I like the crew 2 more for the bether free-driving. You can drive a trip from LA to NY in 40 mins, and you cant have that long a drive in forza. But I think its 2 different games

You clearly didn't play horizon 4. I had a feeling that it's quite similar to 3 but i couldn't be more wrong. It's not revolutionary but it's a very very very significant evolution of the idea. TC2 might add variety but nothing is done with a quality. Planes steer shitty, bikes drive shitty, boats swim shitty everything when it comes to physics is lacklustre and unenjoyable.

If you want a jaw dropping, fresh experience - play Horizon 4. If you want to be overwhelmed by a huge lifeless setting, dissapointed by the lack of progression and terrible, joyless driving physics - play Crew 2.
220 cars+27 bikes+16 planes+11 boats+1 helicopter = 275 vehicles total crew 2 and forza horizon 4 has 450+ cars... Honestly i really only care for the ammount of cars tho i could care less for rest like boats,planes etc

If by that you mean drive something that does not feel like a car at all then yes, The Crew 2 scratches that itch very well. I tried to play it 2 times already and uninstalled after a few hours because the races feel like something else entirely. I played a lot of racing games, from sims to arcade, open world, etc and never encountered such unrealistic car handling.

It's not that it's unrealistic. It's that it is unrealistic to such a degree that it's not fun at all. Driving a car is a fun thing because you have to fight physical forces. Some of them are too complex for a typical gamer to handle especially on a gamepad hence why we simplify the physics in games but in the crew it's so stripped out of everything that it's fucking horrible. Horizon 4 literally shits on TC2.

As pre owner ps4 pro owner who almost finished all exclusives and now xbox one x owner ı should say that forza horizon 4 is one of my top 10 games all of the time.
I bought both games and both were the best edition and the crew is fun if your alone and just feel like going for a drive but forza has the grind to the top and a pretty good community btw my Xbox is rambomarkbos and I'm in apex racing or (-GT-) Which is the no. 1 club in the world we regularly host club races if your interested check out the donjoewonsong club on xbox or apex racing

I am a big Forza fanboy. BUT, The Crew 2 is my road trip game. When I want to take a car for a long drive over the whole map, maybe not looking forward to every corner but the destinations. Forza's maps just always feel like it limits you to those long drives, we always wanted longer straights in the game that we just did not get.
I've played through both games, and for me the fh4 map size is a big issue. I knew the whole map by heart after a week, so it doesn't have the excitement of finding a new backroad etc. That I still get from tc2. It would take me months to learn the entire tc2 map. Fh4 has a lot more detail and more realism, but less sense of speed. In tc2 even the starter cars can be a fun time since they feel kinda fast and dont handle like a hummer
I hate the physics in The Crew 2 it takes me out of the game. When I'm coming off a big jump it seems like there's a magnet on the bottom of my vehicle and it slams me into the ground like that's not enjoyable or satisfying for a street racing game. I feel like the way the vehicles drive is not very good in The Crew 2 and could use a patch. My favorite Street racing game of all time is Midnight club. I love how there's a weight transfer system in Midnight club where you have control of your car and when you come off ramps your car soars through the air from the speed you were going and that's what I want in any racing game I buy. Forza really is a fun looking game because it nails everything I talked about but I'm a Ps4 user so I'll just have to wait for a better racing game.
The problem with forza games is that they got kinda boring fast, I have both the crew 2 and fh4 and the crew just has mor stuff to do and the map is about a million times better, to me it’s a better game even tho the graphics aren’t as good
Honestly, The Crew 2 is underrated. Everyone mocks the map but honestly that’s the best part of the game. Everyone acts like “hur dur big not better” implying the map is somehow low quality just because “if it’s big that obviously means they put less effort into the map” but it’s far superior to Forza’s world. It’s not just bigger it’s *higher quality*. It’s intentionally samish in parts due to it reflecting *the whole United States*. Each state looks similar except for the cities. Go from New Mexico to Ohio or New York to Idaho and you’ll see vast changes. But no, people now a-days have an attention span of a child, expecting instant change in biomes everywhere they go. While I will agree Forza is better in total, I will not say the map is better.

If you have the cash, both. They are quite different games. Forza is a semi arcade racer. You can crank up the difficulty it's a low level sim. Mostly it's with cars (3 wheeler stuff). While the Crew is an Arcade game, with the seasoning of planes, boats, and hoover crafts. Both games have amazing maps, forza 4 has four seasons. While crew's dynamic wheater when starts snowing and it's changes it's amazing and the map is 2x as big as Forzas. I really like both games, I have 110 hours in crew 2 and 60 hours in Horizon 4. Overall I'd say buy Horizon tho, because it's nearly a 100% polished game, while the Crew 2 feels unpolished, hopefully it will get patches like the one did. Too many people hate on the game.... pls grow up. Need For Speed should put tho pants on and get in the ring.

