You should be proud that you haven't played Fortnite, I have only played it for an hour or so and will never touch that game again. And you HAVE to play Horizon Zero Dawn, the complete edition is pretty cheap is like 20$ and the game plus the DLC are incredible
It was good in a gameplay sense but the story is just pushing a women are strong agenda. The main character is pretty dry and voice acting isnt that great.
I had never played a single MGS game until last month, the very 1st one for the PS1, and I've gotta say that it really blew my mind. Despite how old the game is and the exposure I've had to many games in my life that blew the expectations of gamers of what a game can do, I was really impressed of far ahead of its time Metal Gear Solid 1 was in terms of thinking outside of the box, especially for a console that was very limited in terms of graphics and length of what a PS1 game was generally seen as. I definitely regret not playing the series when they first came out.
The amazing thing about MGS1 is that while it has aged, the ideas behind it remain compelling. The idea of stealth, of sneaking in to an enemy stronghold, of psycho mantis, of breaking free of your genes, of anti-nukes(I could go on..), the ideas remain as Solid as ever and as a result, the game has aged pretty well, I think. The only part I can't stand is when you fight Sniper Wolf.
You aren't alone, I've also never played Skyrim and despite how amazing it looks and everyone's rave reviews about it...I just don't want to play it. *shrug*

Meh, that's ok, i haven't played any Metal Gear except the first, nor any GTA, CoD, Halflife, Portal, or Bioshock. Edit: also, no "Soulsborne" either, nor Minecraft or Guitar Hero. Also, i'm not ashamed about that. Why should i be?
I'm ashamed to admit that I generally avoid horror games, like I've tried Outlast, but after about 9 hours of running and hiding under beds (the game usually takes about 5 hours) I had to give up, I played the Resident Evil VII: Biohazard demo, and nearly soiled myself in the first twenty seconds (and nothing actually happened). I'm ashamed to admit that the scariest game I've actually finished is Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, and it's not even a horror...
im not a fan of RE7 tbh ... RE4 is probably my favorite. until dawn is a good horror game, its more like an interactive story though, but its still fun. not super scary either, the story is pretty intriguing actually. its only for ps4 tho if you dont have one idk lol
I love This Channel. Seriously, i have seen all of their videos twice and they actually put effort in editing a video. They take time and think about how can we make it fun for the viewer. Gamers who had thoughts and experiences on games. But the game that I haven’t played and i never heard the end of people tell me about this one. but i never played Batman : Arkham Asylum. I never actually got around to it but i have played Arkham City. I don’t know if i might go back and play it.
Hollie, I'm right there with you. I also play games to relax and have fun, not to feel harrowed and powerless. I have _not_ bothered with any of the Soulsborne games. I also haven't played Halflife 2, mostly because I didn't have a device capable of running it back when it made sense to play it.
You should try them. Not for anything other than for yourself because you won't find the sense of achievement anywhere else in games, and it'll kinda spoil other games for you. I finished them all, and I play games on easy first chance I get. It's also a game I'm surprised Rob hasn't finished since his whole MO is over levelling and that's the secret to any difficulty spike in the game. Once the game clicks with you, it's an amazing experience that can't be felt watching others play it.
I never got to play Kingdom Hearts unfortunately. I got my PS2 extremely late into it's lifecycle and by the time I realized what Kingdom Hearts was it was too late to go back. Hopefully I'll get to play it someday...
I've never played any of the Half life games, any of the Portals, I've only played Halo 3 and Reach of the Halo franchise. MGSV has so far been the only Kojima game I've played. And tons more of iconic games...
I never played Halo, until I was given an XBOX 360 recently and a copy of Halo 4. Played about 2 hours of it and thought it was not very good. Also never played PUBG or Fortnight. It's going to stay that way too.
Same, never been a major fan of most first person shooters but Halo and a few others are on my list. I've got the Master Chief Collection installed on my Xbox One, haven't played it yet though.
I’ve never played the last of us. I have the PS4 remaster on the shelf, still sealed, but I’ve just never found myself wanting to play it. I’ll definitely fix that before Part II. 🙈
Lol. I watched a video of the entire story on RUclips and was really interested in it so I thought I should buy it and try it out myself. I got about an hour or two into the game and it has been about two years since I last played it.
Now I want a series on this channel where Hollie plays through the Dark Souls series and Bloodborne. Those games are fantastic and I love her commentary; I think it'd be great.
Skyrim. I've just never gotten around to it. I booted it up once, got part way through the cart ride, had to stop for something else, and have never been back. I hope to get there one day.
You must at least try it. I didn't even know what The Witcher was. But I bought Witcher 3 because of all the praise and critical acclaim it was receiving. It is now one of my most played/favourite games of all time.
I've attempted to complete it three times, everytime has ended with boredom. You really aren't missing out, it's nothing like the game people make it out to be. I even tried on death march because I heard it was a challenge, more lies. The biggest difference is that your health doesn't regen on meditation but that's offset by the insane amounts of alcohol you get for potions. The rpg elements are also weak, the combat isn't as good as it looks. Gwent os the best part of the game but even that's not amazing. The world isn't great to explore like everyone says and that's my favourite thing to do in open world games. That said it's certainly not a bad game but it's nothing special. I'd rate it 6/10 max 7/10. I tried my hardest to find this masterpiece I was told about but I was always left wanting.
Brilliant i was the same, but eventually I bought the game pack of all of them. It took a while until I played them but the first one I just fell in love with, so yeah definitely give it a go when you get the opportunity

