On the road to being a walk on, played all my life and after highschool I went to a d3.. hated the d3 and dealt with some injuries and came back home for a little while to regather myself. Being back made me realize I still got love for the game and I didn’t want to waste my athletic youth, transferring soon to University of Houston for my walk on experience soon
this is my aspiration rn, i'm 5'9 160 and i didn't play any football in high school but I balled in my flag football leagues on both defense and offense, I've been trying to get in touch with colleges for probably a year now while I've been picking up credits in community college

I never kept my grades up in H.S so I couldn’t get cleared through the NCAA Clearinghouse. I tried again when I was 24, still no luck! I’m 40 years old now and I have a daughter and I work three jobs. I would have did anything to play. I still feel like I could do it at 40 even though I’m old now. I will regret that until the day I die! Go out do your best and if you don’t make it, work hard and try again if you want. I ran a 4.37 40. Benched 225 17 times, had almost a 40 inch vertical and guess what? That got me nowhere cause of my grades! I wish you all the best!

I have experience and have gone to state competitions before and was doubtful but this helped me boost my confidence a lot now. @@matthewjohn1251 What pos you trying out for? Sprint a lot. Work on that 40 time, vertical, bench press, etc… Make sure you’re squatting, benching. Doing heavy compound lifts. Main thing I can say is workout hard! Remember, there is always someone out there working harder than you and that wants it more! Best of luck to you!

I had a blast but unfortunately that time ended so quickly. My main sport was baseball but football has secretly been my favorite sport for a little while now. In highschool I found most of my success at defensive end, but would like to learn the offensive side of the sport. I’m going to eat more and ramp up in the weight room up until the tryout.