Buying The Crew 2 (as a fan of The Crew 1) was the worst choice I've ever done when buying game. Why developers decided to add rest of content later (PVP for example: it's not added yet), when Forza Horizon 4 has everything at the start? Why they fucked up the potential of such a big open world? Why game rewards you so poor? Compare number of cars: 90 cars(TC2) to 500 cars (FH4)? Why AI cheat you in very nasty way?! Look on Forza Horizon: it has 5 level of dificulties and AI cars are based on your friends driving styles. In Forza Horizon I don't need to use nitro to drive faster. Good configuration of tuning make car accelerating very well. You said you spent 10/15 hours in game. But it's not enough for game with open world. I'm treating this kind of racing games very seriously, and it should encourage me to do more when I want to drive with friends and every day find new challenges. Or I don't even need a friends to enjoy in Forza Horizon. Well programmed AI give me a fun too. If I want I can drive alone (remember the slogan of first The Crew:-D Funny, that it was hard to find anyone to drive together).

The houses are boring theyre literally just there to buy perks and nothing else and finally im really really annoyed with the fact itss not being sold well. I remember yesterday i checked in all the stores that had games and literally i could only find lots of copies of the game and i cant find the crew. Im constantly asking the workers there and they always tell me the crew 2 is sold out. EVERY SINGLE TIME
That's how everyone is. They don't want to give the crew 2 a chance because the graphics aren't as good. I love Forza but the crew 2 is so much fun. You can play the crew 2 for hours. Forza is very overrated.

I'm glad that a video like this was made. I think the crew 2 really is an great ambitious game and where it succeeds over the FH4 is sure size of map, variety of Terrain and variety of racing Sports.because of this the crew 2 suffers from a jack-of-all-trades and master of none quality level. Since the map is smaller in Forza Horizon 4 and there are the four seasons they can spend a lot more resources on detail in the map. And since there is only driving in Forza Horizon 4 just feel superior to the crew 's driving.
Tbh i feel like the crew 2 is better in all aspects except graphics i say tis because the people at ivory tower go above and beyond with the majority of the updates and theres just so much to di along with the huge map and in forza after a good 3 months (ive been playing the crew 2 regularly for over 2 years now)i got bored of it because the map is so small and its ridiculously easy to get cars so everyone has the same cars all the time even with the "rare cars" forza adds and the physics piss me off so much especially with the rocks and the handling feels weird because theres little to no resistance when steering P.S. thanks if you read the whole thing

I only play the crew 2 because I don't have an Xbox. Forza horizon is the best driving game I ever played, mainly because I don't like full on simulators. It's just too much fun. And also it's beautiful. To be honest is the only thing missing in my ps4.
My opinion is biased in some way since I've played over 150h of The Crew 2 before playing FH4 (both on pc). FH4, I 've played for about 10h. Anyway, even if it is a bit less graphically impressive, I feel like The Crew 2 has nailed the arcade racing game mix. The game requires skill while still being fun. The various types of vehicules, and cars, and different types of races is really well done. The visual customization is pushed further, at the cost of visual fidelity. Don't take me wrong the game still looks good, eventhough the 60fps locked framerate is a bummer compared to the unlocked refresh rate of Forza. Give The Crew 2 a try it is still cared for by its developpers with weekly events.
i find it funny how the two British dudes are talking about how accurate crew 2's us is even though if you compare the two to an actual map its missing A LOT of things (id say its a map made of the us by people who have never been to it lol) (btw love both games)
I bought Crew 1 when it was on a crazy sale. Super fun game. I tried the forza horizon 4 demo and it's objectively better in every way, but it didn't have the same fun factor. Would definitely buy it over Crew 2 though. Why did it take four years to use the same map, remove the story and make graphics and physics worse?

I have both games, and I love them equally for different reasons. The Crew 2 for just traveling and chilling, but Forza for the more realistic driving/handling.