I completely agree with Rob, pride is different to arrogance - if a game acts as though it knows it's good then it just takes the shine off the apple for me and I end up not enjoying it as much as I would have I had I discovered the brilliance for myself

I've never played any GTA, COD, Battlefield, Minecraft, Fortnite, PUBG, Soulsbourne, Zelda, Hitman, Splinter Cell, PES, FIFA, Madden, Street Fighter, Forza or Dragon Quest. I've played a combined total of a few hours on one title each from the Assassin's Creed and Halo series. Can't say I'm really 'ashamed' of any of these omissions, though.
Kingdom hearts for me. I love the characters, I love Disney, I love the FF universe, but I have never touch a K.H game :/ (I watched 365/2 tho). maybe I’ll change that with the hd bundle and 3 coming but for now that is my shame.

I'm ashamed to say that I've never played Dead Space, I was too young when the PS3 came out to buy games, only got money on my birthday or Christmas, I was only 11 when Dead Space came out, and our PS3 died like 5 years ago, so I may never get to play.
So many games that I haven’t played, but the one that stands out is Witcher 3 because I have it sitting on my shelf, just never played it. I got to that part in the VERY start where you track down a witch and quest with her a bit, now I am killing stuff in a poisonous room and I have to stay in a bubble, then I put it down. I’m still trapped in the room.
The holy trinity. I've basically never fully played through any Mario, Legend Of Zelda, or Pokemon game. I've played a bunch of Mariokart Wii and 8, quite a bit of New Super Mario, the start of OOT, and maybe half of a few Pokemon games, but I've always had Playstation consoles, so any Nintendo games were played at friends houses.
I only manged a bit of half life 2 before I had to stop I kept throwing up. Heck the first time I played it I ended up getting a pregnancy test as I threw up 3 times in about 40 minutes the morning I was playing it & couldn't figure out why at first. I'm resigned to the fact I can never play it due to motion sickness.

I feel your pain! Had the same thing with Ether. I could play maybe 10 minutes max - eventually made it to the first house/building I think after many, many attempts. It's funny, I didn't realise it was the game at first but then I have never had this trouble with any other game ever. Just the thought of that game makes me check my balance even now..
People used to throw up to doom when it first came out. Had you played many fps's before halflife? Maybe you hadnt adapted yet, a little like how most people who try vr for the first times get nauseus until their brain adapts

I bought xenoblade day one and would play for hours but get nothing done, so many distractions and so many things to learn(didnt help that it was my first open world jrpg). Bought the ps4 for christmas a few weeks after andinvested ,y time in the nathan drake collection. Hopefully they release it on the switch.

