is. that’s definitely smth most offices should be able to answer if you can call them!

I'm not trans, but i don't want boobs either. They are just uncomfortable and i hate wearing a braw. Not getting surgery, but hopefylly losing some weight would make them smaller where i can just go out without a braw.

I live in Florida and have state insurance and _surprise surprise_ because its the south it doesn't cover top surgery. Hormones, but not surgery.
We're lucky to even have that.
And the only surgeons in Florida who perform surgeries on minors don't take insurance period. Kill me.

..my chest is still growing but it's not that fast. I am pretty sure when I NOTICED my chest getting bigger was when I needed extra padding to feel comfortable in a sports bra.
