LYRICS
Steamroller Blues by James Taylor
Well, I’m a steamroller, baby
I’m bound to roll all over you
Yes, I’m a steamroller now, baby
I’m bound to roll all over you
I’m gonna inject your soul with some sweet rock ‘n roll
And shoot you full of rhythm and blues
Well, I’m a cement mixer
A churning urn of burning funk
Yes, I’m a cement mixer for you, baby
A churning urn of burning funk
Well, I’m a d-d-demolition derby (yeah)
A hefty hunk of steaming junk
Now, I’m a love bomb, baby
Just guaranteed to blow your mind
Yeah, I’m a love bomb for you, baby
Oh, guaranteed, just guaranteed to blow your mind
And if I can’t have your love for my own (now)
Sweet child, won’t be nothing left behind
It seems how lately, baby
Well I’m a steamroller for you, baby, child

Wow, what a treat! Fun to see/hear Russ, Lee, Danny, and Waddy as they were 'back in the day' as well! (The Section / The Immediate Family ftw!)
Wow still a favorite see familiar faces in the band Excellent
One of my favorites specially at Arizona State Fair many many years ago when I let out an agonizing ouch and it had just so happen to have gotten quiet and you chuckled ,that was back in the day when you did it slow and agonizing. You've always been my best therapy

Oh my
Bravo!!
I Love James Taylor ♥
Unbelievable to me that these Blossom Music Festival videos don't have more views. I was there and it was AWESOME!
I’m hoping that I’ll be able to see JT and his band this summer. It would be my fifth JT Concert. He’s simply the best.
Rock it JT ! 🙏
Best version
I was there for this and many other JT performances at Blossom!
Best version ever! "Churnin' urn of burnin funk, damn right I am!" Why yes you are, James. Yes you are.
What a band and they're having such a good time!
❤
👍 👍 up
This should've still been James' band lineup on "Dad Loves His Work", "That's Why I'm Here" and "Never Die Young".
Love James, this song thrills me, my very favorite of his, so sexy!! ❤❤❤ 1:42
Was way surprised to hear Elvis's cover of JT's Steamroller!
i just heard of David Sanborn's passing. So I came here.
Waddy (Wachtl) , Kooch, (Danny Korchmar) ! You are the most kick-ass fucking cats! You should have been artists in your own rights!! If I were a noted artist, youse would get equal billing to the HILT!!
Bom demais!!!
Damn
Chicken chokin' Mother ficking blues
I need to go stand in front of the freezer.....
I guessed thru time James avoid the "chicken talkin MF" part at the near end of the song because more and more children were brought by their parents to watch his concert.and he was aware of that.
Northern California on you plan?
Just came from there, I'm afraid.
@@jamestaylor oh they'll be another time maybe - maybe when I have the time - I can't promise you anything - but you're front most in my mind - It's not that its to late or maybe not ever - There's so many places I need to go - Where all the good vibes are flowing - People love the pop folk and rock and roll - Best to you Mr. James Taylor -
the printed lyrics miss an important reference to 60s and 70s politics: it's a napalm bomb for you baby, not a love bomb (what's a love bomb?)
😂