The Souls-Borne games are the ones I wish I was good at Flippin hell, I wimped out before the Taurus Demon (I trashed the the Asylum Demon, I upgraded the Estus Flask, I braved the graveyard to get the Zweihander, I killed the first Black Knight by the skin of my teeth but I gave up before I got to the damn Taurus Demon) I eventually came back to it, and through constantly using the summon signs I made it to Anor Londo and now I can't get past those royal sentinel things

I have to agree with Rob on this one to an extent, I think if you haven't played Half Life 2 by now then playing it today you would probably find it hard to figure what all the fuss was about. A lot of the stuff that made it so groundbreaking just isn't groundbreaking anymore. I replayed it when the Orange Box came out and even then I could see that my affection for it was at least in part due to nostalgia for the experience I had I went through it when it was all new and amazing. It's still a good game, it just has such a legendary status nowadays that playing it for the first time with game design having evolved so much, it could just leave you feeling a bit nonplussed and wondering what all the fuss was about. Hell I'm going to blaspheme and say that I don't think they should make a Half Life 3, the weight of expectation that game has built up is completely impossible to fulfil and no matter what they, produced people would be disappointed. I'm predicting disappointment that would make No Mans Sky's release look like a minor faux pas. People just need to let it go.
There are so many now. Never played red dead redemption, l.a. noire, portal, GTA v, the Witcher, Deus ex, fallout, skyrim and the list is just going to keep increasing at this point.
Energy Blade i think you’re better off. I played a bit since day 1. While the premise of the game is good. It doesnt hold my attention like other games. Bottom line is: join a clan or get a group of friends to play with. Solo is fun until it bores you with the grind. :/
Mass Effect, Tomb Raider, Sly Cooper, Jak and Daxter. What do these franchises have in common? I have most/all of the games in their respective series, yet still have not so much as seen the inside of my consoles. Also, I'm in the middle of playing Ocarina of Time (N64 version) and Kingdom Hearts 1 for the first time ever right now. So much shame for not doing this years sooner.
Damnit Nathan! I was doing so well! I was so PROUD of not having played ANY game on this list but you screwed it up with Assassin's Creed (of which I've only played Black Flag because they literally gave it away for free a while ago).
I'm put out off by most turned based games, there's some I've played and enjoyed (most likely would enjoy more). But not all JRPGs are turn based though.
I'm not a hater as that's someone who bashes every aspect of them for no real reason. The reason I personally do not like them is that generally I dislike the aesthetic and character design with most being heavily inspired by japanese art and also many of them have stories that disinterest me. There are obviously exceptions but really if you take away the things I do not enjoy, it probably won't classify as a JRPG. I'm not saying they are all bad games as they are clearly not and I am also not saying every JRPG has turn-based combat which my previous comment seems to imply but I am, however saying that the things that make them JRPG's are the very reasons why I dislike those games and consequently I will not ever play one. Also the argument that a genre 'doesn't need' people is plain stupid as surely every game would like as many people to play them as possible. Just to clarify in case it isn't obvious, I do not think ill of people that do like them as it's all personal opinion.

I feel kind of bad I never got past the initial part where you gain control of Sora in Kingdom Hearts 2. I told my dad I couldn't stand the Disney characters, and he proceeded to sell it. I kind of wanted to play the rest of the game. Especially since my other game he got me was God of War, and I couldn't seem to beat that QTE with the Hydra.
The first entry in this list explains a lot about why the channel is called Playstation Access instead of PC Access. Even though many games going forward have drawn influence from HL2 they rarely manage to present their use of ideas in a way that seems as carefully considered. HL2 and its episodes are not without their gimmicks but they are also not often made to outstay their welcome. For example both the hovercraft and car are kept with you for a decent amount of time but you part ways with them once you've done everything their is to be done with them, bar for things that have maybe already been done better in true driving-genre games. Similar goes for commanding a small squad of alien insects. The game is scarce of ammo following the chapter where you're given the gravity gun because they wanted to encourage the habit of using it but after that it's just an option you'll always have with you. It's clear that Valve didn't have any issues with a publisher making such shallow demands like "this other popular game has X in it so your game needs to have X in it too". The devs weren't interested in copying industry standard mechanics and calling it a day. Rather HL2 was essentially a classic shooter injected with back to back tech demos and a narrative to tighten it all up. It's also not afraid of running with the 'show and don't tell' philosophy that is sorely lacking in games today. I went to study at a University a bit later and introduced this game to numerous people who wouldn't have even been 10 years of age at the games release. Consistently I have ruined their standards with HL2 alone. I've opened their eyes to games but when it comes to FPSes they want more Half-Life and their's nothing that matches it in terms of nuanced design. Heck they can't even go back to playing singleplayer shooters with a controller unless it's strictly the only option. My point is, screw what's new or what you think you've already done before elsewhere. Pick it up. It often sells for pennies on Steam sales and you can run it on a potato.

