For all of the people whining about the clones not shooting to kill, I mean, throughout the series, both happens. You can't possibly watch this show and think its sanitized or "only bad guys kill".
That’s largely what it’s been though. The good guys set their blasters to stun while the bad guys are ruthless as heck. The only good guy who actually finishes the job is Saw Gerrera, but for some reason Disney tries to portray him as doing the wrong thing while fighting for good even though he is the most realistic character in the show.
The only reason why the Clones have stun is to avoid drawing a lot more heat from the Empire. For example would you focus more of your resources on thieves who steal money/supplies but kill your men or people who killed you soldiers ?
Yeah, when the Clone Wars began, the Grand Army of the Republic was already combat veterans with ten years of intense training from the Mandalorians and Jango himself.
heard a theory that the clones do this because stun mode has a wider range of attack, makes sense given the context of being on a ship with small hallways
Although I'm very mixed about Clones not shooting to kill Storm troopers, it kinda makes sense 1. They were Republic civilians at one point. These clones fought for them. It would be weird for them to switch to kill the same people they fought to protect. Remember back to Howzer. 2. Shooting to stun instead of kill doesn't put the clones on the Empire's radar. They don't need more heat than they already have. Imagine a squad of troopers killed 100-200 storm troopers constantly. That would bring the likes of Vader to see to it personally that it ends.
Also it can just be more effective. I mean when you're using blaster bolts you really have to aim, but stun's pretty much one hit KO and very hard to miss with.
I love how proffesional and well trained the clones are. Notice how when the Remora (Echo's ship) comes out of hyperspace it immediately takes out Gozanti's hyperdrive engines, later attacking it swiftly from the stern and disabling the power to the ship's cannons - it shows just how well prepared and how elite the clones are.
I partly think the reason why some clones stun is because they see each other as living, breathing soldiers, not battle droids that can be turned off. The Clones were betrayed by the Empire, by their brothers over someone else's command, one they couldn't disobey otherwise they be executed for treason. The clones have seen so much war and aged so much that they can't help but respect other soldiers even if they're not clones. They certainly still Don't think too highly of them that's for sure but that isn't enough to kill a fellow soldier who's just following orders. "Good soldiers follow orders" is still a valid statement, the only problem with the phrase is who's giving the orders and every single clone has had that end of the stick.
It’s pretty cool seeing Gregor alive in the Clone Wars series but in the Lucas’s films it’s complete opposite and Gregor is killed by Yoda during Order 66.
Rex would do worst he would grab the officer by the neck and throw a couple punches to get some answers out of him even putting his pistol to the officers head forcing him to cooperate
