He has been a top player in club teams and even in varsity as a freshman. We are starting the process and looking to figure this out as I’m a single mom and my son really has a passion for soccer. Man i have so much respect for you. Ive played football ever since I was born but I hated the last two years of high school because I didnt get into varsity even though I trained almost everyday, it was my end goal to finish high school in varsity. I was friends with the players from the varsity and I totally get the frustration of being told you in your face that you will never make it. Theres not a lot of options of teams to play in Singapore when you become older (im 19 now) except for adult football, the transition was hard and I have not played a single full game for about a whole year, not even 25 minutes and it made me frustrated and unhappy with my football. Even though I train nearly everyday for about 4 years now, im becoming even more frustrated (with lockdown stopping football too). Im really glad to have found your video because it made me even more motivated, great video (sorry for the long comment).
19 years old? Youve got plenty of time. I graduated at 19, so at that point I had been playing for only 3 years.

I’m having similar story like you. I started wanting to be pro from 10th grade even though I been playing since 7th grade. Now I play at a D3 junior college named Monroe college (D1&D3)to me I think it is one of the best D3 college. Hopefully I will have a great sophomore season and get into a D1school.

Mannn, i needed to see this video, I played soccer throughout middle school. I wrestled varsity 4 years but I joined my very good high school team senior year and played 3 or 4 games. We won state. I WILL play college soccer!!

What a story man, this is so inspiring🙌🏼 I love hearing other players stories, and how they overcome their obstacles. Personally I never played club soccer until my junior year and I was also wondering how I was going to play in college, but I worked hard and got a chance to play D3 at Schreiner University outside of San Antonio. In the end that hard work and passion for the game will take you places!

@JodabeniTV I stopped playing soccer in 8th grade because I don’t really have passion for it anymore, I wa supposed to go into high school, as a starter but I decided to stop playing and started playing basketball. But I didn’t really have a passion for it anymore, a couple days ago my uncle talked my back into playing after I said it’s been 3 years and he said you don’t forget something you learn you just keep adding, since then I saw this video and I started grinding again, hopefully I can get back in great form soon

When you wrote teams/coaches what did you specifically say? Did you have to provide your full soccer “resume”? Any tips on how to contact teams? Thx

I’m having a hard journey it took me 4 years to finally take soccer serious and I’m planning to play semi pro soon .
This why European football will always be better why are they saying if your not fit they won’t look at you anyone can get fit Buh not everyone can be technical etc some good players cuda prob being cut simply because of that . trials over here there are no running it’s all about ball mastery etc then if you have that you will get fit with the team obviously attitude as well but yeah great story man love your attitude you always believe in yourself and never waited for opportunities to come to you , you went out and got them you went out and dm teams so you deserve it g and stay hungry 😋

Joe, you should describe your video as "Division I" not Division 1. Div. 1 implies top level professional play while Div. I implies top level college play. Congratulations on your amazing achievement!
Hello my dude, I just wanted to tell you if you have some feedback for me to become pro, I am 16, a junior, and never played for a team, but for years since I was 10 I’ve been training really hard and going to this field mostly 5 days a week for 3 hours, do you think only playing 1 year of high school, 1 year of club soccer and playing some recreational soccer tournaments can help me join a college team just by playing 1 and a half year of competitive soccer. I also wanted to join my junior year, but since I want to help my family with rent and I have a baby sister and a sister in college, my parents don’t have transportation for me and I need to help them with somethings, so I’m okay for missing junior year, but is it bad If I miss junior year and instead of playing soccer in 11th grade, can I join some soccer training camps and Sunday leagues