Up until last year I could say the Yakuza series. But now, I don't know. I've played most games that interest me and games most people probably never heard of.
Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto, The Sims, Minecraft, Metal Gear, Monster Hunter, Uncharted, Animal Crossing, Prince of Persia, Spyro, Warcraft, Dynasty Warriors, Metroid, Starcraft, Red Dead, Hitman and Star Fox just to name the most popular ones.
I've never played Dungeons & Dragons (or any pen + paper + dice rpg). I grew up during that time in the 80's when religious parents thought the game was Satanic or witchcraft or whatever. I hadn't even heard of the game properly until I was in fifth grade. Before then I thought it was just a dumb cartoon, which it technically was. When a school buddy brought in some of the guide books one day I immediately became enamored with concept, but my folks laid down the law real quick. I tried rebelling. I tried drawing up my own world maps and designing character sheets, but no one would ever see or use them. I tried buying dice with more than 6 sides with my meager allowance, but eventually my mom would find them and throw them out. I never really got the chance to play a real D&D game with friends. So I grew up as a video game nerd instead (which I don't regret in the slightest!) Nowadays I have plenty of opportunities to get into a game if I really want. I have like three separate groups of friends that all would love to have me over to play. But do I? No. I'm just not into it, sadly. The magic just isn't there anymore.
Same never played lots of big games, COD, Battlefield very briefly, Fortnite, Overwatch, Persona 5, many others as well. But those that I'm ashamed I haven't played because I'm sure I'd like them are; Breath of the Wild, the newest God of War, Skyrim, Fire Emblem Three Houses. I'm sure there are many others, I just get stuck finding myself playing the same stuff consistently.
I've never played Until Dawn. The reason I'm ashamed of this is because I got it during some sale on the ps store, but it stayed in my backlog. It then ended up free on ps plus and I still haven't played it.
I have a whole list of the best games ever that i have never even touched, let alone played for an hour or two before stopping! Games like Minecraft. All the HALO games. World of Warcraft. Skyrim. EVERY Zelda game. EVERY Mario game apart from Super Mario Bros 3. The entire Persona series, apart from 5. all of the Metal Gear games apart from the VR missions in Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2 hours of 5. KOTOR. The entire Souls series. Resident Evil 4. All the Final Fantasy games, minus XIII and XV. Xenoblade Chronicles 1... The list goes on, but these are games i have specificly had to "defend myself" on never having played when i talk games with my friends...

@Hollie... About Dark Souls... Every time I hear people talk about how hard the game is, I never hear them talk about the coop aspect of the game. I like the challenge, but just like you, I don't like spending hours trying to beat a boss. I try it once, maybe twice, but if that doesn't work, I just summon help. There's always NPC or real players to answer the call! I have all 3 games Platinums and I don't think I've beat more than 5 bosses alone in the whole series... If you love the lore, you'll love the games!
Soul's isn't that hard, even if you don't use summons. You can easily take advantage of boss patterns through just being patient. But, many avoid summons as it takes away from the reward of defeating something that is daunting. Summons are the equivalent of playing a game on easy mode and many want to avoid that.

I have been trying to catch up on games yet I can make a fair list for this video. Starting with; Portal games, the Metal Gear series, Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice, Final Fantasy XV, Tomb Raider, Yakuza, and the Uncharted series. I did finally beat Bastion, started Fallout 4, beat Yooka-Laylee, and just installed Horizon Zero Dawn - Complete Edition.
I hadn't played any of the Uncharted games until 2 weeks ago. I bought 2 for my nephew years ago on ps3 but he never played it so I never got to watch. But this summer I bought the remastered versions and am just about done them. Fantastic games, each in a slightly different way. Definitely buying Thief's End when I'm done.
GTA V - played past the initial sequences for both campaign and online, not sure how I passed the tutorial, but at some point in both versions of the game I got that accursed R2 bug... while it shoots just fine in any and every other game I play, somehow my controller is too worn for this one. Just sit their aiming, aiming, aiming... and get riddled with bullets.
My opinion of Hollie is as high as ever... shame absolved. Much like Dave I've also never played Minecraft and I've never tried Overwatch either.