Crew have police , motors , air jets(not military) , ships and more cityes and bigger maps. Forza haves more cars better graphics(crew graphics ok not bad) better car dynamics and wrather effects. İf you are standart guy to just for fun not car game or graphics crew 2 and forza horizon 4 demo(demo is big). Forza have also classic cars and bettrr online crew 2 have online problembtc now. But. I deinstalled Forza, because theres nothin new. I cant play the Multiplay because everytime I get a disconnect...thx to Microsoft. In the Crew everything works with no problems at all and they still do big updates...In forza u got a new car everey three months...wow
Mario kart is a fun game, but it’s barely a racing game. The actual driving skill needed in that game is pretty minimal, the real skill comes from item management, timing, and knowing the tracks
I played Forza on my Xbox 360. I liked it very much, but i was unable to finish it. Then years later i Got PS4 played some Simulation driving games like GT Sports, Project Cars, Dirt Rally and then Dirt 4, These games changed my mind and i got stuck to simulation driving games since then. But i also have NFS Rivals, NFS 2015 and The Crew 1. So after all in my opinion I would give a shot to The Crew2.
The one pro lem with the racing sim games is that they usually throw you in at the deep end which is why I don't like them personally but I see the appeal, I myself love playing on forza games with no assists and simulation steering but with no damage cause I can't learn every track off by heart so I'm bound to fuck up so I don't want that to end my race there and then

Car sounds are very good BUT, some of the cars sound lacklustre or have a copied over sounds from other cars.

Get both. While horizon is technically the better game in most respects, they both scratch very different itches, and I personally find them both fun.

I played a lot of racing games, from sims to arcade, open world, etc and never encountered such unrealistic car handling.

It's not that it's unrealistic. It's that it is unrealistic to such a degree that it's not fun at all. Driving a car is a fun thing because you have to fight physical forces. Some of them are too complex for a typical gamer to handle especially on a gamepad hence why we simplify the physics in games but in the crew it's so stripped out of everything that it's fucking horrible. Horizon 4 literally shits on TC2.

I am a big Forza fanboy. BUT, The Crew 2 is my road trip game. When I want to take a car for a long drive over the whole map, maybe not looking forward to every corner but the destinations. Forza's maps just always feel like it limits you to those long drives, we always wanted longer straights in the game that we just did not get.

I've played through both games, and for me the fh4 map size is a big issue. I knew the whole map by heart after a week, so it doesn't have the excitement of finding a new backroad etc. That I still get from tc2. It would take me months to learn the entire tc2 map. Fh4 has a lot more detail and more realism, but less sense of speed. In tc2 even the starter cars can be a fun time since they feel kinda fast and dont handle like a hummer

I hate the physics in The Crew 2 it takes me out of the game. When I'm coming off a big jump it seems like there's a magnet on the bottom of my vehicle and it slams me into the ground like that's not enjoyable or satisfying for a street racing game. I feel like the way the vehicles drive is not very good in The Crew 2 and could use a patch. My favorite Street racing game of all time is Midnight club. I love how there's a weight transfer system in Midnight club where you have control of your car and when you come off ramps your car soars through the air from the speed you were going and that's what I want in any racing game I buy. Forza really is a fun looking game because it nails everything I talked about but I'm a Ps4 user so I'll just have to wait for a better racing game.

Honestly, The Crew 2 is underrated.
Everyone mocks the map but honestly that’s the best part of the game. Everyone acts like “hur dur big not better” implying the map is somehow low quality just because “if it’s big that obviously means they put less effort into the map” but it’s far superior to Forza’s world. It’s not just bigger it’s *higher quality*. It’s intentionally samish in parts due to it reflecting *the whole United States*. Each state looks similar except for the cities. Go from New Mexico to Ohio or New York to Idaho and you’ll see vast changes. But no, people now a-days have an attention span of a child, expecting instant change in biomes everywhere they go. While I will agree Forza is better in total, I will not say the map is better.

If you have the cash, both. They are quite different games. Forza is a semi arcade racer. You can crank up the difficulty it's a low level sim. Mostly it's with cars (3 wheeler stuff). While the Crew is an Arcade game, with the seasoning of planes, boats, and hoover crafts. Both games have amazing maps, forza 4 has four seasons. While crew's dynamic wheater when starts snowing and it's changes it's amazing and the map is 2x as big as Forzas. I really like both games, I have 110 hours in crew 2 and 60 hours in Horizon 4. Overall I'd say buy Horizon tho, because it's nearly a 100% polished game, while the Crew 2 feels unpolished, hopefully it will get patches like the one did. Too many people hate on the game.... pls grow up. Need For Speed should put tho pants on and get in the ring.

