  • On today's episode of Lambvinskis Garage, we install a Ford Crown Vic Front End on our 1964 Dodge D100! This truck is going to be an awesome hot rod when we're done! While this may not be the best and easiest option for independent front suspension, it's the option we went with! If you have any questions please feel free to leave a comment or send me a message! This did take a LOT of time to do, but will be well worth it in the end! So sit down, strap in, and enjoy the video!
    If you aren't subscribed already please consider doing so! It would really help us out!
    If you have any questions about what we're doing or cars for sale, feel free to leave a comment or send us a message on Facebook or Instagram at Lambvinskis Garage!
    As always, thank you for watching, and have a nice day!

    A little late to the party. Back in early 80's we had a guy weld in a '69 Fury front clip to my 57 D100. We took into account sub frame angle to torsion bar anchor points. The Fury sub frame fell right into place outside the D100 frame. We didn't realize how much engine set back was, and had to cut out a large portion of the firewall. Remember, early 80's. what internet, two car garage. People will say I'm a hack, but who can honestly say they have kept their first truck over 40 years. Torsion bar, power steering, even the 8 3/4 diff. was used. and most of the electrical harness.

    • @LambvinskisGarage
      @LambvinskisGarage  Год назад

      That mounts from the frame to the cross member? Yes, we used the same tubes that it came with from the crown vic. We chopped that part of the frame out, then cut the tubes out and welded them in our new frame section.

      @@LambvinskisGarage How many miles were on that thing when it died? I have a 99 grand marquis with 128k and it still runs and sounds like brand new. I see a lot of people do the crown Vic front end swaps on the older Ford trucks but I think this is the first time I've ever seen it done on a Dodge.

      @@MattsRageFitGarage I'm not sure how many miles it had to be honest, the rest of the car was in pretty good shape other than that timing chain failure. Even the bushings and such appeared to be in good shape.