I'm ashamed to admit that I generally avoid horror games, like I've tried Outlast, but after about 9 hours of running and hiding under beds (the game usually takes about 5 hours) I had to give up, I played the Resident Evil VII: Biohazard demo, and nearly soiled myself in the first twenty seconds (and nothing actually happened). I'm ashamed to admit that the scariest game I've actually finished is Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, and it's not even a horror...
im not a fan of RE7 tbh ... RE4 is probably my favorite. until dawn is a good horror game, its more like an interactive story though, but its still fun. not super scary either, the story is pretty intriguing actually. its only for ps4 tho if you dont have one idk lol

You should try them. Not for anything other than for yourself because you won't find the sense of achievement anywhere else in games, and it'll kinda spoil other games for you.
I finished them all, and I play games on easy first chance I get. It's also a game I'm surprised Rob hasn't finished since his whole MO is over levelling and that's the secret to any difficulty spike in the game. Once the game clicks with you, it's an amazing experience that can't be felt watching others play it.

I've never played any of the Half life games, any of the Portals, I've only played Halo 3 and Reach of the Halo franchise. MGSV has so far been the only Kojima game I've played. And tons more of iconic games...
I never played Halo, until I was given an XBOX 360 recently and a copy of Halo 4. Played about 2 hours of it and thought it was not very good. Also never played PUBG or Fortnight. It's going to stay that way too.

Lol. I watched a video of the entire story on RUclips and was really interested in it so I thought I should buy it and try it out myself. I got about an hour or two into the game and it has been about two years since I last played it.

You must at least try it. I didn't even know what The Witcher was. But I bought Witcher 3 because of all the praise and critical acclaim it was receiving. It is now one of my most played/favourite games of all time.

I've attempted to complete it three times, everytime has ended with boredom. You really aren't missing out, it's nothing like the game people make it out to be. I even tried on death march because I heard it was a challenge, more lies. The biggest difference is that your health doesn't regen on meditation but that's offset by the insane amounts of alcohol you get for potions. The rpg elements are also weak, the combat isn't as good as it looks. Gwent os the best part of the game but even that's not amazing. The world isn't great to explore like everyone says and that's my favourite thing to do in open world games. That said it's certainly not a bad game but it's nothing special. I'd rate it 6/10 max 7/10. I tried my hardest to find this masterpiece I was told about but I was always left wanting.

I've played a combined total of a few hours on one title each from the Assassin's Creed and Halo series.
Can't say I'm really 'ashamed' of any of these omissions, though.

I'm ashamed to say that I've never played Dead Space, I was too young when the PS3 came out to buy games, only got money on my birthday or Christmas, I was only 11 when Dead Space came out, and our PS3 died like 5 years ago, so I may never get to play.

I got to that part in the VERY start where you track down a witch and quest with her a bit, now I am killing stuff in a poisonous room and I have to stay in a bubble, then I put it down. The holy trinity. I've basically never fully played through any Mario, Legend Of Zelda, or Pokemon game. I've played a bunch of Mariokart Wii and 8, quite a bit of New Super Mario, the start of OOT, and maybe half of a few Pokemon games, but I've always had Playstation consoles, so any Nintendo games were played at friends houses.
I only manged a bit of half life 2 before I had to stop I kept throwing up. Heck the first time I played it I ended up getting a pregnancy test as I threw up 3 times in about 40 minutes the morning I was playing it & couldn't figure out why at first. I'm resigned to the fact I can never play it due to motion sickness.

I feel your pain! Had the same thing with Ether. I could play maybe 10 minutes max - eventually made it to the first house/building I think after many, many attempts. It's funny, I didn't realise it was the game at first but then I have never had this trouble with any other game ever. Just the thought of that game makes me check my balance even now..
People used to throw up to doom when it first came out. Had you played many fps's before halflife? Maybe you hadnt adapted yet, a little like how most people who try vr for the first times get nauseus until their brain adapts

Flippin hell, I wimped out before the Taurus Demon (I trashed the the Asylum Demon, I upgraded the Estus Flask, I braved the graveyard to get the Zweihander, I killed the first Black Knight by the skin of my teeth but I gave up before I got to the damn Taurus Demon)
I eventually came back to it, and through constantly using the summon signs I made it to Anor Londo and now I can't get past those royal sentinel things