Why developers decided to add rest of content later (PVP for example: it's not added yet), when Forza Horizon 4 has everything at the start?
Why they fucked up the potential of such a big open world? Why game rewards you so poor? Compare number of cars: 90 cars(TC2) to 500 cars (FH4)?
Why AI cheat you in very nasty way?! Look on Forza Horizon: it has 5 level of dificulties and AI cars are based on your friends driving styles.
In Forza Horizon I don't need to use nitro to drive faster. Good configuration of tuning make car accelerating very well.

I'm treating this kind of racing games very seriously, and it should encourage me to do more when I want to drive with friends and every day find new challenges. Or I don't even need a friends to enjoy in Forza Horizon. Well programmed AI give me a fun too. ad1: One of the presenter said that The Crew 2 big world is like a all you can eat buffet restaurant. And that is why smaller but concrete world in Forza Horizon is better. Because it's all about racing, not sightseeing.
ad2: both games are giving you something to do, but in Forza I can drive almost every event with any car I like, in even any weather and day conditions I like, so repeating it have a sense. + for FH4 again.
ad3: seasons vs diferrent vehicles. Seasons were better idea, bacuase you can drive boats or planes etc in GTA games. Every season changing the way your car drive, so you progress your driving skills. Even whe I was attracted to diferrent vehicles in TC2, I was bored after an hour because of boring driving style.
ad4: Forza Horizon 4 is the best arcade-sim game. This is the best solution to attract begginers and please more advenced virtual racers. Two birds with one stone my dear.
ad bonus: Like I said before: even if it's open world, the main point of racing games is racing. Not sightseeing.

The houses are boring theyre literally just there to buy perks and nothing else and finally im really really annoyed with the fact itss not being sold well. I remember yesterday i checked in all the stores that had games and literally i could only find lots of copies of the game and i cant find the crew. I'm glad that a video like this was made. I think the crew 2 really is an great ambitious game and where it succeeds over the FH4 is sure size of map, variety of Terrain and variety of racing Sports.because of this the crew 2 suffers from a jack-of-all-trades and master of none quality level. Since the map is smaller in Forza Horizon 4 and there are the four seasons they can spend a lot more resources on detail in the map. And since there is only driving in Forza Horizon 4 just feel superior to the crew 's driving.
According to me the best suggestion is........

Tbh i feel like the crew 2 is better in all aspects except graphics i say tis because the people at ivory tower go above and beyond with the majority of the updates and theres just so much to di along with the huge map and in forza after a good 3 months (ive been playing the crew 2 regularly for over 2 years now)i got bored of it because the map is so small and its ridiculously easy to get cars so everyone has the same cars all the time even with the "rare cars" forza adds and the physics piss me off so much especially with the rocks and the handling feels weird because theres little to no resistance when steering

I only play the crew 2 because I don't have an Xbox. Forza horizon is the best driving game I ever played, mainly because I don't like full on simulators. It's just too much fun. And also it's beautiful. To be honest is the only thing missing in my ps4.

My opinion is biased in some way since I've played over 150h of The Crew 2 before playing FH4 (both on pc). FH4, I 've played for about 10h.
Anyway, even if it is a bit less graphically impressive, I feel like The Crew 2 has nailed the arcade racing game mix. The game requires skill while still being fun. The various types of vehicules, and cars, and different types of races is really well done. The visual customization is pushed further, at the cost of visual fidelity. Don't take me wrong the game still looks good, eventhough the 60fps locked framerate is a bummer compared to the unlocked refresh rate of Forza.
Give The Crew 2 a try it is still cared for by its developpers with weekly events.

I bought Crew 1 when it was on a crazy sale. Super fun game. I tried the forza horizon 4 demo and it's objectively better in every way, but it didn't have the same fun factor. Crew have police , motors , air jets(not military) , ships and more cityes and bigger maps. Forza haves more cars better graphics(crew graphics ok not bad) better car dynamics and wrather effects. I played Forza on my Xbox 360. I liked it very much, but i was unable to finish it. Then years later i Got PS4 played some Simulation driving games like GT Sports, Project Cars, Dirt Rally and then Dirt 4, These games changed my mind and i got stuck to simulation driving games since then. But i also have NFS Rivals, NFS 2015 and The Crew 1. So after all in my opinion I would give a shot to The Crew2.
The crew 2 is still very unfinished. U cant even play pvp yet.
The one pro lem with the racing sim games is that they usually throw you in at the deep end which is why I don't like them personally but I see the appeal, I myself love playing on forza games with no assists and simulation steering but with no damage cause I can't learn every track off by heart so I'm bound to fuck up so I don't want that to end my race there and then
