Fareed is a great guy in verballising his masters voice.
Ideal guy to emulate in terms of understanding the art of valuation. Specially how to do it if you want to sell your soul

Fareed is an eternal optimist and always spins am American exceptionalism mantra. He bats for his legacy and an ultimate secretary of state or a supreme court or such nominations But he is quick to also command India to stop Russian bandwagon and bat America.

The conversation is between equals . Worth a listen . Great how Fareed is called out and held down. You guy , go go !! Fareed the world was watching how the US sl depart from Afghanistan recently . It took a huge investment by the US to build what FZ glibly calls a Chini client state:Pak . Add Srilankka Nepal Bhutan speaking chinese.

1 year ago I would completely have agreed with you fareed, but the israel gaza conflict has completely shaken my long standing confidence in the rules based international order , watching countries, including officials of the united states upto and including the president twisting themselves into pretzels in order to justify what is going on has been particularly unedifying ,however I'm still not a fan of the nk,chn, rus,ir axis so no worries there ...but the whole situation is sad ..

Exactly, kinda surprised to see a so-called expert analyst missing this.
And he's still getting away with how Russian economy is doing badly due to sanctions...but, his tone has changed quite a bit over the years.

Everybody took the European ideas, Arab Ba'ath parties, Bengal Hindu reform, Ata Turk, Rabindranath Tagore, Chinese Mao in France, Muslim Spain...
But research it, they selectively solved some BLOOD flowing problems (example the rule of law), not the everything.
Working models (technology) was just a necessity.
Even Before Christ, Mauriyan kings said to then Old Persian (not the Aryans or Iranians) Zoroastrians, "do not proselytize us, we allow you only on this condition". But the Education & scholarship of debates indeed created the "Aryan (teacher) or Iranian at the borders of Afghanistan, Tajikistan", slightly TILTED towards the Persian understanding (Artha, Sanskrit: अर्थ; Pali: Attha) called the #Sanskrit.
But all the way the original understandings also embeded in the multiple meanings of the word.

Fareed should be the Secretary of State for the USA. I agree with most of his statements except when he said India should not follow a multi-aligned foreign policy. The world is becoming multipolar. The world economy is now split. The US and its allies ( G7) are no longer dominant. As of 2023, the total GDP of the G7 was 29% of the total output of the world. The output of BRICS was 33%. The BRICS are already a bigger economic unit than G7 and the GAP is getting bigger.
One more reason for India to follow a multi-aligned foreign policy is India's domestic issues like Kashmir separatism and the Khalistani issue. The USA and other Five Eyes countries are not going to support India under the name of "Human Rights". They don't care much about the integrity of India.