I have to agree with Rob on this one to an extent, I think if you haven't played Half Life 2 by now then playing it today you would probably find it hard to figure what all the fuss was about. A lot of the stuff that made it so groundbreaking just isn't groundbreaking anymore. I replayed it when the Orange Box came out and even then I could see that my affection for it was at least in part due to nostalgia for the experience I had I went through it when it was all new and amazing. It's still a good game, it just has such a legendary status nowadays that playing it for the first time with game design having evolved so much, it could just leave you feeling a bit nonplussed and wondering what all the fuss was about. Hell I'm going to blaspheme and say that I don't think they should make a Half Life 3, the weight of expectation that game has built up is completely impossible to fulfil and no matter what they, produced people would be disappointed. I'm predicting disappointment that would make No Mans Sky's release look like a minor faux pas. People just need to let it go.

Mass Effect, Tomb Raider, Sly Cooper, Jak and Daxter. What do these franchises have in common? I have most/all of the games in their respective series, yet still have not so much as seen the inside of my consoles. Also, I'm in the middle of playing Ocarina of Time (N64 version) and Kingdom Hearts 1 for the first time ever right now. So much shame for not doing this years sooner.

I'm not a hater as that's someone who bashes every aspect of them for no real reason. The reason I personally do not like them is that generally I dislike the aesthetic and character design with most being heavily inspired by japanese art and also many of them have stories that disinterest me. There are obviously exceptions but really if you take away the things I do not enjoy, it probably won't classify as a JRPG. I'm not saying they are all bad games as they are clearly not and I am also not saying every JRPG has turn-based combat which my previous comment seems to imply but I am, however saying that the things that make them JRPG's are the very reasons why I dislike those games and consequently I will not ever play one. Also the argument that a genre 'doesn't need' people is plain stupid as surely every game would like as many people to play them as possible. Just to clarify in case it isn't obvious, I do not think ill of people that do like them as it's all personal opinion.

It's hard to pick just one. I've never played any Fallout game, Bioshock, Half Life, any of the Batman Arkham series (except an hour of the first one), Portal, or the Witcher series. Makes you wonder if I even play games at all.
You guys are not alone. I also have never played a Souls game, Bloodborne or Minecraft. I also only played the first Assassins Creed. In many ways it was an amazing game but it was also the most repetitive feeling game I have ever played.
I feel kind of bad I never got past the initial part where you gain control of Sora in Kingdom Hearts 2. I told my dad I couldn't stand the Disney characters, and he proceeded to sell it. I kind of wanted to play the rest of the game. Especially since my other game he got me was God of War, and I couldn't seem to beat that QTE with the Hydra.

The first entry in this list explains a lot about why the channel is called Playstation Access instead of PC Access. Even though many games going forward have drawn influence from HL2 they rarely manage to present their use of ideas in a way that seems as carefully considered. HL2 and its episodes are not without their gimmicks but they are also not often made to outstay their welcome.
For example both the hovercraft and car are kept with you for a decent amount of time but you part ways with them once you've done everything their is to be done with them, bar for things that have maybe already been done better in true driving-genre games. Similar goes for commanding a small squad of alien insects. The game is scarce of ammo following the chapter where you're given the gravity gun because they wanted to encourage the habit of using it but after that it's just an option you'll always have with you.
It's clear that Valve didn't have any issues with a publisher making such shallow demands like "this other popular game has X in it so your game needs to have X in it too". The devs weren't interested in copying industry standard mechanics and calling it a day. Rather HL2 was essentially a classic shooter injected with back to back tech demos and a narrative to tighten it all up. It's also not afraid of running with the 'show and don't tell' philosophy that is sorely lacking in games today.
I went to study at a University a bit later and introduced this game to numerous people who wouldn't have even been 10 years of age at the games release. Consistently I have ruined their standards with HL2 alone. I've opened their eyes to games but when it comes to FPSes they want more Half-Life and their's nothing that matches it in terms of nuanced design. Heck they can't even go back to playing singleplayer shooters with a controller unless it's strictly the only option.
My point is, screw what's new or what you think you've already done before elsewhere. Pick it up. It often sells for pennies on Steam sales and you can run it on a potato.
Shadow of Colossus, Metal Gear Solids, Silent Hills, Final Fantasies, Half-Life, The Last of Us... can't think anything else but I'm sure there are bunch of classics I haven't played.
Up until last year I could say the Yakuza series. But now, I don't know. I've played most games that interest me and games most people probably never heard of.

I've never played Dungeons & Dragons (or any pen + paper + dice rpg). I grew up during that time in the 80's when religious parents thought the game was Satanic or witchcraft or whatever. I hadn't even heard of the game properly until I was in fifth grade. Before then I thought it was just a dumb cartoon, which it technically was. When a school buddy brought in some of the guide books one day I immediately became enamored with concept, but my folks laid down the law real quick. I tried rebelling. I tried drawing up my own world maps and designing character sheets, but no one would ever see or use them. I tried buying dice with more than 6 sides with my meager allowance, but eventually my mom would find them and throw them out. I never really got the chance to play a real D&D game with friends. So I grew up as a video game nerd instead (which I don't regret in the slightest!) Nowadays I have plenty of opportunities to get into a game if I really want. I have like three separate groups of friends that all would love to have me over to play. But do I? No. I'm just not into it, sadly. The magic just isn't there anymore.
Same never played lots of big games, COD, Battlefield very briefly, Fortnite, Overwatch, Persona 5, many others as well. But those that I'm ashamed I haven't played because I'm sure I'd like them are;
Breath of the Wild, the newest God of War, Skyrim, Fire Emblem Three Houses. I'm sure there are many others, I just get stuck finding myself playing the same stuff consistently.

The entire Persona series, apart from 5. all of the Metal Gear games apart from the VR missions in Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2 hours of 5. KOTOR. The entire Souls series. Resident Evil 4. All the Final Fantasy games, minus XIII and XV. Xenoblade Chronicles 1...
The list goes on, but these are games i have specificly had to "defend myself" on never having played when i talk games with my friends...

I have to say I got a clean conscience about my choice of games. I never played FF, MGS, 1/2 life or DS and I'm completely good with it. Never was interested and never will be.
Oh, and my favorite AC is the first one.
How have you never played a souls game, I was too young to play them when they came out, and I wasn’t online either, and I still found out about them and played them later.

i’ve never played MGS, i’ve tried a little bit of MGS5 at a friends house but never played that much, just the character creation thing and i got halfway through escaping the hospital, but other than that, never touched it
@Hollie... About Dark Souls... Every time I hear people talk about how hard the game is, I never hear them talk about the coop aspect of the game. I like the challenge, but just like you, I don't like spending hours trying to beat a boss. I try it once, maybe twice, but if that doesn't work, I just summon help. There's always NPC or real players to answer the call! I have all 3 games Platinums and I don't think I've beat more than 5 bosses alone in the whole series...
If you love the lore, you'll love the games!
Soul's isn't that hard, even if you don't use summons. You can easily take advantage of boss patterns through just being patient. But, many avoid summons as it takes away from the reward of defeating something that is daunting. Summons are the equivalent of playing a game on easy mode and many want to avoid that.
@@user-yi5mt2df5q I understand that, but to each his own... It just that it shouldn't be frowned upon if you enjoy the Sun bros. aspect of the game... Which I often feel in the comments... That's all...
Oh Rob, I love that you see the Half-Life 2 intro as pretentious, and yet the Metal Gear Solid intro is just fine.. -and let's be honest it really gets worse throughout the series-
I have been trying to catch up on games yet I can make a fair list for this video. Starting with; Portal games, the Metal Gear series, Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice, Final Fantasy XV, Tomb Raider, Yakuza, and the Uncharted series.
I did finally beat Bastion, started Fallout 4, beat Yooka-Laylee, and just installed Horizon Zero Dawn - Complete Edition.
I hadn't played any of the Uncharted games until 2 weeks ago. I bought 2 for my nephew years ago on ps3 but he never played it so I never got to watch. But this summer I bought the remastered versions and am just about done them. Fantastic games, each in a slightly different way. Definitely buying Thief's End when I'm done.
GTA V - played past the initial sequences for both campaign and online, not sure how I passed the tutorial, but at some point in both versions of the game I got that accursed R2 bug... while it shoots just fine in any and every other game I play, somehow my controller is too worn for this one. Just sit their aiming, aiming, aiming... and get riddled with bullets.
